Better than Post Finem, atleast historically logical.
nissin  [author] Nov 27, 2021 @ 6:41am
@Chain if i ever update Mare Punicum it's gonna be kind of a whole other overhaul, but considering how little i've been playing EU4 since 1.31 it'll probably not happen. still, i'm glad people like this! it was a very fun project to work on, and Carthage is a really interesting and cool republic that i wish wasnt so overshadowed relative to their latin cousins across the pond
Chain Nov 24, 2021 @ 3:16pm
Hate to be this person, but I would love to see an update! This mod is so cool and I would really enjoy a modern version again

The Christian in me is happy to see a more powerful Christendom, the Italian in me is the red/pink blood crying wojak.

@Asderei well historically even though they got pummeled sometimes they eventually kinda won out (Normans were more French than viking really) but stuff like the Danelaw never lasted.
Asderei Feb 10, 2021 @ 1:34am
Very cool. However i do believe that the tribal kingdoms of britain would stand no chance against the vikings
nissin  [author] Jan 29, 2021 @ 6:15pm
@harpalon neat, sorry for not localizing anything lmao
Harpalon Jan 29, 2021 @ 6:11pm
@nissin Thanks bro. That was the problem. I changed the language to english and now it works fine!
nissin  [author] Jan 29, 2021 @ 4:58pm
@Harpalon are you playing in english? localization is language-specific, and i haven't added any non english localization
Harpalon Jan 29, 2021 @ 4:49pm
Nice mod. Would you help me with an issue? Instead of the country's name appearing on the map, the tag is appearing. I have no other mods enable. How can I fix this?
Admiral Boysen Jan 12, 2021 @ 10:42am
Shouldn't Egypt be Coptic, religion-wise?
nissin  [author] Dec 9, 2020 @ 9:49am
@mighelW97 i know, the flavour is absolutely not finished. I'm only really updating it when 1.31 comes out, though
MiguelW97 Dec 7, 2020 @ 2:21pm
Nice Idea, but the Mission Trees are really boring :/

Ro Nov 18, 2020 @ 10:42am
Awesome thanks for the quick fix!
nissin  [author] Nov 18, 2020 @ 9:08am
@ro fixed
nissin  [author] Nov 18, 2020 @ 9:04am
@ro thats me putting the wrong value in, its supposed to be 1,5%
Ro Nov 18, 2020 @ 8:56am
The bonuses for the Found the University of Saint Tanit is insane. Most national ideas boost missionary strength by 3% at most, so 15% is extremely unbalanced, especially in combination with the other bonuses.
nissin  [author] Nov 15, 2020 @ 6:44pm
@aeterni no
Madame Aeterna Nov 15, 2020 @ 2:48pm
Is there a discord for this mod?
nissin  [author] Nov 12, 2020 @ 5:47pm
@twisterX i dont know, never tested it. if it works, let me know

for starting nations, playing carthage in MP is kind of like playing ottos in MP, and by that i mean a dick move. i think Greece, Egypt and Mauretania are all solid choices, just for their missions & starting dev. oh, and if anyone plays numidia, PLEASE send a screenshot of how their game ended up, either here or @nissrpska on twitter.
TwisterX Nov 12, 2020 @ 3:43pm
Hey man, is this mod MP proof for about 15 people? Any recommendations on starting nation, increased stability or something else?
Anthony Penisini Nov 12, 2020 @ 2:05pm
ah I see, that's actually pretty cool.
nissin  [author] Nov 12, 2020 @ 12:42pm
@bert e. sander its on purpose, Gallia Transalpina is inside the Alps for the actual gauls, and Cisalpina is on the outside. its supposed to be named after the gaelic perspective
nissin  [author] Nov 12, 2020 @ 12:41pm
@mordon yeah i dont know what's causing that nor how to fix it, sorry
Anthony Penisini Nov 12, 2020 @ 10:06am
the terms "cisalpine gaul" and "transalpine gaul" should be switched for both the name of the regions and cultures. lots of fun tho, looking forward to the development of this mod
Mordon Nov 12, 2020 @ 9:08am
@nissin it downloads like 3.7 mb
nissin  [author] Nov 12, 2020 @ 8:35am

nissin  [author] Nov 12, 2020 @ 8:34am
@cutthebull weird. who're you plaing as?
Spaceracer Nov 12, 2020 @ 4:01am
@Mordon I believe unsubscribing and resubscribing fixes this.
Cutthebull Nov 11, 2020 @ 11:51am
When ever i take napalat, it flips it back to carthage
Mordon Nov 11, 2020 @ 8:49am
i dont know why, i subbded your mod but i wont download
nissin  [author] Nov 10, 2020 @ 6:24pm
@cyberspacer ay thanks!
nissin  [author] Nov 10, 2020 @ 6:24pm
@nante yes, but only after 1.31 rolls around so i don't have to re-learn how to mod natives

and both of those were founded by lost settlers, which is why they're not known by their respective metropolises
Cyberspacer Nov 10, 2020 @ 3:02pm
been playing as Carthage, been fun so far for whats in this atm!
Nante Nov 10, 2020 @ 1:34pm
What's the deal with the Caananite and Norse religions and their respective cultures in the new world? Are there gonna be new nations there?
Basalt Department Nov 10, 2020 @ 3:46am
8. Bosporia should be a Greek-Slavic state, as the local Sarmatians would have been slavicized like otl, and would be our equivalent of Novgorod, ie a state ruled by foreigners which unites the Slavs and converts them to Orthodoxy. Maybe there could be a power struggle between a Nordic Novgorod and a Greek Bosporia. Or maybe the Sarmatians survive due to stronger opposition to slavic expansion elsewhere and own Southern Russia, while Slavs the Central-Northern part.
9. Bulgarians stay in the Urals or become Dacian confederatii like the Magyars. But considering there would be a limited Slavic expansion, they would still be Uralic ( maybe Magyar-Bulgarian culture group to oppose the Dacians?).
10) Southern Slavs wouldn't exist. With Dacia on the East, Illyricum on the West, Germans in the North and Greeks in the South they wouldn't find any unpopulated land to settle, and at most they would Illyrian confederatii.
Basalt Department Nov 10, 2020 @ 3:37am
4. With no Roman enemy to weaken them, Persia wouldn't fall to the Arabs, but would probably become an highly decentralized empire, so I propose a Persian state with big vassals in the East.
5. Turks wouldn't be in the Middle East, due to being stopped by a strong Persia, they would have stayed in the steppes. Instead there should be an Assyrian or Aramaic state (or States) owing the land between Persia ( ie Baghdad) and Phoenicia. Northern Mesopotamia, between Armenia and Cilicia, would be Armenian, together. Georgia would be united ( or not) but I doubt they'd have an Armenian dinasty in charge. Nonetheless a mission the PU one another would be interesting.
6. Arabs, stopped by Persia, Greeks, Phenicians or Assyrians stay in Arabia, together with Islam.
7. Useless to say, but there wouldn't be any Islam or India, or the rest of Asia, except maybe for a merchant kingdom which could have converted.
Basalt Department Nov 10, 2020 @ 3:11am
Good mod, but the map could be better:
1) After the eastern invasion, the Germanics would have organized in a league to defend themselves, effectively creating the HRE. Also they should own everything up to the Vistula, but not south of the Danube or Switzerland. They would not retreat from their eastern territories because, considering there is no falling Roman empire to house them and they can just stay and defend their homes.
2) The Slavs should own less territories. They settled the land that Germanics abandoned, so their borders would be the Vistula and Dniester on the West.
3) Romania should be Dacia. The Dacians were the only barbarians with a unified state, so they would stop slavic incursions on the Dneister and Magyar ones too (the only way I see for Hungary to exist is if they were used as some sort of Dacian confederatii to hold the eastern borders against the Slavs or Germanics.

@Pirosmani99 if i change anything in the Catholic faith it'll probably be WAY later in development. i'm still working on basic flavour, missions & stuff. trinitarian will just be orthodox with different icons, but Caananite pagan will have flavour
Pirosmani99 Nov 9, 2020 @ 12:32pm
If the trinity is a heretical doctrine in this timeline then what do the RCC believe and will you change catholicism's features to reflect this in some way? And what features will the trinitarian church have, it would most likely be similar to vanilla orthodoxy i guess?
Spaceracer Nov 9, 2020 @ 6:03am
I reeeally like @Great Lord of Darkness Magnus' series of recommendations. I recommend them as well.

nissin  [author] Nov 8, 2020 @ 12:18pm
@RomanRabbit yeah those were supposed to be -5% dev cost and 5% discipline, i messed up the values in the ideas file. thank you though!
nissin  [author] Nov 8, 2020 @ 12:17pm
@whenthe no, maybe in the future
nissin  [author] Nov 8, 2020 @ 12:16pm
@Julian5433 thank you! i'm right now working on trinitarianism, but it won't have its unique feature. just different icons, like Saint Tanit and Yamesh.
