Nevermind, I took a 5 minute crash course on how to mod kenshi and learned that FCS has an easy "compare to base value" function and "revert value" function when editing existing mods.

Could someone make version of this that just increases the fogmen/nest amount and respawn rate, but not the health increase?
Hivers having low health is one of their key things and I feel this change ruins the experience fighting them too much, while there being more of them really fits the hive / swarm aspect.
