As long as you walk into the treasure room on the first floor the second one will be filled. The mod makes it so the first treasure room you enter will be empty.

idk if this has been reported but i think ive run into a bug. if you start a run and enter your first item room, there's nothing there (as intended) but then if you progress through some floors and leave the run for a bit by exiting out, when you come back the next item room you enter will be empty.

@Hohol if you mean that the 2nd floor treasure room is empty, you have to go into the 1st floor treasure room. this stops the next treasure room from being empty.

Did the mod break completely? It no longer shows at the start of the run, tried re-downloading it. I don't think it's the matter of my other mods. It would be a shame as it was a life saver when trying to speedrun achivements.

Worked the first run then all the following runs had empty treasure room starting at second floor.

Mod works fine. You just have to go into the empty item room on the first floor. If you don't, the item room on the next floor will also be empty.

I made a bit more cheesy version for people who are even lazier, to apply it go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Binding of Isaac Rebirth\mods\betterishstart_2444327747" (or wherever the mod is stored) and open the main.lua file and replace it with this https://hastebin.com/share/xidedupinu.php
All it does is try to make all of the 4 items which spawn quality 4 items, and if it cant it will just take a random item from the treasure room pool. I might try to fix some of the feature treasure rooms soon too

Don't use the mod, it gives you one item at the start and then breaks the rest of the rooms. Please fix this, it has potential.

as nice as it seems... this mod breaks item rooms after the 1st floor and prevent you from getting steady upgrades as you progress... why not just delete the "no item in the 1st floor's item room"....because that coded part breaks all floors now

For anyone saying this mod is bugged, you still have to enter the 1st item room. If you do not, nothing else will spawn. It's not a bug lol

This mod is super amazing and basically a necessity. Thanks for making it! I like that you actually still have to visit the treasure room on the first floor as a downside.

If you want to spawn item on second floor and futher you need to come in fisrt Treasure Room. First floor often to come!
