Update? The new music player broke every old music mod lol
humbleacadie Aug 18, 2024 @ 2:28am
Are the music culture-tied ie if I'm playing a french count or if I'm hovering the mouse over France I only get french traditional songs ? Or is it every country which gets all musics ?
Delnar_Ersike  [author] Dec 20, 2023 @ 8:35pm
I believe that issue of music getting interrupted by musical cues is the game's music system working as designed, and there's no way I can fix that. Any event or action that triggers a sound or a musical sting when it activates is going to reset the music subsystem when the cue is done playing. There's nothing I can really do about that as a modder (besides removing all musical cues from the game).
Serdar_Oguz Dec 20, 2023 @ 2:29pm
very good mod, i like the turkish music, but can you add a update, because the musics stop swhen a war breaks out or something happens, and then some depressive music starts
Trolock Oct 25, 2023 @ 3:10am
Is it bad I added this mod because of the thumbnail lmao...(ofc the mod is good to so yk) but like
Locer Gamal May 15, 2023 @ 3:49pm
Splendid, thank you!
Delnar_Ersike  [author] May 15, 2023 @ 6:13am
It only adds songs, it does not overwrite anything.
Locer Gamal May 15, 2023 @ 5:41am
Does this mod overwrite already existing songs in the game? Or does it just add onto them.
Delnar_Ersike  [author] Dec 2, 2022 @ 5:09am
There is no YouTube playlist, especially since a lot of the songs used are not uploaded to YouTube. But if you get a hold of the mod's files (there are many ways to do this, e.g. browsing the GitHub repository), you can find the source of every song in the LICENSE file inside.
Daniel Dec 1, 2022 @ 2:30pm
Do you have a YouTube playlist or anything to listen to this out of game?
Delnar_Ersike  [author] Nov 23, 2022 @ 4:05am
I believe it should work with 1.8.0, yes. I designed the mod in a way that makes it as future-proof as possible. If it doesn't work, I'll have to check the files again.
Lunar Blacksmith Nov 22, 2022 @ 11:28pm
Does this work with 1.8.0?
Mina Jun 5, 2022 @ 10:04pm
Update?
Delnar_Ersike  [author] May 14, 2022 @ 7:08pm
Mod has been updated to be able to use 1.5's cultural triggers. I also added three Gregorian chants, five Orthodox chants, and four Middle Eastern songs (and removed two songs that weren't actually royalty-free).
Dallan Mar 24, 2022 @ 5:35am
This probably needs to be updated for 1.5 because culture group triggers now don't work - you have to use culture heritage triggers.
Olafio Jan 30, 2022 @ 7:39am
ok for the jokes you should just add one song from georgia (the state) and have a little chuckle.
Hardened_Mass Jan 16, 2022 @ 3:55pm
I'll see what I can dig up.
Delnar_Ersike  [author] Jan 15, 2022 @ 3:50am
@Hardened_Mass: Do you have any sources that are explicitly royalty-free? Just because a song is up on YouTube does not mean I have the legal right to redistribute it through a free mod. The song either needs to be in the Public Domain, have a Creative Commons license, or otherwise explicitly have a license that allows for royalty-free redistribution in a non-commercial work. And yes, it has to be explicitly stated.
Hardened_Mass Jan 15, 2022 @ 1:54am
Also forgot to mention that the tradition of Sean Nos singing goes back at least 800 years, possibly far longer according to some sources.
Hardened_Mass Jan 15, 2022 @ 1:52am
Could you add some Irish Sean Nos style singing? It is a haunting acapella story singing in the Bardic Tradition with raw vocal breaks that just tear your heart out! A great example of the style is found in this YT video... http://store.steampowered.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-q5vm5P6L4 [/url] . There's also a scene in LOTR Two Towers where Pippin has to sing for Denethor which is heavily influenced by Sean Nos. Lots of YT vids!

... did you read the Readme on the GitHub page? "Medieval-style"/bardcore remakes of modern songs do not belong in this mod.

Coldplay's Viva la Viva in "medieval theme"
- The original sound talks about Louis XVI (the last king of France before losing everything from his neck upwards).
A good theme for our kings and dukes who loses everything to peasant rebellions, a crusade, eternal yihads, the wrath of the norsemen, or even bad genetics.
Fronto Mar 19, 2021 @ 3:58am
@Delnar_Ersike Thank you for the reply. I have now added your mod to my little collection.
Delnar_Ersike  [author] Mar 19, 2021 @ 3:08am
Fronto: Yes and yes. This mod does not remove any existing music or sounds, and I only picked additional tracks whose sound "texture" meshed well with the game's original music (so less intense stuff).
Fronto Mar 19, 2021 @ 2:02am
Does the game's original music still play, and do the contextual triggers (war, death..) still work?

I'd love to have this, but feel the need to know if it's a replacement or addition to the game's music.
Barracuda Mar 17, 2021 @ 6:43am
Thanks for the quick fix
Anarchaz Mar 16, 2021 @ 12:32pm
1.3?
GinaTonik Dec 10, 2020 @ 7:01pm
I just wanted to come back to tell you how much I enjoy this mod. Thank you and thanks for making it achievement compatible.
Delnar_Ersike  [author] Nov 12, 2020 @ 4:24pm
It can take a while to "kick in", yes. The tracks are assigned random weights, and though it is rare to not hear any of them within the first hour or so, it is entirely possible because of the way random chance works.
General Cruster Nov 12, 2020 @ 1:57pm
Is there something special I'm supposed to do to get this to work? It's enabled but all I hear is the base game music. Does it take a while to kick in?
mtsr83 Oct 28, 2020 @ 2:22pm
very chill and atmospheric music.. I like it
Thank you
Scrapulous Sep 26, 2020 @ 2:40pm
This is a great collection of music. Thanks very much for doing all this work!
simonb1er Sep 21, 2020 @ 10:20am
thank you!
Delnar_Ersike  [author] Sep 18, 2020 @ 3:23pm
simonb1er: Yes, this mod should be compatible with any and all other music mods. However, the music in this mod is normalized to the same volume as the music in the base game, so if you are using a music mod whose music is normalized to a different volume, you may have an inconsistent experience with music volume.
simonb1er Sep 18, 2020 @ 3:09pm
Compatible with other music mods?
101 Sep 18, 2020 @ 7:03am
great mod compatible with others.
Delnar_Ersike  [author] Sep 14, 2020 @ 6:45pm
Note that the mod Fenghuang linked to has music that is NOT royalty-free and NOT appropriately licensed. If you upload any CK3 footage to YouTube containing those songs, prepare to get your video claimed by one of the various authors whose videos are in the playlist used by that mod.

One of the most important requirements for any music, including any bardcore tracks, to get included in this mod is that it MUST be licensed for royalty-free rebroadcasting and redistribution. I have not found a single bardcore track that would match that condition, which is the main reason why I have not included any bardcore tracks in this mod. If you do find ones that match this condition though (and my other two conditions, both listed on the GitHub repository), I'd be happy to include them in the mod.
Fènghuáng® Sep 14, 2020 @ 10:24am
Those asking for Bardcore, there's already a mod for that: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2218178473

We must have Bardcore
Delnar_Ersike  [author] Sep 9, 2020 @ 4:11am
Rognvaldr: If you can find me bardcore that fits with the requirements listed on GitHub (short version: properly licensed, high quality recording, stylistically appropriate), I'd be happy to include some.
Erilaz Sep 9, 2020 @ 3:22am
It's all well and good
