I want the full version, even if as a DLC. Please Panic Roll!! Thats easy money!
RitsyReelz Mar 15, 2023 @ 2:47am
Hoping a full purchaseable version appears on TTS as DLC with scripting. Would love to play it as most of my board game contacts are long distance :)
F3RN Oct 29, 2022 @ 5:15pm
I'd buy on TTS but I don't see a way of buying it on here. I don't want to buy a irl copy because I have no irl friends to play with.
FizzMan Apr 8, 2022 @ 7:20pm
@ershua Oh yeah of course, there are plenty of new dungeon crawler games out there.
Just almost none, (outside of vagrantsong which is a very different game) that can compare to Townsfolk Tussle art style and pick up and go attitude.
It's the developers fault for not making any retail copies, I feel like this is a horrible practice that needs to get amended.
ershua Apr 6, 2022 @ 12:21am
@Man From The Fizz: Full KDM collection goes 1.5k max - playable realeased content so far. I know it as I own it. Same for TT - demand generates supply. Also I am not legal boy - ok? I know how internet works, how torrents works and all this jazz - I am using it too. But all I said was - you don't ask authors of the original to share it for free - that is what is laughable. Btw - when smbd don't want to pay 2000$ for Dark Souls - it's easier to look for Dark Souls like games. Same with the boss fight board games - more and more new games start to appear.
FizzMan Apr 5, 2022 @ 8:57pm
@ershua Have you seen how much the game goes for on BGG?
$200 X D. Absolutely fucking laughable.
Do you know also how much a full Kingdom Death Monster collection goes for?
thousands if not tens of thousands.
Now imagine if it Cost $2000 to play Dark Souls do you not think people would want alternatives to paying that much?
ershua Apr 3, 2022 @ 2:54pm
Anyway, t.me/ershua - I might have something.
ershua Apr 3, 2022 @ 2:47pm
@Prætorian because its mainly done by fans or enthusiasts, while you are literally asked authors of the real game to uploaded full new game here so you could play it for free.
Prt91 Apr 3, 2022 @ 6:32am
@ershua Why does TTS exist following your reasoning??
ershua Apr 2, 2022 @ 11:35am
@Prætorian - why would they do it :) you may buy full game instead.
Prt91 Mar 29, 2022 @ 12:51pm
Game is out, any plan for the complete version?
ScissorsPete Feb 23, 2022 @ 5:28pm
I have not had a chance to play this yet, but I love the scripting so far. Is there any chance you could script the player character setups?
FizzMan Jan 28, 2022 @ 12:18pm
Anyone have a cheap copy they're willing to sell?
Blasted Aug 17, 2021 @ 5:57pm
cool game, definitely is making me consider at pledging this
Mogwai  [author] Feb 12, 2021 @ 2:22pm
Hi @MASKOT -

Glad you like it! If a landscape setup includes squares marked FF1, FF2, etc., these are terrain pieces for that specific Ruffian's Final Fight. The setup section of the Final Fight will let you know what terrain pieces will fill those squares; details about that terrain will also be in the Final Fight information. Pepin's setup, for instance, says to place Giant Milk Jugs on the board (one for each townsfolk). If you were playing with three players, you'd place a Giant Milk Jug on FF1, FF2, and FF3.

Keep in mind these are only placed during the Final Fight. Enjoy! :)
MASKOT Feb 12, 2021 @ 9:06am
Thanks for the this great Demo! I have a question about rules. I have the card of Pepin Milkfrog and i can't understand what mean squares with FF1, FF2 etc. I mean i know these are terrains for the finale battle but what are these terrains?
nellisc Nov 15, 2020 @ 5:53pm
Can't wait for a scripted version. Want to play this with my friends but the long setup of terrain tiles would turn them off.
Aducan Oct 29, 2020 @ 6:24am
Hi! Any plans to update this to contain 100% of the content when the boardgame ships and "comes out" proper? (Adding the remaining Ruffians, the missing Townsfolk, and any missing items?) Or will that be something left to the community?

I've heard lots of good things about the game, looking forward to trying it out!
Mogwai  [author] Oct 22, 2020 @ 3:50pm
@Dr. President Noted, thanks for the feedback!
Dr. President Oct 22, 2020 @ 8:24am
Card text could be more consistent about when stat changes happen *for the rest of combat* or permanently

e.g., the blopsy twins' mind reader ability says "Lower your MVMT for the fight" while the dangerous ditch terrain card just says "Lose 1 MVMT". We assumed the ditch ability was just for the fight as well, but that begs the question of why the blopsy twins have different verbage
Dr. President Oct 20, 2020 @ 4:31pm
Boss cards should list which terrain cards you're going to need. Not sure if it's too late in graphic design process, but it would be a big quality of life improvement
fsecco Oct 20, 2020 @ 1:13pm
I want to test this with another 2 friends, but I noticed the Manual is still in the works. Am I able to learn the rules to play a full game by reading it? Or what's the best way to learn right now? Any good How to Play videos somewhere, etc?
superjedidude Oct 5, 2020 @ 10:15am
@Mogwai Thank you very much!
Mogwai  [author] Oct 2, 2020 @ 5:53pm
@superjedidude We'll see if we can squeeze them in :)
superjedidude Oct 2, 2020 @ 7:52am
Will the 2D cartoon character standees also be available for this demo? I really like their aesthetic.
Mogwai  [author] Sep 23, 2020 @ 7:31pm
@Jeffu Nope! You can't share Coins or trade gear :) You can, however, pool money together to reset the Peddler's shop.
Jeffu Sep 23, 2020 @ 4:31pm
Can Townsfolk pool money together for purchases? For instance if my buddy is two $ short for an item can i give him what he's short?
Mogwai  [author] Aug 29, 2020 @ 8:24am
@Tony Baloney That's great, glad you're enjoying it! We can't wait to show everyone the game in it's completion. You won't be disappointed!
Mr. Pee Pee Man Aug 29, 2020 @ 1:07am
i have to say this is one of my favorite games in the workshop, it's simple to learn while remaining very tactically dense. the bosses themselves are incredibly well designed both aesthetically and functionally but the terrain interaction really brings the fights to a new level. a big problem with a lot of these tabletop rpg fighting games is that they sometimes just devolve into a stand in one place and hit the bad guy but with this game each turn is a different experience which always keeps players on their toes.
i'm practically frothing at the mouth at the idea of owning a physical copy of this game, i can't wait until october when i get to back this kickstarter.
Kudikira Aug 10, 2020 @ 2:10am
@Mogwai Sick
Mogwai  [author] Aug 4, 2020 @ 7:46am
@Wasted_Ink Thanks so much, glad you like it! We'd love to have alternative layouts for all the Ruffians, definitely something on our to-do list. We'll see what we can do about the scripting as well :)
Kudikira Jul 29, 2020 @ 6:00pm
I love this game and the art style, and I wanted to ask if you guys planned on making alternate layouts for each boss? Also, do you plan on making any scripting for it? Still a fantastic game.
Mogwai  [author] Jul 24, 2020 @ 4:18pm
Oops, deleted my own comment! -

@Jesus Fetus -- That item definitely can't be utilized to its fullest in the demo version of the game; several other Ruffian fights include the Dense Woods in the full version. We might swap in a new Ruffian to resolve that :)
Desperoni Jul 23, 2020 @ 11:24pm
So, I just noticed an issue with Handsy's Comfy Carcass item - it negates the movement penalty when moving into the Dense Woods, but the Dense Woods only appear in Handsy's stage. In other words, its special effect is basically worthless.
Mogwai  [author] Jul 19, 2020 @ 6:50am
Hi @IWannaBeAPirate - Sorry for the confusion; the terrain can be found in the small bag located next to the terrain deck on the left side of the board. You should be able to search the bag for terrain, or drag the pieces out. Let us know if that works for you!
BoardGamePirate Jul 18, 2020 @ 12:29pm
Silly question, but when I load this in TTS, I don't seem to have any Terrain Tiles. Is my version bugged?

So far so good besides that. Mechanism is pretty sound and the setup is not overly complicated.

Mogwai  [author] Jul 15, 2020 @ 10:28am
@sirrliv No relation, same inspiration though--the vintage rubber hose style of old cartoons! :)
sirrliv Jul 15, 2020 @ 10:18am
Is there any relation between this and Cuphead? Because the artstyle is uncannily similar.
Mogwai  [author] Jul 12, 2020 @ 2:45pm
@AHeartSurgeon thanks for the feedback! We'll take a look at those card discrepancies and feats, definitely a good catch. Glad you enjoyed your playthrough! :)
DimsdaleDimadome Jul 12, 2020 @ 2:33pm
Just played through solo. Overall I love the art and unique take on a dungeon crawl game. I would prefer a full cooperative experience though, I could see how the semi-competitive nature of some aspects could be problematic especially with player elimination. Another issue I had was that some feats of mettle are extremely situational. Like some depend on terrain, some depend on items, and others I had no idea how to achieve. For the TTS version, the setup is kinda weird. There's items in the peddler's deck that are suppose to be only unlockable after beating the game but they're already mixed in with the deck of items. I also noticed a discrepancy on a couple of Ruffian's reward items. Umbrello's Springy Wand item is listed as Windy Wand on his ruffian card and Samuel's rock filled jacket item is listed as patchwork jacket on his ruffian card. Overall, a pretty entertaining and unique solo experience but I'm hesitant to try it with other players...
Mogwai  [author] Jul 12, 2020 @ 6:48am
@KineticOrpheus You are not able to trade gear by default. However, a certain piece of unlockable gear WILL allow players to trade freely, as well as certain Town Events. Thanks!
KineticOrpheus Jul 11, 2020 @ 7:57pm
Is trading between players aloud?
Cinderwild Jul 11, 2020 @ 4:57pm
Sent. Thanks!
Mogwai  [author] Jul 11, 2020 @ 4:51pm
@Cinderwild that would be great! Feel free to send any questions/feedback to panicrollgames@gmail.com. Thanks so much!
Cinderwild Jul 11, 2020 @ 4:48pm
Hey, I just finished reading the manual and have a lot of questions and clarifications I want to ask. They're varying degrees of pedantic but I think it would help you identify any ambiguity in your game. Where would be best for me to submit them?
Mogwai  [author] Jul 11, 2020 @ 4:40pm
@KineticOrpheus D10--they should be located near the bottom left of the board :)
KineticOrpheus Jul 11, 2020 @ 4:08pm
Where/What dice are suppose to be used?
Cinderwild Jul 11, 2020 @ 1:13pm
Thanks. I'll check it out.
Mogwai  [author] Jul 11, 2020 @ 1:05pm
@Cinderwild yes! We've added the info to the workshop description:

Is there a way to look at the rule book outside of the game?
