Now reading through the comments learned there is a 'pass cards' button. that's cool we've been betting that must of been built. Not sure if theres anything else we are missing.
Did you end up figuring out the sending cards to players?
Where is it supposed to be? Everything else so far seems to be coming to me slowly.
As for the Mausoleum (or any of the other cards you can build from the discard pile as there's a few in expansions also.) Just right click and search on the discard pile and search through that way. Drag a card out place it on your board then play it as if you'd paid for it.
I've got no plans for the fan expansions as honestly I know very little about them. I have a few alternate art promo cards and the metal coins to scan in, and i have a few plans for improving it slightly but no estimate as to when that kind of stuff will make it in there.
we really appreciate your work on this mod. It is one of the i have encountered so far.
And for more fun, would it be possible to add the Fan Collection with many new Wonders and/or Expansions, like Ruins, Frontiers or Sailors?
Great game: liked, awarded, favorited and all that.
See the below comment to Evilmanta in regards to how to do setup. There's no automatic scoring unfortunately. I've implemented it in a bunch of my mods but not this one, at least not yet anyway!
To Play a card you place it on your wonder board, then hit ready. Once everyone's ready, you all reveal, then press the appropriate colour on the board to place it under your board in the right place.
Then, whoever has the drafting control panel can press draft and the cards will go to the next person.
It's a little confusing with how to get the game started. We assumed something would automatically happen when everyone hit ready, but after reading all the comments it seems like you have to manually deal all the cards and stuff. It would definitely be helpful to just add a quick tutorial in the rules notepad thing, since you already put all the info about babel in there.
If you were really wanting to play 2 players, perhaps check out 7 wonders Dual, which is a different game, and while I prefer 7 Wonders to Dual, it's designed for 2 players.
Also, thank you!
Do you have any steps for reproducing the error? Thanks
Error in Script(Control panel - 8ddd63)function<InitSetup>: chunk_3:(117,15-17): attempt to call a nil value.
Thanks for making this mod, It great!
As for dealing cards, that'll be in the next update. At the moment it's just hover over the central cards and press 7 (or 8) depending on how many players you have.
I've always played random personally!
Thank you for your kind words! It's still in development also, so if you notice any bugs, spelling mistakes or otherwise just let me know. I've got a planned update which I'll try and get finished up this week, which will allow for seat shuffling (to stop people from sitting next to each other every time when picking their fav colours!) and card dealing.
7 Wonders is a great game, and is delightfully expandable. Making it super approachable to people getting into the hobby, but also for people who want a more involved experience. And also flexible in player count, which is a huge benefit.
Just for your information, I've released another update which lets you join/split coins by hotkey / on context menus. It saves counting lots of "1s" See the update log for more information.
As usual, if you catch any issues, let me know.
Can you confirm that it was only the control panels that were invisible to the other players? Were they able to see everything else? Playerboards etc?
In terms of reproducability, does this happen every time for you? Are you playing any particular setup, or does it happen with base game, as well as all expansions?
I'd be interested to know if locking and then unlocking the control panel made it pop into existence. Failing that I wonder if copy / pasting the control panel would work.
Also, now that I've got saving and loading working, I'd be interested to know if rewinding one step would make them pop into existence.
It sounds mostly like a general TTS being wonky issue than a mod specific issue, but if it's something I can find a way to reproduce, I'll see if there's a way I can work around it. Thanks!
Does anyone know what causes this and how it can be fixed?
I'll look into that tonight.
There is a rotate cards button actually! There is a control panel on the back desk which has rotate cards and change draft direction on it.
I'm not finished with the mod yet, so if you have any issues just let me know.
Thanks
Incidentally, if you save the game, then reload it once it's already up they'll appear correctly again. Also it's only the host that sees things incorrectly. But seeing as nothing's been done in quite some time, I'm thinking of just making my own custom models and importing them.
There is then a second control panel you can move to wherever you like which controls the draft direction.
You're right though I should probably include all this in the notebook for some instructions.
Enjoy, and if you have any questions feel free to ask! Hope this helps!
There's currently no way of choosing your own wonder. I've always played the game as "You get what you're given" as to avoid people playing the same strategies over and over.
As for how to start the game, You just go to the panel on the side, select how many players there, choose which expansions you want in, and then click "start game".
You can then choose whether you want A or B side by pressing the A/B button on your control mat. The control mats float to allow the cards to stack in the correct way.
The gold and conflict tokens are still floating way above the bags.
Thanks in advance if this can be fixed :)
I can't find any instruction booklet - I already know how to play but it would be nice to have so other players who don't already know the rules can read up on them
I can't find any information on how to actually use your mod, the workshop description is missing information and there doesn't seem to be any in-game explanation of the setup.
I'll look into that and also the Great Wall issue. Thanks for reporting this weirdness!
- You can not flip to the B-Side of "The Great Wall" wonder per control panel.
- The gold and conflict tokens are hovering miles over the bags.
Maybe you could add a button on the control panel for the leaders and a button on the starting panel to instantly check every box?
