There is 0 replacing of files. However, please use the more up to date mod. This one is kept up as some people are still subscribed to this one and don't want to force people to switch.

Works good on version 3.4, no bugs or conflicts. Probably just change the supported version in "descriptor.mod" from supported_version="3.2.*" to supported_version="3.4.*". At least that's how I did it, in order to get not the yellow warning light.

I've played it with 3.4
I know I need to re-balance for this patch, but everything works as far as I could tell.

However, I think my processor is currently having overheating issues as my system crashes on heavy load atm so I can't Stellaris.

I do not have the skill to add new portraits and I am unsure how I'd formulate a civic based around them.

I very much need to change up balance in regards to our current civics and state of the game.

I believe random AI are able to spawn with the civics right now. They're weighted to 0, but I doubt that stops the AI from taking them on creation. You'll have to sadly experiment.

The original version of this mod had a counterpart that disabled random AIs from using its contents. Does this version do the same or, if not, does such a version exist? I like running these civs but don't enjoy seeing them randomly popping up everywhere.
Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, it's a little tedious sifting through Steam comments.

Howdy!

Okay, so, I wanted to ask you before doing anything, but I have made a variation of this mod called "Pony Stuff - Aesthetics", where I purposefully took away all the gameplay things like the added civics, and reorganized the Species Classes so it isn't as cluttered. I was wondering if I could upload it to the workshop as an alternative for those that don't care for the civics.

Aha, in that case I will spare myself and other people the pain of discovering which mods I used (Im too new to tell what is vanilla and not) So in that case I will keep them for myself for now, and one day I might go over them to "Vanilarize" them.

I also personally avoid trying to go too far away from vanilla in terms of things like civic and trait point adding.

(Oh btw, strangely enough I never watched MLP or am a true fan, I just really loved the Hearts of Iron 4 "Equestria at War" mod, which is where i got all my lore from lol. So if i do share, let people know to edit them to the lore versions if they desire to) (As in, i was just making some RP elements I deemed logical for what I was making, Daybreakers Empire, Lunars Empire, Commonwealth of Equestria. Sombra's Empire) (And am using mods which add 3 more civic points and more trait points)

Normal can only be used with normal empires, AI with robots, and Lithoids with Lithoids.

Now that I think about it, I think some latest updates may make it unnecessary to have those designations or have all three on a single set.

Also, Gestalt civics have different bonuses than normal empire civics.

I should consider making them more unique at some point but with the new Unity update, I decided on a wait and see approach.

Also for all those wondering, I think I need to do a restructuring of the event code to handle the more complex overhaul part of the mod. The civics atleast still work fine, but the tracking and rampup garnered by starbase buildings nor are the modules working correctly.

Ayyy gotcha. By the way, spawning in as the dragons and switching to the Humans worked and has worked fine for me so far. However, I did discover something else. The empires that I made that have the Eternal government were switched to dictatorial and such. So something's going on there as well. I really wish there was someway for me to check possible mod conflicts much easier. XD

Running this mod alone without the Pony Stuff Fixes does still work. Though it does once again lead to clutter in the portrait selection window, and the empire traits specific to Equestrians. So it appears the problem is in that mod, or at least when combined. A pity though, the Fixes were an improvement IMO.

With this mod, my other mod that most people care a whit about, one of the traditions mods, and the elves mod... I was not able to reproduce this bug. Please check your other mods or run only this mod. You can save your empire designs by going into my documents.

@cdcdrr I see the complaint I'm loading a save I started earlier today - I didn't vet other civs, just if my game could start up or the modules could.

I just checked my game - I have no non-modded species other than fallen empires / marauders. Everything is pony.

I appear to have the same problem as ThatRandomAlien, with custom equestrian empires not spawning even when set to forced. It's not the star system bug, those are all set to random except Void Dwellers. Only the selected equestrian civ I select makes it in. I'm currently only using this mod and the Pony Stuff Fixes (ranked below this in playset). I have Equestrian Origins deactivated.

There's probably more going on here . I unfortunately don't have time until Sunday ( TG weekend ) to really delve into anything here. I hope your fun can continue.

Do not forget you can save your user designs by going into the documents/paradox/stellaris subsection of your drive to get the user designs file copy it and put it elsewhere. It's what I do.

Sorry to cause all the trouble. I found a workaround I think though. Spawn as the dragons and then switch over to the empire I wanna play. Going through my conglomerate of mods to find out what's causing this would be another 1 or 2 hours of testing and such. :winter2019joyfultearsyul:

Oh, I am setting them to force spawn. But it seems no matter what I do, unless I change the appearance, they don't spawn. Also, the load order shiss is a bit complex, but I'm trying my best to understand it. ^^;

You may need to set them to forced spawn, along with all other user generated empires. It's how I get mine in my games.
