Also, I have found a way to be able to cheese Double Pedastal rooms...at least the usual alignment of them in Treasure Rooms. Position and lock in place Esau to the far end of the room, being in the path of the item you want him to take, and the instant that Jacob takes the item you want him to take, let go of the Lock button to make Esau zip over to him, and he SHOULD take the other item. It's worked every time I tried it, at least in the usual DPedastal Treasure Room arrangement.
godsend mod
and you don't even have to get the mod so stop complaining like broo
so you can still take both items from options/alt path or get both the negative and the polaroid
If I was to advise on how to improve the mod, I'd suggest having a unique button that switches between "Hand-holding" mode and "Split-up" mode. This fixes the issue while keeping the unique feel of the character.
One last thing, if you were someone who doesn't care about the unique-ness of Jacob and Esau, I'd heavily recommend this mod since it is a good one. It just doesn't help my playstyle.
I figured this out just after two tries so even if it's a bit trickier than without the mod, it's totally doable consistently!
