I know about the issue with the usable platform length. When I developed the overpasses, the platform length feature was not yet implemented in the game, so I noticed it after the game was updated with this feature and not already during testing of the mod. To fix it, I would have to change the lanes for the passengers. However, this is now very difficult, because I want to avoid passengers standing inside of the stairs or visibly inside of each other. Otherwise I would have fixed it already.
1) Lagging is unfortunately a general problem of modular constructions with many modules. The script is still using the basic vanilla station, so I do not really have influence on the performance of that.
2+3) I am also not sure why this is happening, because the collider boxes in my modules are small enough to not interfere with additional tracks. It seems like the game is doing a more rough calculation of the colliders during construction of new modules. However, you can avoid this issue by using track modules for the pass-through tracks.
4) I have it on my list of ideas, but currently I am working on another project. So at the moment I can't tell if I will build it or not.
1] so much lag - building/deleting;
2] when I use non station track in the centre [to allow trains from the middle line to access platform half way down, I cannot build stairs with lifts where these tracks are, causes a 'collision' so have to delete the track, build the stairs/lifts and then put back the track.
3] Similar problem with 2], when a station track is the outside part of the station, one cannot add an 'exit' stairs/lifts and have to delete the non station tracks.
Why is this?
4] Also are you going to do a covered stairs over track version [as the platform canopy does not cover it [just to make it look better in the centre of the station.
Thanks in advance.
@AverageEuropeanTramEnjoyer In this variant of the Mod I will not add variants of the platforms without lamps, because the lamps also act as pillars for signs, speakers, etc. I would screw up the script that places these things, if I would remove the lamps.
However, you can use the Motras variant of this mod, where you can place lamps as decoration modules where you need them or remove them seperately. You can use both mod variants in the same safegame, but remember to activate the Motras main mod.
Between 1924 and 1948 there is no underpass between the stations. The only underpasses they are availible are between the station and the street. But they are complete useless.
It is possible to define an additional capacity for certain modules (the vanilla station buildings use this option), but with the script structure that I use for this mod this also not easy to implement.
stairs = false,
name = "elevator_only",
Note that you will eventually not have an UI-picture for the new module and of course I have not tested if this is working as intended or has any other unwanted side effects.
How to use this? Add friends to explain OK?
(You can use both versions of this mod in the same safegame)
