The Vigilants practice restoration and alteration magics to assist them in their mission. Wards and healing spells, as well as the mage armor spells. They aren't summoning daedra or killing random travelers to use in experiments like the witches they hunt.

I don't know how to do that kind of stuff, and I don't have the time to learn or work on this anymore. Sorry :/ If anyone wants to use this as a starting point for a more comprehensive mod, feel free, but please give me credit for what I've done with it.

And all you do in the quest related to the vigilants is going to that cave just to see them die.. Maybe add named vigilants or somthing like that.

It's quite disappointing that they didn't even make new dialogue for them. The news obviously travels through all of Skyrim, since the guards all know it. It would be stupid to leave behind the assumption that the Vigilants didn't find out just as quickly.

Yeah, try t add both because in the DLC they make it sound like they join together but really the viglants do nothing and are exaclty the same, well except for their hall.

I'd thought of doing something that adds either them or Dawnguard (or both) to various places like that. I'll see what I can do over the break.

I dont have dawnguard at the moment, but I have an idea, I would add vigilants of stendarr at the major town because vampires will attack.
Also maybe add more vigilants, because since the vampires attacked and everybody knows it people are joining up with the vigilants to stop the vampires.
I know this is a lot but please try to do this.

Just make sure that if you uninstall and then reinstall it later, you aren't in the Southwestern area of Riften or in Fort Dawnguard.

I tested it twice in different locations. I went to Dayspring Canyon, closed the game, turned the mod off, reopened the game, and it worked fine. Then I closed the game, turned the mod back on, went back into the game, and promptly crashed to desktop. The same thing happened when I was near Stendarr's Beacon and repeated the process. You must be outside of the areas the mod alters if you are reinstalling it.

If you have previously uninstalled this mod, do not reinstall if you are inside of any of the altered cells. You will crash.

xD it also depends on the factions that the authors gave people. For instance, the Dawnguard and Vigilant factions are always hostile to vampires, but skeevers and vampires aren't hostile to each other.

i downloaded adventurers and travellers and more people in skyrim and a few minutes ago i think they collided and started beating each other

I don't see why it wouldn't be. Both mods ONLY add NPC's, correct? Of course, the NPC's added by the mods may follow the same paths and daily routines depending on what packages the other author used, which would look really awkward.

I'm pretty sure that she still has the mod up and supports it on the Nexus. If she stopped supporting it, it should be inside of a collection she has for all of her unsupported mods.

It would appear that you're correct. Elianora has a habit of putting mods up on both Nexus and Steam and all of a sudden taking them down or saying they will no longer be supported. I'll update my description accordingly. Thank you.

Improvement idea (you didn't mention this in the description):
There are a few nice spots left in Dayspring Canyon where you could add a small house or camp for them.

I really like this idea that they seek refuge in the Canyon when the hall gets raided.
