The Egyptians aren't in the Bronze Age. Just because they have chariots doesn't mean they are Bronze Age units, they literally use iron kopesh and armor. The Egyptians in RTW are equipped like they were when they fought Cambyses, ~250 years before the game, not ~1000 years. Except the head dresses, those are Middle and New Kingdom things.

Im sure many mods will correct the bronze age Egypt haha, I already saw some other mods, just like the popularity of the Spartans in Rome 2 Total War here it would be Egypt

@Kamakaziwarlord - Well the creator seems to have a much better understanding of how to mod the game. I'm not saying this mod is rubbish, it does exactly what it says on the tin, but I think his mod currently has more potential as a result of his superior knowledge of the game.

@BENNI.RoR - No, I'm still hoping to figure out and fix the outstanding issues. I'm just saying that there are some good alternatives available for those who want them.

Hey all, just noticed that an alternate mod was uploaded recently by Crysix . If you want a more fleshed-out overhaul to the Egyptian faction, I recommend you use that instead.

I'm also pleased to announce that I think I may have finally found a program that enables GIMP to read the .dds files for unit skins so I should now be able to recolour all the units on the battle map. A special thank you to @Crysix for pointing me in the direction of the Total War discord which provided the program in question.

Thanks! I like to have a mod like this only covering Egypt. I really hope you can keep improving it with things like unit colours and flags/symbols (I tried myself to do something like this and failed miserably).

Great mod, you might add scythed chariots to Egypt given their use by the Seleucids.

There are ancient, dusty places where generations of old Total War players and modders have collected entire libraries of knowledge... There you can find those answers you are looking for... I'm joking :)

I wish I could offer some assistance in the issues you listed but I only know how to mod R2, Attila and ToB.

I will say however your changes and decisions seem accurate enough for a vanilla Hellenistic Egypt. And I am personally all for renaming it to "Ptolemaic Kingdom" or even "Ptolemaic Egypt" (if you think this last name does the job without confusing people too much).
