Ok the new driver cards for using 2D6 have been published in a bag called "High Gear". This changes the probability some from rolling 1D6. Also this method loses the auto success and auto failure that occurs 1 out of 3 rolls normally.

This makes the Hit The Road deck more interesting because a +1 to your skill when there's more room for failure is worth having.

The Driver skills were shifted so that a skill of 4 on 1D6 is now a 7 on 2D6 and the remaining numbers were plugged in from there.

Play testing it soon to see if this needs to be shifted again in either direction for the game to run well.

I've been thinking about altering the author's rules on rolling with 1D6 and rewriting it to 2D6 along with lowering the hit probability. Right now an undamaged car hits on anything but a 6 giving it about an 85% chance to hit. I feel like having a higher range of numbers and the weighted probability that comes with 2D6 would help here.

Much appreciated: virtual tables can be as long and dusty as they need to be, so it’s a perfect game for this!

I've added an unofficial expansion I called Hit The Road. Let me know what you think.
