no, I have no intention of changing it, I don't see it as an issue

ISSUE
The issue for me was "Purple square icons were displayed on some councilor task buttons".
FIX SUMMARY
After several hours of testing, I finally got to the bottom of this issue, at least for my mod list/playset.
WHAT DID NOT WORK
1) Against the original suspicion, it actually has nothing to do with the excellent mod 'Better UI Scaling'; obviously, unsubscribing/resubscribing to it does not fix the purple icons.
2) Verifying game files did not fix anything for me either.
WHAT DID WORK
1) Disabling the mods listed below make the purple boxes go away for me.
Auto promote culture
Auto conversion
Auto increase control
[1.15] Auto-Pause (updated)
Note: I am posting this message to the Workshop Discussions section of each mod to inform others, hope it helps you get rid of the annoying purple boxes.

Run it without any mods, take a screenshot, upload your error log.
it's in your Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\logs\
Paradox changed placeholders, maybe yours haven't updated for some weird reason
unless, of course, you have other mods
You can also try and remove the files manually. In the launcher, click the three dots next to the mod, Show in Folder. And just nuke the whole mod.
Thank you so much!
Ah yes, sorry for missing that link!
I just switched back to the older version (v.39) and fixed my problem, my UI is back to normal.
Thank you!
First, thank you for your work on this mod.
Second, The latest update broke the UI for me when using this mod with the older version of the game - would it be possible to download the older version as a ZIP if you have it and don't mind uploading somewhere for me?
are you saying you don't have any of the task icons? they are replaced by placeholders?
are you playing on the new, 1.16 version?
See the first two screenshots above.

I removed a few old things to update quicker. The realm window has been reworked, for example. I'll see about making it more compact later.
I was able to fix it.
But it's not part of this mod, you're using something outdated.

In fact, the mod specifically moves arrange marriage to be on top of character window. Character has middle layer (6), arrange marriage is top (8), while in vanilla it was middle.
Look at other mods that may be messing with this.
And are you sure vanilla behaves differently? And the difference is because of this mod?
@Mr Rager, the arrow is in, next to the close button. Maybe try resubscribing if it's not there.
If they change ui, this mod would overwrite their changes, so you'd lose out on features.
