only if the effect was deliberately set up with a control point to change that trait, like the colorable effects in this mod already are. if you want to recolor or resize anything , then you'd be better off learning how to use the particle editor.
the overhauled version of the addon will have this
yes, the overhauled version of the addon will have this
What's the problem exactly, are you still getting the "CreateParticleEffect" error? That shouldn't be possible unless you have an old version of the addon installed somehow - try entering this into the console while in a game, and it'll tell you where the outdated file is:
whereis lua/entities/particlecontroller_normal.lua
good catch
Updated particle lists and new features like Adv. Bonemerge support will not be added to this version of the mod. In their current implementation, all the particle lists have to be typed out manually , and I have to individually check every single effect to see if they're colorable or usable as a beam or broken or whatnot, which is an enormous amount of work when TF2 updates add dozens of new effects three times every year.
I've been working on-and-off on a remade version of the addon that can read .pcf files and do all this stuff automatically (no need for other mod authors to add their own lists, either), along with a bunch of other improvements, but it's slow going and definitely won't be out this year.
Please fix this!!! There are no other particle addons like this
