How about:

+Can be pick back up if the victim is dead
+On miss: Return to thrower
-On hit: Stuck into enemy

Won't deal any damage and enemy steal your Reinsurance if the enemy also wearing this item.

This needs alittle better wood texturing in my oppinion, as for stats, here are mine.
Replaces SMG slot
On hit, does 70 hp damage and breaks. Have to wait for it to recharge.
If you miss, will return to thrower (unless it hits an object like a wall e.x)
