im getting crashes just trying to make a character at the start of games when using this

it crashes my game when i try to create a new character mid game

i just want to be able to click on any character in ck3 regardless if their landed or landless with a button that just takes me into ruler designer to edit their DNA, dont want to download cheat engine, dont want to switch character in order to change some DNA, does this mod do this?

Okay, I tried playing using no mods, uninstalling mods and once start date begins I am still unable to use the Ruler designer. I even did a reinstall and It's still greyed out.

Once you make the extra characters in-game, how the hell do you absorb them into your original character's faction?

@paulwhitlock2 Make sure RDU is on the bottom of your load order, if you're playing with other mods there's a possibility that one or multiple of them are incompatible with RDU or just a load order issue!

No files related to the Ruler Designer were changed for 1.14.0, there is no need for an update, it still works perfectly!

is it possible this is still conflicting with mods it did not in previous patches, I see others mention spouse designer and its one of the mods I have that aren't working. Does anyone know if it would be a different mod conflicting with Spouse designer?

@SobbingCorpse, finally got it working apologies for my "grumpy bastid" post below. Had to load it low low followed only by Better Ruler Designer and GUI mods, and delete any other multiplayer_lobby.gui files in my playlist. And it STILL shows the red popup "You have already created a ruler" but it lets me create a new one -- but by default they are dudes. None of my saved female rulers work (and they are all dudes in ruler designer now), but importing fresh DNA did the trick. Bit of a jank workaround, but it worked.

This is not working with the new DLC, and neither is the other "ruler after game start" mod, and spouse designer needs to be updated too. All of which is to be expected but damn how did PDX break ruler designer so badly. Creating characters after game start should be a no brainer.

Not sure if it's the mod or if it's the game, doing a base game save with only this mod.

running for a hellenic jesus figure, trying to convert everyone and i'm trying to do the ascension decision in my multiplayer game with some buds.

have all the requirements but no matter what i do, it isn't considering me "in a hellenic holy site ruled by hellenic top liege" despite me being in tunis, with the top liege of tunis being hellenic.

@celticosprey Are you using any other mods while also using RDU? There might be mod conflicts causing issues.
