@The 7th Walnut
Thanks for letting me know. I've tried a new Model and updated the Mod. Hopefully it'll work this time.
Flounder  [author] Oct 8, 2022 @ 7:45pm
@Lumières That's exactly the advice I needed! Turning off the caching let me see the problem. It looks like it was just the box (and therefore the manuals inside it). In any case, from what I can see, it's all loading now. If you don't mind, take a look and let me know.
Lumières Oct 4, 2022 @ 2:01pm
@Flounder Can you try to reload the mod with mod caching off? Or perhaps removing the local files from the related folders so that your client attempts to download the files from the server? If this does not work I'd be more than happy to provide all the broken links. I really want to try out the mod you've created for this beautiful looking game.
Flounder  [author] Sep 19, 2022 @ 10:42am
@Lumieres Unfortunately, the link Cundav posted doesn't help me track down any missing images. I don't see any broken images when I load it, not even when using a different computer in the past. If you can let me know a specific image or deck, I'll just upload it again. Otherwise I'd have to resubmit every single image in the hopes it would help.
Lumières Sep 17, 2022 @ 4:22am
Same problem with Cundav. A few image links are broken. Is there any chance you can fix them, I really want to play this game. @Flounder

Hey! We've taken your mod to translate the game to rus.
I hope you don't mind

One model doesn't load properly, but I played it anyway without problems. Thanks!
Gray Pockets Jan 19, 2022 @ 12:38am
I have same problem as Cundav with the file not loading.
Miffy_2o Jan 3, 2022 @ 3:09am
Just tried loading up and looks like a few image links are not working, fairchild cards looks to be one of the links that are not working?
WizardOfWit Dec 30, 2021 @ 12:45pm
I've been loving Obession IRL, but it's awesome I can now play it with friends around the country. Thank you!
Flounder  [author] Nov 19, 2021 @ 11:43am
@TheClutchisnotreal Opening it up, nothing is down that I can see. Which links aren't working?
Clutch Nov 19, 2021 @ 3:54am
Hii it seems that some of the links seems to be down. Is it possible to reupload them again as this is the only obsession mod and i would love to try this game
Flounder  [author] May 22, 2021 @ 10:03pm
@Licaek That exactly why I made it too. Have fun!
Licaek May 22, 2021 @ 2:55pm
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I love this game and I've been looking to share it with friends who live far away, and now you've given me a way to do so! Thank you :D!
Flounder  [author] May 12, 2021 @ 12:58pm
@thegoodsons Great idea and I looked at doing that. From the template I used as a guideline, it'd take more time than it's worth for me. If someone wants to make an editable scorecard, I'd be very happy to add it in!
thegoodsons May 12, 2021 @ 1:40am
Does anyone know how to make the scorecard editable with separate cells for each category and subtotals calculated?
paulyd83 Apr 20, 2021 @ 11:34pm
I was always turned off by the theme of this one, but now that I found it here on TTS, I might as well give it a shot to see if I like the mechanics and if that's enough for me to overlook the theme.
UltraVioletta Apr 6, 2021 @ 6:39pm
OMG, if you didn't do this, I was going to since I <3 this game. Thank you so much~!
Dalek Mar 31, 2021 @ 7:44am
Thanks!
Flounder  [author] Mar 30, 2021 @ 9:12pm
Added new solo opponents for the Upstairs, Downstairs expansion.
deathstroke1975 Feb 14, 2021 @ 10:07am
Thanks for the answers! I will certainly use lock more often, now that I know!
Flounder  [author] Feb 13, 2021 @ 12:29pm
@deathstroke1975 "L" is absolutely the best way. It locks/unlocks things on the board. I highly recommend locking anything down you don't want to move, like family boards once you've picked.

Also, make sure you shuffle the card decks and the tile bag before a play. The easiest way is to use the "R" key. It's easy to see with card decks when you shuffle, but you just have to listen for the sound when using the tile bag. I usually ctrl click on a locked item to highlight it before pressing "R."
Dalek Feb 13, 2021 @ 8:47am
The quickest way, mouse over the item you want to unlock and press the letter L to toggle that state, you can also access that with a right mouse click (from memory I think that is under a submenu toggles or something like that)
deathstroke1975 Feb 13, 2021 @ 5:53am
Is there a way to unanchor components of the game? There is a bag with all the tiles (including the expansions) near the main board that I would like to move when playing the base game. My knowledge of TTS is very, very limited, FYI.
Flounder  [author] Feb 1, 2021 @ 12:46pm
@Hunter Wolf Yeah, if you didn't grab it during the KS, it's much harder to get a hold of.
Hunter Wolf Jan 31, 2021 @ 7:21am
Oh wow been dying for this game to be on TTS with it being limited print and all hard to buy it
Flounder  [author] Jan 22, 2021 @ 10:45pm
@Max Planck Ok, so I've kept everything mixed on the main board, but added components in separate bags as well for anyone who wants to set up a different way. It won't help clarify things for anyone counting tiles, but hopefully it'll be easy enough for those who only want to play the base game.

If you have time, take a look and let me know if it seems clear enough to someone who is learning the game.
Max Planck Jan 22, 2021 @ 2:44pm
Thanks for your detailed reply! I think I understand your explanation, and I can see how separating them may not be as simple as it sounds (ironically, that was why I posted in the first place).

As to the "why", it's simply a matter of trying to learn the game at a more comfortable pace. While the solutions you offered may seem simple from the perspective of someone very familiar with the game, I was not aware what needed to stay and what needed to go.

Perhaps a temporary solution would be to include a short description, like the one you gave me) of how to remove the strictly expansion content on a not card in the mod or something.
Flounder  [author] Jan 22, 2021 @ 9:15am
As for the "renovated kitchen" tile, yes I used the same picture for the front and back. There was unfortunately a misprint which showed a victory point score of zero on the side with the TSN, so I just used the correct side for both. It does create a problem in knowing where to sort the tile though (or pull it out as an expansion tile). I'll take another pic and just edit the victory points instead.
Flounder  [author] Jan 22, 2021 @ 9:15am
There are two tiles (3 physical tiles) that are directly affected by the new servants, the "Renovated Kitchen" and the "Housekeeper's Room," that should be removed if you aren't playing with the expansion. To me personally, it seems silly to have an extra bag of expansion tiles with just 3 tiles as even more people will be confused. Instead, I think it's better to just leave it all in and people can discard tiles that reference the new servants if they draw them. These tiles and the "Howard" family board are the only things I've incorporated that aren't meant to be used when playing without the expansion. Do you think a note saying not to use these specific things if you just want the base game help?

If I get enough comments otherwise, I can make extra bags to sort things out, but right now I prefer to follow Dan Hallagan's (the designer) advice on how to sort the components.
Flounder  [author] Jan 22, 2021 @ 9:15am
@Max Planck TLDR: Yes, there are unmarked tiles.

Several people have asked to separate the base game from the expansions, but it's not so simple to me.

The Upstairs, Downstairs expansion also allows 5 or 6 player games. To do this, second copies of high prestige tiles were added to the game without the "U" marking because they are meant to be incorporated. I could pull those out for just a base game experience, but the designers means for them to always be incorporated.

I can easily pull out the tiles marked with a "U" or "W" to remove the other expansion tiles, but I'd ask why? They really don't change the way the game plays. Instead, they just provide more tile variety. Again, the designer means for them to always be incorporated.
Max Planck Jan 21, 2021 @ 5:48pm
I realized one small thing leading to part of my confusion. The "renovated kitchen" tile, which is from the U/D expansion, is supposed to have two different sides, but the side without the TSN (and, therefore, the "U" marking that it's from the expansion) is instead duplicated on both sides. Doesn't solve all my confusion, but that's one small mistake I found.
Max Planck Jan 21, 2021 @ 5:09pm
Very nice implementation! Not to continue harping on the tiles issue, but I'm a bit confused approaching the game for the first time. I understand the expansion(s) alter the tile bag a bit, but in trying to take them out and strip back to the core game I'm having a bit of trouble as I am not sure what I'm missing.

I currently count 72 tiles beginning in the tile bag, and when I remove the expansion tiles I have 61 left. Adding in the 6 monument tiles from the base game that comes to 67. Adding in the 20 tiles from the base family bags that is 87. The components list in the core rulebook is only listing 80 tiles, so I'm a bit confused about what else needs to be removed to play a game without the expansions.

Also, when I remove all of the tiles marked with "U" from the U/D expansion, I find a total of 7 in the bag, while the U/D rulebook states it contains 32. Are they not all marked?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Dalek Jan 19, 2021 @ 7:09am
Thank you Flounder! I'll check this soon :)
Ewokalypse Jan 18, 2021 @ 8:20pm
Thanks! Played again over the weekend; great implementation of the game.
Flounder  [author] Jan 18, 2021 @ 4:24pm
@Dalek @Ewokalypse Ok, the glossary is added. It's in a box at the top along with the other rules. Hopefully people will look know where to look for the instructions.
Ewokalypse Jan 13, 2021 @ 8:25pm
I think it's unfortunately necessary because of the designer's decision to split useful ruletext between the glossary and the manual, although I recognize your concern. I think the last guy's suggestion to group the references (or even whole expansions?) into bags is a good one.
Dalek Jan 13, 2021 @ 4:15pm
@flouden You can always add a bag and put all the rules/references there and people take those as they need it.
Flounder  [author] Jan 13, 2021 @ 8:28am
@Ewokalypse The glossary is not included, though easy to add. I hesitate though because the table already looks pretty crowded.
Ewokalypse Jan 12, 2021 @ 8:33pm
This is a great implementation; excellent work. Is the glossary included? I didn't see it, but I might have deleted it by accident or something.
fredzgreen Jan 12, 2021 @ 6:57am
thanks for this - I have been missing this on TTS.
sg000 Dec 23, 2020 @ 10:58am
@flounder @elizabeth I do believe there are 1 or 2 additional cards in the U/D that dealt with the U/D servants. But easy to take out/redraw if you get one I suppose. Personally, I would prefer if the U/D content was on the side. I've done a bunch of solo with and without and it becomes a different game with the U/D materials I now wouldn't push on anyone until their 4th or 5th game unless everyone is new.
Elizabeth Dec 22, 2020 @ 8:50pm
@Flounder - Great! I couldn't remember if there were any changes to the VP cards.
Flounder  [author] Dec 22, 2020 @ 7:28pm
@Elizabeth I've added the non-U/D objectives, but the VP cards are the same. Dan simply provided two sizes from what I remember.
Elizabeth Dec 18, 2020 @ 3:02pm
@Flounder I asked over on BGG, but I'll ask here, too - is there any way you could add the non-U/D objectives and VP cards? I'd like to teach this to my friends on TTS, but I think teaching it with U/D included is kind of a heavy lift.
Bojan Dec 17, 2020 @ 10:45am
I need to buy this game ASAP!
Flounder  [author] Dec 16, 2020 @ 11:17am
Dan Hallagan, the designer, is hoping to have it available in Europe next month, so keep your eyes open if you're still interested then.
