If it is marked in red you have another addon conflicting with it disable the the conflicting addon and it will work
those are the default values
crosshair 1 Enable crosshair
cl_crosshair_alpha 255 Sets crosshair transparency (0-255; 255 = No Transparency)
cl_crosshair_red 138 Sets crosshair color (RGB) - Red value (0-255)
cl_crosshair_green 182 Sets crosshair color (RGB) - Green value (0-255)

I personally prefer the T crosshair, as I find it easier to align for headshots.
In addition, a gap option for the static crosshair would also be a welcome addition.
When I use the mod I can get to settings and use the keys but when pressing the key to supposedly exit it (which is 0) nothing happens and the menu doesn't close. While fiddling around I found that the key which made the menu "disappear" was 9. Still I think it needs a bit of touch up.
