Need updated！The mod can‘t take effect after game Ver. 1.13 for administrative title owner。

So, if I want to abdicate to play as my heir, my old ruler will have a rivalry with my heir. I just want to abdicate willingly.

If anyone else is having problems getting this mod to work in the latest game version try doing what I did. Create a new local mod and copy paste the contents of this mod into your new mod folder. Suddenly it worked for me. No idea why.

This is great! I've been abusing tyranny wars to surrender and abdicate up until now but that comes with the cost of lower crown authority each use.

I mean I'm not exactly trying to make this or my immortality mod balanced. I only added the part making them your rival because I wanted to learn how to do it for a future mod. I might make versions of the mods at some point with proper balance making it hard to do, but for now they're just cheat mods essentially.

It's a cheat anyway, you could always role play that you got a hook. Or maybe he will make a second version with a hook.

@Slightly Productive I think for balance purposes forcing a vassal to abdicate should require a hook. Its a little to easy to abuse it otherwise.

Hmm. @FunGaming44 well right now if they're your vassal you can make them abdicate already. I suppose I could make it so that if you're the head of dynasty you can make family members abdicate as well.

Maybe I'll do something like that as a sub mod @Samouelter, from what I've seen most people just want it to be free to do.

is there anyway you can add an option to also have the abdicate option as head of dynasty and head of house ? So lets say my grandson has titles but he is still a kid and im his heir or his father is his heir and im not his liege but i am his head of dynasty, so could you make it so he will then abdicate to whoever the heir is. Offcourse an option to have abdicate to me the character or abdicate to heir would be even better.

Instead of costing dynasty renown as you suggested, you could make it cost 750 prestige and gain the content trait like the abdication mod in CKII ?

Updated adding an interaction to force your vassals to abdicate. Doing so will make them your rival (but with no power what can they do about it ;P)

Because I figure if you only want to grant titles you can just do that normally.

Yeah, first I tried making it an interaction so you could choose who you abdicated to, but I could only get that to give away your titles, and once you ran out give you a game over due to landless, so I moved it to a decision where you're deposed which is essentially an abdication.

did something change, it disappeared from the right click menu now its only under decisions ?

interesting idea indeed, maybe a 3 flavor one where you can have another vessel abdicate and choose what title to abdicate and to who, maybe have the option abdicate to me. Things like that are definitely interesting.
