It's been quite a while since I worked on this mod, but perhaps I'll revisit it and look into possibly making a ring for it.
anthonyjohnadlington Jun 7, 2015 @ 3:48pm
Would be nice to be able to put it on a ring or clothes ??

Hey, I really want to try this mod out. Mainly for the direction detection HUD text feature. But I'm a duel weilding warrior. I have a mod ring that is always active, I think it's called TriRings of Power. I can see "life" all around. But it's an aura covering them, blue for good guys and red for bad folks or wildlife. but I can't see what they are very well. So your mod is just what I need for that. But I really don't want to cast magic if I don't have to.... You think you might be able to make an item like that? Oh yeah, I found this mod looking for a "detect undead" ring of something close.

Awesome!!! I never knew I had do many enemies surrounding me, wow! O.O If I could give you more thumbs up, I definately would! This is my Number #1 Mod on my list of favorites Thank you so much.. :)
NightShadeX62 Dec 15, 2013 @ 2:31pm
Gave you a thumbs up too!!
NightShadeX62 Dec 15, 2013 @ 2:30pm
Thanks you for making this mod!! Now, I hope I can find the individual attacking me magically. I so want to tear them apart!!
Avalanche Aug 23, 2013 @ 9:44pm
i personally would like the mod if it actually lasted for 60secs, it lasts a mere 15 seconds.

@jjb-54: Agreed it's a great mod (even if I say so myself). I always play Dead Is Dead (restart the game if I die), and so knowing what's around me is definietly a life-saver. I think if I had to choose my 2 favorite mods (of mine), it would be this and my Airstream Levitation mods.

Thanks for feedback!

Observe - This has to be THE #1 MOD I use ALL THE TIME! It took me awhile to remember, oh - hey, I've got this new mod! Better check it out.

Man this MOD is on my QUICK PICK in Skyrim and GLAD it is at the top of my Favorite list - it has saved my butt more times than I could count - not to mention, let me know there was food read for the night's dinner! :D

Thanks - This is an AWESOME MOD! It's is always at the ready w/my left hand and my sword in the right.
Walla Walla Jul 25, 2013 @ 5:37pm
Thanks.

@jscottvarney: This is something I've considered from time to time. The closest I have at the moment, is my Isle of the Akavir mod - which has my Tome collection of books available inside the house. I realize that may not quite suit your request, but I am very pressed for time atm, and probably I won't be able to produce any new mods/collections until undefined future.

Thanks
Walla Walla Jul 25, 2013 @ 5:29pm
Could you please put your tomes into one mod?
nsane805 Apr 4, 2013 @ 11:32am
May i request a Tome made in dragonborn please? The seeker spell in dragonborn i want made into a raise thrall spell with the reagent of heartstone. If reagent isnt in inventory it will attack you. Mana cost for this spell should be around 350( expert level).
This will be a permanent raise dead spell great for necromancers to use.The tome should be placed near the starting area of Dragonborn DLC. I have been reading alot of text in game about Heartstone and I believe this will follow the history of this rare stone

I see no posts here for awhile - I just had to say, "THANKS" - this mod has Dovahkiin's butt more than a few times ... it is a very much used maybe even abused spell... Thanks again.

Cool mod, but the text (which makes this mod what it is) would break immersion for me, which is what I enjoy most about Skyrim. My first mods and my favourite mods are immersion mods like Imp's More Complex Needs, Hypothermia (by Nitor), and Camping Kit of The Northern Ranger (by The Northern Ranger). I do like the custom texture for the book, though. Very...snazzy.

Updated Version 3.0 Aug 25, 2012 PST)

Changed spell type from Lesser Power Concentration to Fire & Forget. Now you cast as you would any normal spell.

Apparently one of the Skyrim updates caused this spell to operate for only a brief time (seconds). I have been away from the Skyrim modding scene in recent months, so I don't know which update was responsible.

Consequently, I am modifying the spell to compensate. Will update when available "soon".

@Killa B: This (spell fizzled sound) did not happen originally. I am looking into the cause.

Thanks!
Admiral Asgrim Jul 20, 2012 @ 10:41am
really like the sound of this mod and definatly going to try it out but for those who wish to use other powers with this, could you re-upload this as a ring (or any other item really) version?
ZigCat Jul 7, 2012 @ 3:40pm
i really like this mod, but i don't think it's working the way it was intended.
when i activate it, by pressing the Z-key, i can hear the "spell fizzled"-sound you get from casting spells with insufficient mana, and when outside, i get i brief flash of whats around, then the summary scrolls by and that's it.

is there something special i need for this to work?
some specific place in the load-order?
or is it possible, that this mod doesn't like the "free casting ring"-mod i'm using?
BradtheBarbarian Jun 6, 2012 @ 9:58pm
I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong or not. Most of the time when I try to use it (pressing Z) nothing happens at all. I actually got jumped by a couple of saber cats that came in from behind me unawares while I was struggling to turn the darned spell on and almost got killed!!! And when it *does* work, I get such a flood of information I can't process all the information or even determine which critter I'm detecting is which when comparing the glows in the landscape to the information scrolling on the screen.
TheFlamingDaedra May 26, 2012 @ 1:36am
just to help the creator of the "LOTR Frodo sting svord." It would need this enchant, to be the perfect... if you can i think he'd be really grateful :)
TheFlamingDaedra May 26, 2012 @ 1:34am
... can you make this, just for orc's? As an echantment?
JDogOLuck May 25, 2012 @ 5:53pm
Ah this is absolutly perfect! I was looking for a "smell" mod for my Kajhitt Agent/Theif, Tybalt. Something where he can "take a sniff" and sense if anything is nearby. But I didn't want he unrealistic persision detect life gives you. This is just how a sense of smell would work. He can't determine "exactly" where something is through walls and such. But he can easily recognize what he smells.
milo May 18, 2012 @ 1:37pm
I've noticed that it doesn't detect sometimes until you've visually seen the target, and sometimes not even then. The real detect life spell does, however. Tested in sleeping giant inn. When shopkeeper is behind desk this doesn't detect him, but regular detect life does. If I move around behind the desk then it detects him.

Version 2.0 now available.

Change Log:

Version 2.0 May 05, 2012 PST)

- Changed name of the spell
- Added notification when enemy leaves detection range.

Notes:

This spell has undergone extensive review and research into various alternatives. For several reasons, in spite of minor complications using a Concentration spell in this manner, I decided to stay with activation as a Lesser Power (z key) instead of using a ring or other item.

Thanks for your feedback!

FYI: This mod doesn't affect any vanilla files and I don't expect it'll affect saves or be accected by other "well behaving" mods.
✠Deser✞🅵☣⚔⚔♏✠ Apr 28, 2012 @ 9:53am
Alot of people are afraid to try mods, because they don't want there saves broken. I came close to haveing to start over with mods like amazing followers and a castle mod this week.

But your mod is a great idea.
Observe  [author] Apr 28, 2012 @ 7:03am
It is an active power. I wonder if you have guys tried it, or are just commenting on how the description reads?
✠Deser✞🅵☣⚔⚔♏✠ Apr 28, 2012 @ 1:19am
Why not make it an active power, or somthing attached to a ring.
Observe  [author] Apr 27, 2012 @ 7:08pm
Perhaps I didn't explain well enough.

This Power doesn't stop you from mining/casting etc.

It remains active while exloring and can be recast as often as you like.

The only limitation(?) is it will turn off when you sheath/unsheath your weapon (or spells) and you must turn it off to engage in other activites (mining etc).
Tleno Apr 27, 2012 @ 8:40am
Hmmm, the idea is awesome, but I dislike those limitations like no mining/casting/sprinting, and, honestly, I think this would be much cooler as a ring or other equipable item.
