@daratumaGEN You should turn the Imperator Unit Pack off, as I advised in the changelog. And yes, some of the changes are subjective.
daratumaGEN Sep 16 @ 8:13am
Hold on, this applies to a number of other nations as well, old unit packs replacing newer ones. I guess this is a mod based much more on subjective design choice.
daratumaGEN Sep 16 @ 8:10am
Why is the Imperator unit pack used for Trebizond when Trebizond has updated unit graphics from the last(?) DLC?
VityViktor  [author] Sep 8 @ 4:14am
Updated, probably for the last time (EU5 here we go). Let me know if there are issues or some suggestions I could implement until then!

Hi, @VityViktor
Thanks for you mod! I really can't play without it tbh! I have one very small question though, cause I really like the (Mare Nostrum) Venetian and Neapolitan (Tier 1) unit models. So, Is it possible to revert the latest Italian changes without breaking other things? Cheers!
mysuzibike Nov 28, 2023 @ 8:38am
Hi, I tried to give the ottomans for different unit skins, like TUR 1, TIM 2 and for 3 and 4 TRE. But I failed. How did u do it? Btw thank you for your mod! Ottomans looked horrible
deserk Nov 9, 2023 @ 11:22am
Yeah I've seen that too, and tried changing it manually myself to no avail. But the peasant GFX remains even if you change government type.
VityViktor  [author] Nov 9, 2023 @ 5:31am
@deserk BTW I just noticed that Walloon/Liege GFX (can't remember the DLC right now) are supposed to apply to Frisians aswell, but due to the fact that the two Frisian tags at the game start (Friesland and East Frisia) are Peasant Republics, Dithsmarschen's Peasant models override them, so they don't show as such.
VityViktor  [author] Nov 9, 2023 @ 12:27am
@deserk Yeah, could be done. East Frisia would probably still use the peasant unit models because they're a Peasant Republic, but these two culture could have Holstein's pack as default.
deserk Nov 8, 2023 @ 1:39pm
Any chance you could also spread around the pretty cool Holstein unit GFXs? Maybe to fellow Low Saxon tags (maybe to Frisian too, the Dithmarschen peasant GFX by default for all Frisian tags looks pretty terrible)
deserk Nov 6, 2023 @ 10:28am
Nice work. Great idea with switching around the Italian units, they look much better now.

Updated. Check out the changelog for more details. Feel free to comment your opinions and suggestions.

Now that King of Kings DLC is coming, know that the mod will be updated as soon as I can. Maybe not the same day, but or a day or two later. I'm thinking a lot of possibilities, some of them would probably be:

-Trebizond (KoK) units for Byzantium (displacing Imperator and old Byz ones) or either making a new combined pack for Byzantium.
-A mix of Ottoman (Great Powers) and Karaman (KoK) units for the Ottomans.
-Syria (KoK) for Mamluks or either making them a new Muslim generic.
-Tlemcen (KoK) and Salé (GC) covering most of Maghrebi cultures, displacing the old (and ugly) models from Mare Nostrum.
-Maybe some minor things from Domination DLC packs.

Feel free to post any suggestions you have.
MegaHarald Sep 28, 2023 @ 6:35pm
@VityViktor standard paradox pandering rather than focusing on history, same reason they put ottomans in the arabic culture group, units look pretty cool though

EVEYONE SHUT UP AND ENJOY THE MOD
VityViktor  [author] Sep 28, 2023 @ 2:22am
Paradox released a free unit pack for owners of their Imperator: Rome game. This pack applies to Byzantium and the ahistorical Roman Empire tag even in vanilla (you can see them in the screenshots from the upcoming expansion). But if you turn it off, Byzantium would return to their original pack from Purple Phoenix.
MegaHarald Sep 27, 2023 @ 11:05pm
@VityViktor why yes, that's a traditional greek style of clothing, something the ottomans was heavily influenced by, which is why I don't get the whining over the byzantine models to begin with. What is this imperator pack?
VityViktor  [author] Sep 27, 2023 @ 3:15pm
I decided that Byzantium would use the Imperator pack because it adds visual variety (more models used). If you have the Imperator pack, but you don't like them, you can always turn it off in the launcher, and the next models in the order (not sure if Theodoro or Byzantine packs) will show up and be used by Byzantium.

I actually prefer the Byzantium pack for Greece because their late game models (Greece usually shows up in the late game, if so) look like historical Greek revolutionaries from the independence war.
MegaHarald Sep 27, 2023 @ 1:15pm
but why does greece get the eastern looking models while byzantium, who was the more eastern of the two, gets models that look north italian? Greece should have the westernized models...
MegaHarald Sep 27, 2023 @ 1:13pm
@VityViktor those are new models for byzantium? looks like the whitenats got what they wanted
VityViktor  [author] Sep 27, 2023 @ 5:00am
@BrajBertilTR There's no revisionism. Byzantine units already use Imperator Pack in vanilla (if owned). They're more recent and have a better quality, and they also allow more variety (allowing Greece to use the Old Byzantine pack). If PDX releases some kind of new Byzantine unit pack (maybe in the next DLC) it would probably replace Imperator Pack in the mod.
MegaHarald Sep 26, 2023 @ 6:18pm
turkish ones look good, but why the weird revisionism of the byzantines being some sort of western state?
Yiannaros Sep 2, 2023 @ 7:49am
Greece is poor byzantium
John™ May 5, 2023 @ 6:50pm
To get that pack, all you need to do is just buy Imperator Rome
VityViktor  [author] Apr 24, 2023 @ 3:59am
Byzantium and Trebizond using it*** (my bad)
VityViktor  [author] Apr 24, 2023 @ 3:57am
@Richard the lionheart That's... pretty shameful, actually. They could simply release it for free, I don't know what's the problem with that... Anyway, in the next update I'll probably rank up Theodoro's unit pack so non-owners of Imperator Pack could have Byzantium and Theodoro using it.
Richard the lionheart Apr 24, 2023 @ 3:50am
i do have it and i have been looking at how to get that dlc and it seems to be impossible now
VityViktor  [author] Apr 24, 2023 @ 3:19am
@Richard the lionheart I think you need to buy Imperator: Rome for that.
Richard the lionheart Apr 24, 2023 @ 3:16am
how can i get Imperator Unit Pack
VityViktor  [author] Apr 21, 2023 @ 8:37am
Updated! Check the patch notes to see most of the changes.
Noah Mar 12, 2023 @ 4:37am
Never expected this to be updated. Thanks!
VityViktor  [author] Mar 11, 2023 @ 4:59am
Updated!
VityViktor  [author] Mar 9, 2023 @ 11:03am
Hi everyone, the mod would probably be updated soon, supporting the latest DLCs. There would be some changes, however, considering how vanilla EU4 now uses the DLC unit models more extensively, based on cultures and groups.
Mumion der Unsterbliche Sep 24, 2022 @ 12:12am
Update ?
raskolhnikov Nov 14, 2021 @ 11:36am
can you add units to Dithmarchen, please? Great mod!
VityViktor  [author] Nov 11, 2021 @ 4:20am
In any case, I think I'll wait for a couple of hotfix updates to be released. They tend to slightly expand new gfx models lately.
VityViktor  [author] Nov 11, 2021 @ 4:16am
Hi everyone. I'm thinking about updating this mod and make it use the new DLCs, especially the new South East Asian and African models. It would probably take some time, though.
BigColliber Aug 13, 2021 @ 11:02am
Could you also give Mongol Empire mongol sprites?
Art165 Jun 28, 2021 @ 2:47pm
Is it possible to add austrian sprites to Holy roman empire as nation? Thank you in advance for your answer.
VityViktor  [author] Apr 28, 2021 @ 11:41am
In any case, it seems that they actually implemented some of the things this mod included, lol. Like Leinster T1 unit model for Gaeldom and The Isles, or Old Byzantine models for Greece.
VityViktor  [author] Apr 28, 2021 @ 9:46am
It seems that they updated the game, including a lot of changes to gfx and unit models. Currently I don't have the DLC and neither have EU4 installed, so if you could check if the mod is working again I'll be grateful.
Rodzyniasty Apr 28, 2021 @ 3:53am
Yeah, this update ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up a lot of things. Thanks to your mod I started assigning unit models based on culture and culture groups (it works perfectly in ET) akin to Ck3 system and had tons of fun with that. But right now setting even just one culture group to a certain model causes that model to display for all generic models, irrespective of the tech group.
VityViktor  [author] Apr 27, 2021 @ 9:19am
@Rodzyniásty Oh god. Considering the state of EU4 after this "update" I'll probably wait a few patches until everything is settled, and then I'll update the mod. If not, roll back to the previous version. I'm sorry.
Rodzyniasty Apr 27, 2021 @ 9:13am
Just a heads-up, new update completely screwed this mod up. Almost all units are displaying as bosnian unit models.
Bucellarius94 Apr 13, 2021 @ 4:37am
Update pls
VityViktor  [author] Mar 3, 2021 @ 8:03am
@shiggles91 I don't play Extended Timeline Mod, so I don't know if it would be fully compatible.

@Spandaman Good idea. Maybe I'll do something with Burgundy in a future update!
Spandaman Mar 3, 2021 @ 6:30am
Hi ! @VityViktor great work for a great mod ! I just wonder if it would be possible to change T2 and T3 units for burgundy ? I cannot find any other working mod for Burgundy
rentabro Mar 1, 2021 @ 11:42pm
Quick question! Is this compatible with Extended Timeline Mod? Ming's releasable nations all look like generic Western European glaive bois. If not, totally understandable. The Southeast Asian nations look much better (Ayuthaya got their unique units swapped out unfortunately)
