for starting nations, playing carthage in MP is kind of like playing ottos in MP, and by that i mean a dick move. i think Greece, Egypt and Mauretania are all solid choices, just for their missions & starting dev. oh, and if anyone plays numidia, PLEASE send a screenshot of how their game ended up, either here or @nissrpska on twitter.
and both of those were founded by lost settlers, which is why they're not known by their respective metropolises
9. Bulgarians stay in the Urals or become Dacian confederatii like the Magyars. But considering there would be a limited Slavic expansion, they would still be Uralic ( maybe Magyar-Bulgarian culture group to oppose the Dacians?).
10) Southern Slavs wouldn't exist. With Dacia on the East, Illyricum on the West, Germans in the North and Greeks in the South they wouldn't find any unpopulated land to settle, and at most they would Illyrian confederatii.
5. Turks wouldn't be in the Middle East, due to being stopped by a strong Persia, they would have stayed in the steppes. Instead there should be an Assyrian or Aramaic state (or States) owing the land between Persia ( ie Baghdad) and Phoenicia. Northern Mesopotamia, between Armenia and Cilicia, would be Armenian, together. Georgia would be united ( or not) but I doubt they'd have an Armenian dinasty in charge. Nonetheless a mission the PU one another would be interesting.
6. Arabs, stopped by Persia, Greeks, Phenicians or Assyrians stay in Arabia, together with Islam.
7. Useless to say, but there wouldn't be any Islam or India, or the rest of Asia, except maybe for a merchant kingdom which could have converted.
1) After the eastern invasion, the Germanics would have organized in a league to defend themselves, effectively creating the HRE. Also they should own everything up to the Vistula, but not south of the Danube or Switzerland. They would not retreat from their eastern territories because, considering there is no falling Roman empire to house them and they can just stay and defend their homes.
2) The Slavs should own less territories. They settled the land that Germanics abandoned, so their borders would be the Vistula and Dniester on the West.
3) Romania should be Dacia. The Dacians were the only barbarians with a unified state, so they would stop slavic incursions on the Dneister and Magyar ones too (the only way I see for Hungary to exist is if they were used as some sort of Dacian confederatii to hold the eastern borders against the Slavs or Germanics.
