ended up editing the dates on just abut half of this mod to make it compatible with Early Start. Also because it bugged me that the track and sheds etc are available before Brunel came up with the idea, and continues to be available forever.

Would be neat to see a later update to make this compatible with early start

Is there anything you can do about the mixed track on switches? even making as shallow of a turn as I could, it makes switches and crossing broad gauge only.
also, I like the early game, so I do make use of the broad gauge stuff sometimes.

Thanks to Steve for releasing the update (with shadow fix included) on the depot! And Yoshi for helping me with the .con files, so the correct track type would show on each depot.

Amazing Mod, keep up the good work

It seams that TF2 has a lot of built in limitations!

I can insert your GWR broad gauge track in station after reading earlier comments on madhatters UK station page .
But I'm still getting blue box in track type in the station configurer, any ideas.

Can that be fixed?

I'm following the instructions in the description but all i'm getting are error messages.

Imagine a 7ft gauge heavy mallet.

You indicate that most players prefer the late game, meanwhile there's me wishing for an overhaul mod that allows you to start in 9,000 BC with the invention of economic systems and the only "vehicles" you get are human couriers until the domestication of the horse and invention of the wheel in the 4th millennium BC.

christ imagine like a 4-6-0 in this gauge

My favourite thing to do is mix rolling stock between the 2 gauges

"Mixed" on curves just like that, not "Mixed": https://i.imgur.com/yY8dghL.jpg ?

hey steve what would it take to make a fictional set of broad gauge stuff like pacifics mountains mikados that would make it fantastic to play with stuff like that but its just a idea and tbh it might not be great considering how long it would take but hey its still a fun idea

I also just noticed that while most of the stock's wheels are slightly above the track, the Waverley's are well above the rails. Nothing more than a visual thing though. Keep up the astounding work!

Great to see these beauties see the light of day once again! I noticed however, that there is no brake van for broad gauge, so it is hard to accurately simulate freight traffic. Any plans on adding one?

Awesome and thank you. Time to lock a map in 1870 and just go mental on broad gauge :)
APasz Jul 17, 2020 @ 11:34pm
Every single time I see one of these broad gauge mods, I always think of broad 1450-1676 not Brunel 2140.
Red Funnel Jul 17, 2020 @ 2:42pm
They look great too
Red Funnel Jul 17, 2020 @ 2:42pm
Full marks for effort!
paulsmith-1969 Jul 17, 2020 @ 2:13pm
Unfortunately, it did not work out for God's Wonderful Railway
Ghostboy5 Jul 17, 2020 @ 1:16pm
Sir IKB would be impressed, as am I. Terrific stuff Steve!
donoteat Jul 17, 2020 @ 10:51am
oh hell yeah
n.chiri Jul 17, 2020 @ 7:32am
I believe there shouldn't be year restrictions. Let people build their broad gauge railways in 2020 if they want. I'm sure it can be done with some fiddling in the files, but most people can't do that easily.
A Guy Called Pi Jul 17, 2020 @ 5:08am
It's a shame it's unavailable after 1892 because there may be people who want to use it for longer, at least fictionally. I'd have set it to 1925.
shaunus82 Jul 17, 2020 @ 4:40am
I think this mod will fit in perfectly with the real scale map of mid-Cornwall that I'm currently developing, so thank you very much for this.
Adult Helper Jul 17, 2020 @ 3:20am
I have no use for it in my late games, true. But thank you so much for putting it together! I will probably just have a beer and build a museum track ;-)
Antonio MS Jul 17, 2020 @ 12:48am
A very interesting contribution to the world of TF2. Thanks to you we can now recreate a wide-gauge network. Memory to the great British civil engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Thank you very much for sharing your work with the community. :steamhappy:
