This mod is amazing, every attack is such a great Undertale reference!

One small suggestion: Frisk feels a bit limited in close-range combat. Maybe the four items currently used with Down Attack could be adjusted to give her stronger melee options- like Stick for fast short attacks, Plastic Knife for dash stab, Flowey for long-range (like now), and maybe a small Heal.

It would make Frisk more versatile while staying true to Undertale. But of course, you're the creator-you can do whatever you want, it would just be a nice addition. Thanks for your awesome work, this mod really brings Undertale to life in Rivals of Aether!

I'm having a problem. No matter what item I choose, it always acts like I chose the Faded Ribbon, even if I clearly have another item selected.

If Frisk ever gets runes, I have an idea for one: You get the old Ghost Sandwich effect & the sandwich replenishes every time you beat the boss.

@Your Kangaroo Wife: I don't know what it does to the air dodge but it gives you Absa jump, which is similar to Yoshi's flutter jump in Smash.

I see that ghost sandwich was changed, but what exactly does it do? I tested it and I don't see much of a difference if at all to the normal air dodge, so what changes when you use it?

Quick update for anyone else having this problem: Items appear bound to the four face buttons of the controller despite the menu. Different face buttons are for different items. Clunky but it works.

I have no clue why, as I tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the mod and the game, but whenever I select an item as Frisk it always just applies the effect of the drink item (15 sec speed boost).
I'm wondering if there is a known fix for this that I'm missing?

Legitimately one of the best workshop items I've seen in any game. So true to the original and fun to play!

Hmm i haven't updated Frisk's costumes in a while

I've seen some confusion about the Inventory menu, and I honestly can't tell if this is intentional with how long it's been this way + being janky, but

All items will give you their intended buff, only if you use Attack to select them. No matter what item you highlight, though,
pressing Special will give you the Ribbon Defense buff,
pressing Jump will give you the Tea speed boost, and
pressing Shield will give you the Ghost Sandwich Invincibility.
This means pressing Attack on the first Hero item is the only way to get the Attack buff to activate, but the buff you choose with buttons still uses up the intended corresponding item. Down+Special is the only way I know to close the menu besides getting hit.

It's not the worst, but I personally think requiring selection of the item, and then making it use the proper buff no matter what would be ideal. I'd also like to see Attack and Special select your item, with Jump and Shield closing the menu, as most Chargeable and Menu moves work, but oh well.

Also am I going crazy or did the costumes get changed fairly recently? 'Could have sworn there was a brown here I was using qwq

I feel like I'm supposed to be able to close the menu after using an item & also like the menu is supposed to close automatically after I use an item because I feel like it's always been that way but both of those things stopped being the case earlier today & now I can barely do anything because the only way the menu closes is if I get hit.

Even turning the game off doesn't fix it.

I would really like to see Xtale chara and glitchtale chara as a character in Rivals of Aether.

I feel like this is a very good character only 2 problems with one move their side special is too fast to dodge ( unless you can predict it ) and you can use and move afterwards so you can do something like Forward special forward strong and it's impossible to avoid. Also not that I would rather this character not be made so that these other characters could but undertale AU characters should be made since you got glitchtale chara Xtale sans Bete Noire Xtale chara Asriel ( already made but its not the best ) and all these characters have a move set I feel liek the AU's should get more love and there should be a little less original characters.
