Great mod, but sadly makes soldier models flash, which is really irritating.

Can we have a version of this mod where paper mod replaces political map mode, but not the zoomed in graphics?

Hi, I'm moving house soon and I don't have my PC to update the mod, but I will update it over the next couple of weeks.

Thanks everyone for your feedback and your attempts to improve my mod. Rhazak, I tried adding your AI sharpened version of the map and while it looks better in Photoshop, once I mod it into the game, there's no noticeable difference between it and the vanilla map. I have experimented with a higher resolution version, but as you predicted, it broke the game. I'll try to find a solution for this but I'm not that hopeful.

Until then, I have two alternative versions of the mod. One uses the coloured terrain mode [ mods.paradoxplaza.com ] at closer zoom levels and the other uses the detailed terrain mode [ mods.paradoxplaza.com ]. You should find these nicer looking, at the cost of some performance.

A couple of people mentioned that there's no easy way to tell which holdings you own on the map. I'm going to work on this today and see what I can do. The other option is to use the paper icon in the top right to see all of your holdings or to look at them from the realm view.

You also cant see taxes, nameplates of baronies, levies and all on map information. Also you can't see your vassal inner colors, when you pick some of them (in vanilla it brake your realm to different vassal colors).

yeah, would be really useful to make your domain in any way visible/recognizable

Finallyyy

One thing is that you can't click on your realm to see your duchies, you'd have to manually click on the province and search around for your duchy leader

@Rhazak I'll message Astral about this

I ran it through Gigapixel AI with output to same size, it removes some blur makes it a bit sharper, but not by much. Here it is: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xlr7zs1icf8s300/flatmap.dds
The original image file is already at the correct size of 8192 x 4096, and I could upscale it to x2 but if you tried to use that I think it would break the game unless you changed a ton of other stuff, like provinces would be out of line etc?
Best would probably be to simply redraw all terrain features like forests/mountains/rivers in higher detail.

I wait eagerly to highest resolution version, right now it's pain to play unfortunetly...
