update plz
SupperTime Jul 6 @ 10:06pm
But I’m not getting my hopes up, the mod hasn’t been updated in four years.
SupperTime Jul 6 @ 10:05pm
Honestly, this makes way more sense. The trait probably just came from how tall or big people were portrayed in medieval art — and of course, stories like David and Goliath from the Old Testament. I’d love to see an update on this!

Thanks!

thank you man.
SplittinHeads Jun 19, 2021 @ 8:18am
Honestly to hell with achievements, I just don't want my giants to look like rocky dennis. Thanks man
Gelre  [author] Jun 19, 2021 @ 3:57am
Should be updated for those that still care, not sure if it works with achievements or not
Gelre  [author] Jun 18, 2021 @ 3:18pm
@Defiled I might update it at some point but when PDX changed what files edit the checksum to include this one and I could thus no longer use it in my achievement runs I kinda lost motivation to keep updating
SplittinHeads Jun 18, 2021 @ 3:00pm
Any update brother?
Procyon Apr 5, 2021 @ 4:30pm
does this mod still work?
SplittinHeads Mar 20, 2021 @ 10:13pm
It might be much to ask but can this be updated, I don't think it works anymore unless you can confirm it. I hate playing without it
Siketh Nov 26, 2020 @ 5:34pm
no longer iron-man compatible.
NinjaPlease Nov 25, 2020 @ 4:51pm
Will double check something again to see if another mod is conflicting a bit.
NinjaPlease Nov 25, 2020 @ 4:50pm
Yes double checking. Seems like its up to date. Maybe the head height morph change that occurs when the height type is set to "giant_height" for a character is what I'm seeing?
Gelre  [author] Nov 25, 2020 @ 3:12pm
@NinjaPlease Im quite sure I already patched the issue, can you confirm you have the update from Nov 24?
NinjaPlease Nov 25, 2020 @ 3:03pm
Seems to no longer be working with 1.2/1.2.1
acv55555 Oct 3, 2020 @ 8:48am
Kinda like my males to look giantish in the face, but not the females. Can you make it so it doesn't affect the female faces?
Grandfather Nurgle Oct 1, 2020 @ 2:25am
i tested it with version 1.1 and works fine for me, so you can ignore the warning at the launcher.
jpinard Sep 25, 2020 @ 3:19pm
BTW, is it supposed to change past giant faces, or just future ones?
jpinard Sep 25, 2020 @ 3:19pm
Thanks for this. Was tired of looking at my freakish kin's faces, but still wanted the height. You're awesome!!!

@ Ultimate Powa

Wrong. Its more accruate to say the Germanics were around 5`8 - 6 feet, if you include the whole group and average the height. The more advanced Mediterraneans were on average 5`6 - 5`10. Not much shorter. Isolation of tribes & diet of largely meat, gave them that slight edge in height. it was mostly the diet.

You are confusing them for the Dinka people in South Sudan. 6`5-7 ft plus. Average height for them is 6`6 or slightly taller. The Dinka people have been the tallest people in the world, and have been acknowledged by the Romans, Greeks, & others. Not just for being very tall, but freakishly tall. Other Nubians at that time average above 5`11.

The diverse Celts also had many taller tribes as well. They had already settled much of Europe for thousands of years and in parts of inner Anatolia briefly. The Celts played more of a genetic role in Western Europe & the Balkans than the Germanic tribes. Second only to the Latin Romans.

@TJS184

Gigantism is experienced when DNA from somebody who is really tall, or has tall DNA, mixes with somebody who has small DNA, and the body doesn't have the code to stop growing.

Giants are people who are just tall, like anybody from the north.
A 1000 years ago though, people didn't travel far, so groups of people were tall, tended to stay that height, and groups of people who weren't tended to stay that height.
So you had people who were 5 foot (Romans), going up against 6-7 foot Germanic Tribesmen, and from there the height divide settled where the Roman Empire ended.

TL:DR
They are basically the same thing, one just doesn't stop growing until they die.
Hazy Sep 10, 2020 @ 3:25pm
@Feuerhai Wow never knew that, cheers bud much appreciated.
@Def!led wasting time just to type that out, what a bellend.
Fireshark Sep 10, 2020 @ 1:56pm
If you want to know the id of a workshop mod just right-click on the page and copy the page URL, the id is at the end of it. That's the same number as the one after the ugc for the .mod file and the one from the folder in your steam folder (...\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1158310\*mod id*). 1158310 is the number for CK3.
SplittinHeads Sep 10, 2020 @ 9:39am
Sounds like a personal problem @Leon
Hazy Sep 10, 2020 @ 6:48am
Can't find yours because I have over 50 mods xD
Gelre  [author] Sep 9, 2020 @ 11:31pm
@Leon by looking under documents/paradox interactive/CK3/mod you can find the right .mod file that will include the path to the files of my mod on your PC, if you don't manage to find it that way please add me as a friend and ill send you the file
Hazy Sep 9, 2020 @ 5:25pm
@GeneralVonGelre I would like to create a very tall trait that incorporates what you've done here to set it apart from the giant trait. Would you mind providing me with your code? The mod would be for personal use.
TJS184 Sep 9, 2020 @ 4:08am
Ah ok didn't realise it was meant to be ironman compatible
Gelre  [author] Sep 8, 2020 @ 11:47pm
@TJS184 thats certainly possible and not at all hard to do however I made this to be ironman compatible and adding an aditional trait wouldnt be
TJS184 Sep 8, 2020 @ 6:21pm
This is cool, but an idea could be to create two separate character trait's like 'Gigantism' the disease we see in game with it's facial features and health problems and maybe 'Giant' as in they just are unusually tall but don't have the over-expressed bone structure
SplittinHeads Sep 8, 2020 @ 12:33pm
It worked man, thanks so much for uploading to both! 5 stars
Gelre  [author] Sep 8, 2020 @ 12:11pm
@Def!led It should be uploaded, though if it doesnt work please add me and ill send you the file manually
SplittinHeads Sep 8, 2020 @ 11:44am
Lots of people don't have the game on steam, the alternative is Microsoft Game Pass which my friend uses. A lot of modders are uploading to both, I would just ask that you please upload to both for my friend so we can use in multiplayer ;). Or link a manual download for the mod
Gelre  [author] Sep 8, 2020 @ 5:22am
@Def!led whats the advantage of that over just using Steam Workshop?
SplittinHeads Sep 7, 2020 @ 1:22pm
Any chance of getting this on Paradox Mods website?
FTale Sep 7, 2020 @ 1:18pm
