Please be so kind as to update your lovely mod :)

While it mostly still works, it makes habitat construction impossible and enables some weird megastructures (empty megastructures with part of code logic as names).

I used to get so annoyed that I couldn't add a ringworld to my love home system, so I'm very grateful for this. I mean, heaps.
For some reason I still stick to the Stellaris rules for placing most other things. Makes me realise how conformist I really am. Anyway, thanks!

I have to say this is quite a nice concept, but it definitely has some issues.

Terraforming megastructures, when they have used on their assigned planets, will create a planet with no special modifiers or rare resource deposits.
The Orbital Arcology has no name or description, just "DESC_"
The Nicoll-Dyson Beam's "portal" only shows up as a weird box

Well the problem on my side seems, to be the EHOF, Nicoll-Dyson Beam, Ringworld stages, and a limited build cap, you see this mod uses an edict to unlock the build cap, sometimes the game bugs and you will be unable to see that particular edict, and if you don't enable it. It will set the limit to 1 for 90% of the giga/mega-structures in the game it doesn't matter if you use the gigastructure engineering mod to set the build cap to infinite, it overrides that command. So this mod makes it impossible under any circumstances to build the systemcraft if that bug happens. I think the only way to fix this mod is to remove the build cap edict, and to just make this mod have the ability to place the giga/mega-structures anywhere. Because the game already gigastructure engineering mod already has a no build cap limit. But this mod could still be useful for the placing of gigastructures and megastructures.

AH so this mod causes EHOF to fail. It just leaves the _DESC behind after you use the thing. Pitty, oh well. lesson learned here. Besides in a month or so the new expansion will be out and NONE of our mods will work lol. Ty for the info.

Well here's the deal this mod is a bit buggy with the ringworlds look but they all still work and function properly on my side, as for EHOF you have to build a megastructure at the same time as the EHOF (Use Instant_Build) btw and if your not building it in a black hole system make the star into a black hole use this ( planet_class pc_black_hole ) now the main problem I seem to be having is the Nicoll-Dyson Beam

On the Behemoth Ringworld start all segments except your own get removed with only a nameplate "_DESC" left bihind, same with the EHOF on activation

This mod is incompatible with the EHOF structure in gigastructural engineering. When you click on the EHOF ui element the EHOF decides to delete itself, turning into a glitched megastructure that has no name, description or model, and cannot be used.

Does this effect save game? I installed this and the 'can't build multiple megas in a single system' modifier is still in effect. (I assumed this mod remove this restriction from the screenshot).

I forgot that I had actually turned the simultaneous build limit to infinity, but gigastructures didn't actually change it, so I looked around for mods that would fix it instead of double checking the gigastructures edict. I'm currently not making enough megastructures to test it but it may be working again, but getting rid of megastructure limits sounds funny so I'm going to use this mod anyway

The base Gigastructures mod has an option to remove the simultaneous build limit when you start a new game, but i'm updating this mod to add an edict that'll do the same, for save-game compatibility

Yeah its not a load order thing, I tried it with just this mod and gigastructures, and it still just has no textures and the names are things like "succ_0" and "lunar_disco_ball_0"

Perhaps the Habitat setting should not be relaxed? I have seen the AI stack several Habitats on one planet leading to only one habitat being clickable, which makes things rather difficult.

There is actually an old mod that allows you to build Gateways in orbit of a planet/moon/astroid/star(?), so maybe you could use that as a base.

Sadly, gateways are the one thing i couldn't really change, just because of how the megastructure files are set up. A megastructure either has to be outside the gravity well, or in orbit around a planet/star/asteroid/whatever.

So just to ensure this is what I think it is, we can place structures where we want so warp gates or whatever they are, for example, can be placed anywhere in the system opposed to on the edge?

Brilliant work. While you can still cheat, this is also great when Stellaris refuses to bend to your will, due to a technicality.

One suggestion, however: Do you think you could make a version for this that also includes support for the megastructures in ACOT - Balanced Megastructures by Apocalypto?

this is horrible and I love it
