welp, this mod's now useless. you can turn off the ascent voicelines in options.ini

@Ataristic Maybe, I think I installed a mod that replaces the hurt sound effect before the mod stopped working so that might be the culprit, but coincidentally I had the stop watch in both of my ascent runs when the mod stopped working so that led me to believe that maybe the slowed down audio conflicted with the mod.

@YoungM works for me, maybe a mod conflict, and as minimal as this mod is by simply editing out the references to the voice clips I can't guarantee any compatibility.

Updated for Repentance+, though as a consequence it's probably no longer compatible with plain Repentance, the file paths have changed.

Thank you. I think this dialogue was very out of place in this game to begin with, but making us hear it every time is just so stupid. It's like some intern put that in and no one bothered to double check it.

@Ataristic I figured it out and yes. You can replace the voice files if you specify they should be .wav instead of .ogg, doesn't really help the purpose of this specific mod but just as a heads up

@Auld They are the only sound effect files in .ogg format instead of .wav, maybe the mod loading code is buggy and insists on .wav for sfx,

Do you think there's a reason why these sound files in particular don't want to be edited? I tried making a replacement mod, but it just doesn't work for some reason.

@infernalthing Several attempts of replacing the sound clip files (0 byte ones, 1 sample of silence, hell, just copying an existing sound FX on top of them) had no effect so I'm at a loss why I couldn't alter the sound files themselves and opted to just remove them from the sounds.xml instead.
