Who do I have to pay to get this mod ported to WH3? I've had 0 reason to play Clan Eshin without it.

@n.pedrazalis AI cannot use custom units, due to engine limitations. This goes for all custom unit mods. You need to remove anything that causes the AI to recruit the custom AI's otherwise you will crash every time a battle is loaded with the units on the AI side.

Thanks for the feedback, I doubt I'll have time to implement those changes in the current mod but with WH3 out and soon to get Mortal Empires I will likely end up porting the mod and I'll definitely take your suggestions into consideration.

EDIT: The Blackclaws are extremely overtuned as well. Able to take on entire armies with just one or two units of them.

Again, my suggestion would be two make the Sword-Saint a Hero or Lord whilst also toning down his stats and abilities (I really don't think perma-lightning either fits or is balanced for an already deadly infantry unit) and then make the Blackclaws the Regiment of Renown whilst toning them down as well.

All-in-all not too bad. The only thing I'd feel the need to point out is that the Sword-Saint is *extremely* overtuned. He outclasses every Hero unit and most Lords and is a one-skaven army straight out of the box. For a regiment of renown (a fairly cheap one at that, considering) he needs a liberal application of the nerf bat.

I feel like He'd make a better hero unit than a single-entity renown unit, just feels out of place and way too overpowered in his current role.

Turn him into a Hero or Lord, giving Clan Eshin a unique hero/lord unit aside from Snikch, bump his stats down to levels comparable to the other lords, tweak his abilities a bit and you'd have an amazing, thematic unit that would be a great addition to the roster.

If you want more lore-friendly units to add, the 2nd edition of the rpg [Children of the Horned Rat] mentions that sometimes Eshin uses repeating crossbows.

Do the black furs count as stormvermin? If so, do they get recruitment cost reduction when allying yourself with Clan Mors in campaign? They could become ridiculously cheap otherwise, so I'd advice to take a look at that.

Only way you'd be able to lock them to eshin is either make a custom building that eshin only eshin would have access to or to attach them to a building thats already in game that only eshin has access to. Least to my knowledge. As per the convo below.

Honestly I have no idea if its possible. I haven't been modding WH2 for a while cause life got in the way so I'm not sure if I'll have time to look into it. I like the idea so if I find time I may look into implementing it (assuming it can be done)

Hmm... that is a bummer. Because I'm interested in the units, but think they should be unique to Eshin, unless they are confederated. But it seems like mine is a niche opinion, so I suppose it wouldn't be feasable to do a patch for that?

From the start, I've never tested confederating with Eshin but I imagine it doesn't allow recruitment since you're not actively playing as Eshin.

As I have an Ikit campaign running currently, this looks highly interesting. But I've read in the comments that those units are only recruitable by Clan Eshin. Does this change when you confederate them? Because personally, I'd love for those units to be restricted to Eshin, until you confederate them.

@Tendertail I've added an optional patch that allows recruitment by all major clans. Just load it before this mod and it should work. I tested it in both custom battles and campaign.

As some have asked before me. Could you make a version of this mod that allows other clans to recruit these units. I love the theme and idea's of these, and the Eshin roster did need a boost for those late game buildings, but as it stands these very awesome units will see zero use in any campaign that isint strictly Eshin. I get that you have a personal preference for these units to be stealth, and maybe other players want the lore of these guys working only for the most sneaky of rat bois, but at the end of the day.

I only rock the forbidden workshop and I can't recruit these if you have land locked them to Snitches island.

Having the option to use a different version of the mod that allows wider recruitment would be really nice for player choice.

It's a very nice mod. The only problem I have with it is the Sword Saint having horns. In the lore horned Skaven are supposed to be Grey Seers.

just ran a custom battle with them and they look absolutely awesome, i havent seen custom units with this level of neat customization and attention to details in a long time.. well since I ran radious for the first time i guess, or the old DE custom unit mods around 2018

I am wondering, not criticising, about why is there a reason your shadowvermin and rat ogre have encourage? An AoE leadership bonus usualy found on top tier units or lords seems out of place on ninja units!

I can guarantee you I am enjoying your mod, rather ALL of your mods, immensely.

The only thing that really complete it for me is an additional mod that gives throwingstars for Death Runner by BW. I want my assassin heroes to have a bit of a ranged advantage.
