Download my "version" by clicking subscribe on this page. :)
But you might be more interested in the official DJI FPV drone. Download it here :

As you all might have seen, Liftoff and DJI have released an official DJI FPV drone for free, for a limited time !!
Make sure to get it here :

I was just pretty confused and wanted to make sure i wasn't missing something.
Thank you!
- Thank you for telling me it downloads with max rate of 800. That´s a mistake on my end. That´s what i fly the DJI FPV drone with, and not what it came with.
I just pushed out an update to this quad, and set the rates to be what the DJI FPV drone came with.. Sorry about that, and thank you for noticing it. :) Your drone should update automatically next time you launch Liftoff.
Just in case, i´ll write the rates here too:
RC Rate: 1.01
Super Rate: 0.52
RC Expo: 0.21
That should match the what the DJI FPV drone comes with irl..
Also your graph makes it really easy to convert actual dji FPV rates to betaflight, perfect for practice and trying out different rates.
Yes, the tuning on this quad, should match what the DJI FPV drone have IRL. Not in numbers, but in performance.
Understanding pid tuning is a lengthy process, and it took me a couple of years to fully get the grasp on it.
I would suggest watching "Chris Rosser", and/or "UAV Tech" on youtube. They are both pid tuning pioneers. :)
I have trouble understanding PID tuning, but it seems to be default with this drone you made?

Liftoff unfortunately have not implemented "actual rates" yet.. So to get matching rates in Liftoff as in real life on your DJI drone, you have to convert them. I´ve made somewhat of a guide on how to do that.
When you download this quad, the rates in Liftoff will already match the rates the DJI drone have in real life. Already made the conversion for you :)
Feel free to join my discord lounge, where this quad have it´s own discussion topic..
Definately the fastest way to reach out to me if you have any fpv related questions (both irl and Liftoff). :)

Superrate is a combination of rc rate and expo, but mostly affect the rc rate.
The issue with it is that it´s confusing, and both rc rate and expo are somehow linked together via superrate.
- If you add superrate, both max rate and expo will change.
On top of that, you can add expo separately. Very weird way to do it.
That´s why DJI and Betaflight 4.2 use "actual rates".
They are much more logical to finetune to you preference.
In "actual rates" center sensitivity and max rate are separate, which makes it a lot easier.
So if you know you want 700 degrees/sec at full stick deflection, and 300 around the center, you just enter that. Want some expo ? Add some.. :)
Very logical and easy to understand.
- I think, and i hope, that the Liftoff developers will implement Actual rates, hopefully soon.. I´ve requested it, and waiting for a response :) I think it would help a lot of people, both those flying betaflight 4.2 and the DJI FPV drone..
I've tried and it's possible to convert rates if you are very passionate.
Just a thought, maybe we could somehow solve that equations with some degree of precision via https://www.wolframalpha.com/ instead of manually trying to brute force a solution.
Here´s a link to the actual rates converter. Please play around with it, and get back to me, if you find rates that match the DJI fpv drone better than mine, and i´ll take a look.
What you do, is put in the dji rates in the "Actual Rates" and move the Betaflight sliders to get it to match.

Later today, i might push these rates out as an update to the DJI FPV drone i have created, to get it more accurate.
Thank you for your question.. I learned stuff, while hopefully helping more people :) Win win..

I looked into it, and actually asked Joshua Bardwell. Betaflight developers have confirmed that the DJI FPV rates, are the Betaflight "Actual rates" introduced in BF 4.2.
Liftoff does not use Actual Rates, so what we have to do, is convert the rates from Actual Rates, to normal BF rates, so we can put them into Liftoff..
I´ve converted the rates for you, according to the imgur of the DJI rates you sent me.
It won´t ever be 100% exact, but it´s pretty close. Here´s a screenshot of the two rate lines.
The red curve is the Actual rates (dji rates), and the purple line is the betaflight/liftoff rates..

So what i´ve found to be good rates to match the dji fpv drone, is:
RC Rate: 1.24
Super Rate: 0.69
Expo: 0.35
So I'm trying to find corresponding settings in Liftoff.
[Dji FPV - Simulator]
Center sensitivity - ?
Max Rate - Max velocity
Expo - RC Expo
To make the stick center less sensitive, add more RC expo.. That´s basically the center sensitivity setting :)
Just one thing, I wasn't been able to find 'Center sensitivity' setting there : (

I will take a look at the pids and rates again tomorrow. But it should be pretty close. Power and weight have been adjusted to be as close as i could get it. I will spend some time with it tomorrow, and see if i can dial it in more. :)
Please be aware, that running Liftoff on underpowered pc´s, can mess with the physics and change the feel of the quad. Might not be an issue for you, just wanted to throw that out there :)
Happy flying.. <3
but as a owner of dji fpv is not looks the same to me at all its a bit heavy and drifting so much
