Unfortunately I don't know what causes this; most people havn't had this problem although a couple have mentioned it, and I'm not sure if it is a problem with the mod itself, or an incompatibility with another commonly used mod.
I'm am still planning to release an better version of this mod which improves balance and provides more realism and challange, as well as supporting all DLCs and other mods. However due to upcoming exams and a several other factors, I don't know how long it will be until this is made.

for some reason guards always equip their daggers instead of their swords any idea on how to fix it?

At some point I may replace this with a percentage increase for all actors (possibly including creatures) which wuld effect dlc and mod weapons as well as work better as the player levels up.

seems like it would make DLC weapons less useful, because you can't deal out the hurt that the enemies can.

Nice mod though, good work and if it wasn't for my obsession with DLC weapons, I would be all over this

I've got no idea what I've done to cause that, all I've done is edited weapon stats, and I've done for every weapon not just daggers. Most people aren't having this problem made me think it was clientside, but I'll l look into it.

I saw an NPC draw a dagger upon seeing me, but quickly sheath it to draw a bow, and then exchanged that for a sword when I got close. I am using a lot of other mods, though, so I don't know if what I saw was related.

I'm not sure what's causing that (maybe an incompatability?), but it's not this mod.
From what I know NPCs use the most damaging weapon they have-unless they have a shield in which case they use the most damaging one handed weapon.
All this mod does is increase the damage of all weapons, what was previously an NPCs most powerful weapon will still be their most powerful weapon. The only thing I can think of is that you have another mod which is changing how NPCs select which weapon to use (this could be any mod which changes NPCs in anyway; some mods have dirty edits)
Either that or a conflict, sorry I couldn't help more but I'm glad you like my mod.

I think, actually....that with this mod (I am unsure which mod, but this one is melee weapons, and my problem is including that) that NPCs will usually take out a steel dagger if they have one. Stormcloaks, Imperials, Hold Guards, and sometimes bandits. I want all of them to actually use their real weapons, not their stupid dagger. It's just making combat look stupid when they have an amazing warrior or guard-like sword and they use a simple steel dagger, the weapon of an assassin. I just don't really like them running around with daggers. But, I do like the mod.

Does this mod work with daedric weapons such as the ebony blade? Because it seems to have unusually low damage.

I love this modification and the increase in pace it adds, but what about the non-weapon-using characters in the game (i.e. creatures, animals, etc.)? Do you plan to make a mod increasing their damage?

Hey bro I love the idea about the Deadly Weapons skyrim was way to easy and now it is more challenging. Although the mod seems to be working. When I launch Skyrim and it gets to Deadly Weapons (Download or something like this Modding 55/103 Deadly Weapons it says (Failed to get details for "Deadly Weapons"! Steam error 15). Not exactly sure if this is bad, but I thought I would let you know in case it was something. Love your mod hope it stills works!

Multiplying the weapon damage by 10 but leaving blocking value the same means that blocking is 90% less useful. If you take that away all that's left in combat is spamming stealth attacks or leaping about like a bloody arsehole.
