Nah, no way moddable I guess...

Thanks for the mod, it helped keep the game somewhat playable with Orderlies.

Not sure if you take suggestions but right now Criminally insane can’t be paroled, despite being eligible for it under tasks. Is it fixable via modding?

Neary 1K subs for this hotfix, thanks for your trust/support!
I guess this mod is obsolete now (though I haven't checked the game update yet).

Before disabling the mod, simply sell the Door Checkers you have placed.
Or go yolo and just disable, and use the 'Remove None' tool from my DevTools mod to get rid of all the none-existing objects on your map.

Fixed , but murgh you the best , this mod save my sanity !

Mod update:

- added detailed tooltip on Door Checkers to show info of the monitored door.
murgh  [author] Feb 24, 2021 @ 6:01am
Let's see if this fixes it better...

Mod update:

- removed scripts from the jaildoors
- added Door Checked in Staff Menu.

Put Door Checkers from the Staff menu nearby large jaildoors to monitor them.

Ok guys, after some more fiddling around it turns out that this hotfix cannot work properly: doors reset their scripts as soon as they are moved/carried so it wipes all settings...

The only thing I can think of is to rewrite the fix and make a new object which you have to place next to the large doors. This object then should keep an eye on the door and adjust it when needed. It will also need to delete the door + spawn a new one when an Orderly opens it for somebody, to get rid of the 'people walking straight through a closed door' bug.

Great.

Good thing I don't have an orderly cause I'm making a psych ward that ignores all human rights so who needs a doctor to look after these people. I'll just put them in solitary when ever the bar gets red

Gott sei dank endlich ruhe mit diesen falschen Türen.
jDog Feb 20, 2021 @ 8:41pm
Brilliant!
I cannot believe a door glitch on a freaking prison simulator is allowed to exist for so long. Thanks for stepping up and handling this! You literally made this game playable again. Thank you so much!

@T0Toner most likely you did not activate the mod in the game after subscribing.
Extras- > mods -> tick the checkbox behind this mod and press Apply.

Update: It works and you are a saint.
melonmuffin Feb 20, 2021 @ 12:29pm
Oh damn if this works you are a saint. This bug has been driving me crazy.
T0Toner Feb 20, 2021 @ 12:19pm
no other mods installed murgh, this is the only thing i have used the workshop on PA for and it didn't work, so...
murgh  [author] Feb 20, 2021 @ 1:31am
I've uploaded a screenshot to clarify, so you can see what the scripted large doors do. It's nothing special and it doesn't need to write anything to your saved game.
murgh  [author] Feb 20, 2021 @ 12:44am
@Charlie no additional properties are written to the savedgame.
The doorsettings are stored in RAM when the game loads or when you place a door.
When a real patch comes out I will update this mod and disable its scripts so nobody can forget to deactivate it.
kemills Feb 19, 2021 @ 4:56pm
Thank you for this. The jail door thing is bugging me big time.
CharliePryor Feb 19, 2021 @ 4:15pm
Will this be safe to remove once the official fix comes through? You said it scripts the doors, so I assume save files are permanently impacted?
Meowseph Stalin Feb 19, 2021 @ 10:02am
Thank you Murgh!
murgh  [author] Feb 19, 2021 @ 8:48am
Another door bug? lol yes it should fix that as well then...
conneath Feb 19, 2021 @ 8:44am
does this fix the similar bug where large jail doors can get rotated when they get repaired?
murgh  [author] Feb 19, 2021 @ 12:12am
Another mod perhaps, so reorder modslist and put this one higher.
T0Toner Feb 18, 2021 @ 9:56pm
didn't work, not sure why.
Iamokay13 Feb 18, 2021 @ 6:40pm
Murgh you savior, all my doors started going sideways out of no where and you already patched it, thank you man.
mzda_grl Feb 18, 2021 @ 4:35pm
It didn't cause any lag in my game, but good to know!
murgh  [author] Feb 18, 2021 @ 3:39pm
Please be aware that this scripts ALL large jail doors, so it might bring some lag with it if you have many.
mzda_grl Feb 18, 2021 @ 3:28pm
Awesome! Also, I had a lot of large jail doors, so it's possible that it was one that I missed when replacing all the doors.
murgh  [author] Feb 18, 2021 @ 3:24pm
Asssuming that means he carried the door, this should now also be solved.
mzda_grl Feb 18, 2021 @ 2:40pm
It works 99% of the time, but it just had one minor glitch where an orderly picked up the door and it was just spinning above him :lunar2019crylaughingpig:. Once I sacked him though, the door flew back into position and remained there. The other orderlies went through the door with no issue. So weird! But I'm loving this fix - the game is playable now. Curious to hear if it's also working for other people.
mzda_grl Feb 18, 2021 @ 2:06pm
This works! Thank you! :steamhappy:
