OK, I see what you mean by an update. Unfortunately, I changed to a new computer recently, so updating the mod to suit the new version of the game will be more difficult. Let me see what I can do nonetheless...

Of course they are, DNA wise they're close to Europeans but skin wise might be very dark.

Pretty sure Indians aren't as dark skinned as Ethiopians.

O by the way ruled by arabic/levantene/anatolian people they look different from the rest of east africa. Is there any chance you could change that?

Nice one dude Ethiopia was a little to light skined, it was weird only sudan and somalia stayed black in east africa. O yea do you think you can add new races to the game? like diffrent groups of turks or mediterranean people or others etc etc. If even one would be possible that would be awesome.

In ranger's defense I think thats a joke because Aryan is a common Indian name, don't mind him

but the majority of indian lord at that time were Aryans,most of which are white people.It s just not historically accurate dude!

Definitely a must have. Can you do anything about these cultures and Steppe (I think thats the term? Asians) having medium brown hair instead of dark brown or black?

I feel like darker africans will come up as part of a DLC, like the chinese did back in CK2.
There's a big swathe of central africa with defined rivers and forests that doesn't have any counties on it, might be foreshadowing something.

I want my Malians to be pitch black, so dark I can't see their faces.

Paradox needs to just yoink this, and integrate it into the vanilla game.

Africa is supposed to be the most genetically diverse continent on the face of the planet, but right now, it's just three shades of brown. Really inaccurate.

As for Indians, well, they're descended from several different waves of migration into the sub-continent, but the founding populations did mix extensively with the previous inhabitants over the centuries.

UPDATE 9/6/20:

Regional variation in Indian skin tones AND a new Northeast African ethnic group have now been implemented!

It makes Indians have greater variation in skin color. So that you have light skinned Indians and dark skinned Indians. Ethnicity isnt broken down into ethnic groups like "Indo-Aryan" and "Dravidian" etc in CK3.

Does it take into mind that the Indians that are every bit as "Black" as the Africans are the Dravidians specifically? A different race from what most Indians are which is Indo-Aryan. Ik someone IRL who is Indian and his skin isn't that dark.

Amazing Idea, I was very confused when looking at the African Nations. Thank you!

I appreciate this thank you - having white passing courtiers who are culturally west african was so immersion breaking. One suggestion i'd make though is if possible to increase the darkness further? At least on a spectrum. So for example people living in the Sudan (Nubians in game) should be much darker on average, where as the moment people's complexions are basically the same across the whole continent from west to east coast, which is just not accurate. Increasing the range, so some people in West Africa are much darker, and some people in the East as well, would make a better and more accurate mix. Skin tones are a gradient, where as in vanilla the gradient is way off and you have white passing people, even with this mod i'm finding whilst the overall appearance is much better, there's still not heaps of variation, and no one very dark at all.

Idk how Paradox messed this up tbh. Thanks for the fix.

Thank you for this. Africans are a lot to bright. Now you see more difference when you marry person with different skin colors.
