This mod NEEDS a colored version!

tainted lost has a higher chance for cards to be holy cards

In tainted lost "More holy cards", it doesn't actually increase the holy card spawn rate right?

Hi, I didn't change anything in the mod, but somehow the Tainted Names don't show. I unfollowed and refollowe the mod, deleted everytinh and copy pasted it from the backup but still nothing. Any way to fix this?

I like how samson didnt get like a redesign and how the lost is just its regular image but slightly faint

if you use the vitamin c names, does it change boss splash screens? it does that in the original but idk if itll do that here

I was very concerned that I, in my absolutely abysmal mod knowledge, would completely mess something up, but the tutorial worked 100%. Thanks for the direct help! Great mod as well, highly recommended

@ciao_fiv I might tweak that later, I'm away from my desktop until Monday. Currently all I have is a Mac which doesn't play nice with Repentance unfortunately. Glad to hear it's working though!

i guess it never properly updated, i unsubscribed and resubscribed and that fixed it! only minor complaint now is that tainted samson, apollyon, and eden have their hints under their starting items unlike every other character who has them on top. weird inconsistency in my opinion but otherwise it all looks good, thanks!!

@ciao_fiv Argh crud, really? I did add all that. Did the mod actually update on your end?

If it did, could you take a look at the "backup" folder and see if any of the sprite sheets contain any of the new lines like "Fetal Fury" or "Plague Bringer"? They'd be located towards the bottom leftish.

did you intend to add in all the new tainted character hints with this update? i didnt notice any changes, tainted samson still doesnt list berserk, tainted lilith still doesnt list gello. the new hints like "fetal fury" for tainted lilith and "broken wings" for tainted azazel are cool, was hoping to have those show up with the mod ("clot summoner" for tainted eve is especially good imo)

Compatibility for the newest Repentance patch is out. Let me know if I broke anything!

@ciao_fiv I'll get one out eventually but it'll have to wait a bit, I'm currently extremely busy with personal matters, so I can't exactly give a timeline. It will happen though!

@cadetpirx Sorry, but not really. There's a lot of headaches that come with updating this mod and making various versions for it. I don't mind if someone else wants to give it a shot though!

@cadetpirx Sorry, but I don't intend on supporting anything with colors in this mod. Some day way down the road I plan to release a mod teeming with colors, but currently I've got a lot of other things going on in my life to focus on.

@cadetpirx Really? Well I hope this one is visible then. What I said was if you subscribe to the mod that changes the boss names and this mod and enable both, mine should still take priority over the character select whilst also changing the boss intros. I haven't tested this, but that's what *should* happen based on what I know.

Does the Vitamin C version include the boss intro changes or does it only affect the names?

Ahhhhahaha... I see I accidentally overwrote my meticulously written instructions for that. Sorry about that, I'll try and fix it later today.

Essentially you just go to the mods folder, and rename the "charactermenualt.png" AND "charactermenualt.anm2" to "charactermenu.[file ext.] - Original" (or any other placeholder name). Then you can change "charactermenualt - Alt Style" or "charactermenualt - Both Names" to "charactermenualt.[file ext.]"

Hopefully that makes some sense and sorry again about messing up the page. Really wishing steam backed these up

Just something I noticed, but Lazarus is listed as starting with Anemic on a fresh save instead of his pill.

@clemmy Sorry but that would be something better suited for a separate mod imo. Also I'm not entirely sure how to do that. I mean, I think I know of a way but it would cause severe compatibility issues for other mods that would be a major issue for something that's only supposed to be a graphical mod. I hope you understand!

@Aggressive Bloodshark It should be, although if you mean that modded characters will receive their own custom "extra stats note" then no. I have to manually create and implement each of the notes, and even then I am not entirely sure how to overwrite a modded character's charactermenu.png stuff to implement any notes I create. Maybe I'll try and look into it some more in the future!
