Hi Andi, I think I had initially done this on purpose, the lore idea being that once you ascend too high under a standard principle the worm can't successfully integrate; and the balance perspective being ascension is easier under a regular cult than the worm one, and I didn't want to make it so much easier. If I'm not mistaken this is the case for all the true worm candidates.

Hello, I wanted to report a compatibility bug with your Up From Nowhere mod.

Brayden is supposed to be a true worm but when I tried to convert an exalted Brayden he still rebelled. I took a peek at the code and it looks like the regular exalted Brayden is missing the "exaltedadvancement_worm" trait (worm versions appear to have it I think). So it looks like Brayden can be upgraded to a true worm once infested but if you exalt him first he will rebel.

It gives 7 followers, not 3. And I mean, you're not guaranteed to get it as a location, plus the 4 SH followers have rather niche applications, so I don't think it's unbalanced in any way.
I'm fine with how it works now, and the campus location has some other functions in the Professor legacy, and disentangling those is not something I wanna try and do. My code in these mods is messy at times cuz I was still learning, and I'd rather not risk causing a bunch of bugs.

I think it's a bit weird, and it sorta allows you to guarantee followers because library. Having a second card that exists only for the sake of 3 cards just feels weird, and given the new capacity to integrate them into the original card, it makes a lot more sense, in my opinion, to properly meld the mod so it fits in better.

Way back in the day when I created this mod, there was no way for two mods to simultaneously add cards to the same deck. So I created a new card so that other follower mods could be used at the same time as mine. Now the modding syntax has been updated so that wouldn't be an issue anymore, but if it isn't broke don't fix it.

I don't know if this was said before but when a secret histories follower gets a scar (for me it was a winter scar) then speaking to them about cult business changes their cult job from finding secret histories to the type of scar they got (if they got a winter scar they now kill a person instead of finding secret histories)

All good then, if you have no intention of changing them at this time, hopefully someone steps up and decides to do so, though I find that to be unlikely.
This being said, thanks for making this mod, really well done and helps out with my innate need for even-ness, I appreciate it greatly.

Hi Centiga, I only have these assets in the colours they're in. I'm not currently planning to recolour them (cuz I'm not very good at it). Someone else could if they wanted, then I could try reaching out to the creater of the color-fixing mod to have them add them, or I could create a colour fixing mod just for my followers. However I have no plans of making the effort to get the assets recoloured on my own at this time.

With just the base game they do not help with expeditions or anything really, aside from the Cult Business I've added. Another of my mods, The Professor, requires this mod since the expeditions require Secret Histories. Up From Nowhere adds other new mechanics and uses for followers which include some Secret Histories uses as well.
Of course, the mod adds a Winter, Knock, and Grail follower as well, and those work normally.

Are these followers useful in any expeditions at all? If not, do you plan to add a type of secret histories aspect to expeditions or perhaps new expeditions?

@superjw2 Hey, it's working fine now. I'm not sure what was going on back on the 9th. I did run into issues on another mod called City Expansion that was due to no default card being stated explicitly in that mod (which I fixed with Chel's advice). This one just seems to be working, so I think perhaps it was something to do with an update at the time from Alex.

I mean, how else can I reliably get restlessness on demand other than the empty campus library?

Hi Wanderer, I've looked into the crash but am unable to replicate it Do you have any mods installed by other developers that aren't on the required list? Also, are you on the current or legacy version of the game?
If you don't have any unrequired mods by other developers I'd appreciate seeing a player.log file from after the crash occurs so I can figure out what is causing it.

When using the campus library on the newest CS build in the Explore verb, on completion of the timer it crashes the game. Is this a new minor defeat feature? ;)

I have another mod, the Professor, which has a Secret Histories cult that lets you exalt the Secret Histories followers. Otherwise it's just via rivals

I was screwing around with the console and I see that there are exalted versions of the secret histories followers. Can these be acquired through the Talk verb somehow, or just via recruiting them as rivals?

Hi 千花书记; I deleted your comment regarding Joshua and Jesse having no prisoner option, since that's correct and intentional; so I see it as a spoiler. The explanation is Joshua and Jesse can procure the means to escape to another History, and thus cannot be effectively captured. Thanks for bringing it up, though!

Thank you so much for this mod, I wouldn't play without it anymore!

One thing though, and it's a really tiny thing, but I also use the mod that changes followers' background colors to match their aspect and this mod kind of clashes with that. No big deal at all but it would be grand to have these new followers follow that color pattern.

I noticed as well that the base game descriptions were inconsistent, so I did whatever felt best for each description. Currently I'm pretty happy with the descriptions as they are, but I do appreciate the feedback!

I'll add that I stand corrected as Cat Caro's believer description reads "A bright-eyed, watchful woman who recalls her dreams perfectly," and Jesse's reads "Jesse sees the strands that connect one History to another." I do still think my point is worth noting though. c:

I like this mod so far, haven't played a ton of it through yet, but one very important detail that isn't quite right with it is that the followers' descriptions don't begin with their names.

For example, Rose's believer description reads: "Rose is a sly miss, but loyal."
But Colton's believer description reads: "He works for a security firm, and has experience with establishing and dismantling security."

I'd absolutely love if you tweaked these descriptions just a bit to make them consistent with the base followers. <3 I'd love to help if you want to DM me, too.

Maybe, "Colton works for a security firm in the Capital. He's quite familiar with doors, and their secrets."
"Brayden has witnessed many endings; yet has few questions regarding his own eventual end."

In my current play through I have Cheyenne as a romantic interest. Every time the romance verb comes up and Cheyenne get's grabbed by it, I end with a Solitude result. Which states I am alone. She is currently a disciple, and has the Interested Aspect.

I do have other mods enabled:The Professor, Author, Up From Nowhere, The Veteran, and the very first I subscribed to was AchievementIntegration. Presently I am going through the Professor Legacy.

It was all the followers. I believe I had the forge cult. I tried both with my other mods and then on its own run with only this mod and the same cult but it didn't work once again so I don't believe it was a conflict issue.

When I upgrade one of the secret histories followers to a disciple and have them try and do cult business nothing happens. Not sure why?

You're the second Mac user I've had to report an issue with the images loading. That does seem to be the issue; everything works fine on PC. I'd recommend you report it to Weather Factory through their support email to let them know so they can look into it.

Thanks for the tip. That worked-- I found the library. However, I just want to let you know that it shows up as only a pink question mark for me, same as Joshua did in the Professor legacy. I'm on a Mac, maybe that has something to do with it.

If you installed the mod after starting the game; it may not appear. Since deck contents are decided at game start, mods that add cards to decks don't show up until the next game

Thanks for your response. I have yet to find anything aside from hirelings, streets strange, and the typical locations through the explore verb, but I'll keep trying.

You can find them in any playthrough; but not through esoteric matters. When doing the generic explore action, you will be able to find public library access, which you can then explore to find the added followers.

Hi there, I'm having trouble accessing these new followers. I found Joshua when I used the Professor legacy, but none of them show up when I speak of esoteric matters in the aspirant legacy. Do they only show up at the campus?

It generates Secret Histories lore based on chance and the follower's power. I can't remember off-hand what the chances are, but I think the highest level lore you can get is 6. It's a nice alternative to grinding the Mansus
