She can put Astronomical Atlas in play and use Written in the Stars / Scroll of Secrets combos with cards like Leadership(2) and Copycat. (That's sorta what Lorelei was built for)
There's also really decent Dark Horse / Survivor-leaning builds with Psyche, Persephone, Berenice.
Bast was also clearly intended to enable Miss Doyle.
Safeguard (2) + Sigyn is also really fun. Those are a lot of the decks I like to play with her.
Now i even more hooked. She doesn't seem too strong as long as you not consiously striving for some crazy min-max strategies and just trying to roleplay flexible actress while covering for your teammates.
Once again, thank you for this project)
1. Is this Lola can use all her cards at any given time, or is she ony able to use cards from the class coressponding to her current active role?
2. How is you personal feel on her current "balance". Not seeking some illusory perfection, just geniunly curious.
Thank you for the kind words for the artifact deck/investigators :D I admit the artifact deck aren't necessarily the most balanced, but I am glad that I can reach a certain demographic of players who do enjoy the flavor and fun of them! Cheers.
A couple clarification questions:
1. Kitsune says "Reduce the resource cost of fast cards and item assets by 1." Does this apply for everyone at the table? The way I read it, it does, since unlike most other role cards, it doesn't say anything like "you play", and a lot of Lola's roles are fairly supporty (and you seem to have careful wording in the other cards).
2. Psyche says "or vice versa". This made me wonder how its meant to work, since you need to exhaust Psyche to move resources TO it. After which you cannot exhaust it to move resources FROM it. And resources on it would be discarded at the beginning of the next investigator phase when Psyche leaves play (even if you happen to immediately draw and choose it again), right?
PS: We also loved playing with your artifact deck and investigators on our previous campaign!
Lola's forced ability does not imply she can have multiple roles. Each turn, her role is randomized. You shuffle back the current role, and then choose 1 from 2 that you randomly draw. That is what the forced ability is doing.
I have one query however. Lola's forced ability. It's neither fast nor reactive, and it forces you to 'play' a card at the start of your turn. None of the role cards have 'ignores attacks of opportunity on it' Does this mean then, that the forced ability will cause you to be attacked by enemies engaged to you at the start of your turn?
Surely this will diminish any kind of fighters/tank builds for Lola.
Something to make a note of, Lola no matter what feels like she can't leave the Survivor suite of support cards. Even though she's a Neutral investigator, historically she has largely relied on Survivor cards to make up for middling statline. I think that no matter what you do with her, you may need to bring fail mitigation/manipulation.
But after playing two games with LOLA, she is a bit weaker than other investigators(three weaknesses "cassilda and 2 copies of crisis of idenrity").
Maybe only one of them(cassilda or 2 copies of crisis of idenrity) will be better.
