as mentioned in the trucks main page, viper2 is still working on an update to fully work on 1.38. I suggest head over to the truck's page and read the comments for further info..

Love the truck but am having problems with the trans. After I finish my load the trans shifts into some lower gear (I'm using an 18 sp manual). I was in 8H doing 30mph @ 1800 rpm. cant figure it out

Use https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=724654784 this truck and head to any service station. Don't forget to activate the mod on mod manager.
