Someone should really fork this and make them updated to the new bioship system, it's a good fit for them.

After 4.0 update all shipsets in this mod are seen by the game as bio-ships. For anyone wanting to use them as mechanical ships do the steps bellow.
1) go to the mod files - open paradox launcher, find the mod, click on "show in folder"; or manually find the mod in steam workshop folder.
2) go: common > graphical culture
3) open 56_graphical_culture
4) add after shipset name:
ship_kinds = {
default_ship
space_amoeba
tiyanki
voidworm
cutholoid
crystalline_entity
}
5) repeat step 4 for all shipset you DON'T want as bio-ships.

Example how it should look:
terrahuman_01 = {
ship_kinds = {
default_ship
space_amoeba
tiyanki
voidworm
cutholoid
crystalline_entity
}
fallback = mammalian_01

Same treatment should work with other shipset mods that haven't been updated after 4.0. Remember you need to do it every time this mod gets downloaded/redownloaded.

Well yeah, because 4.0 added not just a new shipset but an entirely new ship class (Bio-Ships) so they had to rewrite the way shipsets were handled. This broke all existing shipset mods and require them to be updated. This one hasn't been updated in over 3 yerars due to the author losing the files. So of course, it doesn't work.

Having issues with this, playing 4.0.x, the salvager and biomass sets at least (I didn't check the terrahuman one) fail to load any of the ships smaller than titan in the ship designer. This may be the case for the other designs as well.

Can nsc have permission to incorporate this mod into nsc? It is fine if not. I am just trying to see if I can permission for someone else who suggested for your mod to be implemented into nsc.

Agreed. This was the best bio-organic ships avaliable. There are others, but the are not as good as this one was.

will forever be sad this mod died to computer failure its literally the only organic ship set that didnt just recolour prethoryn more then that this is the ONLY mod with organic megastructure skins period.

In case anybody wants to know, the mod works fine as of 3.6, with the new addition of the Frigate even having Its' own unique model that was previously used for the missile corvette

Forks are done all the time, so the question is why hasn't anyone done one for this? The protoss ship mod seems to have a new modder fork it for every new version, so there is the will to make these forks out there. So i guess they don't have access to the files? Even though you can still download this mod.

Don't really see why this doesn't go the Kurogane, Strega, tall white (sometimes) route and just get a fork. This was the only bioship mod. I bet someone else with these files and the project ark ones could make a fork, with nsc.

Even the most updated eve ship set is a new fork and there's been quite a few forks of that one over time.

this is a massive tradgedy man this was the one bio ship set that actually altered megastructres but cant change the past and hope for better luck in your future

Hi Everyone! Unfortunately I have some bad news as my SSD basically died and I lost all the files relating to this mod (The Blender files). Therefore, I will be keeping this mod hidden for now so I can decide If I want to start over with this mod or try salvage what I can.

Feel free to make your own copies of this mod but for now the official support for this mod is on limbo.

shouldve left the juggernaut for the terra mammalian ships alone the juggernaut bash for it looks terrible like someone welded on ships and crushed it into a ball the rest look sick

Do the Habitats have a different look or a look at all? I'm asking because one of the mods that adds the Fallen Empire ship sets have a problem were the habitats have a buggy look
