Sifrah doesn't change anything about the naming results. I noticed this mod suffers seriously from the same issue that plagues the main game... it lopsides heavy handily, for example, in one play through any weapon named pretty much always had dismember at 12%, pretty cool, but in another game it was always +1 or 2 to willpower or int and then +1 to damage or dice size increased 1 size. It's like when you're doing a play through and your play through either has Baetyls, or it has absolutely 0.

this would be so good if it didnt stop you from being able to reroll name selections by going back after selecting an option. :(

The description says to install this mod and Sifrah. Do you need this mod if you already have Sifrah? What changes if you have both instead?

This is just what the naming mechanic needed, imo. I used to name a bunch of things when I started playing but after a while you realize how hard it makes managing the inventory. Now I have a reason to name stuff aside from it being cool.

For some reason, whenever you name an item and successfully get special properties on it, IF YOU HAVE ELECTRICAL GENERATION, it will ALWAYS give you some amount of extra levels of electrical generation. NEVER any other mutation. It still gets other effects too, but it always gives a mutation, and that mutation is always electrical generation.

Ah, yeah, I see it. Line 1016 of World.RelicGenerator.cs says if (category == "Shield") when it needs to say if (category == "Shields"), in order to recognize the item properly as a shield and route it to the shield enhancements. If you drop that in the public bug tracker it'll probably get taken care of.

Yeah, that's what I was checking with. I had the Relic Chance changed in the Config to "Guaranteed" and the Buckler wasn't gaining any relic properties.

They should be able to; there's certainly code meant to assign them shield-specific properties. Maybe try using the "itemnaming" wish with shields/bucklers equipped to check.

Can Shields and Bucklers not gain special properties? I went and modified the config to make the chance guaranteed and even then, my Steel Buckler wasn't getting a relic property.

yes it seems to work fine in my experience. the bug that I mentioned earlier has been fixed, so you no longer need to do my change (unless you want the icon on the sharer skill)

purely cosmetic suggestion: I changed skills.xml lines 3 and 4, added the following attributes to both elements:

Tile="Abilities/sw_skill_customs_and_folklore.png" Foreground="y" Detail="B"

this fixes the missing icon for the Customs and Folklore skill category (this appears to be a qud bug, which I have reported in the discord), and adds the same icon to the Sharer skill (because I lack time and creativity to make a new one).

When an item gains a special name and dosen't gain a special quality. Can you gain another special name; so you can get the special effect?

Is there any way to manually rename a specific item (and not wish itemnaming), because I accidentally renamed a helmet to be called "Otherworldly Hood of Baanaaaaaaaaah, Goatfolk Village" and that is one long ass name.

Are there any settings to make the itemnaming event appear more frequently ? I would like to name more of my gear without using wish.

Just FYI, this mod can I guess select anything that can be worn/wielded, including trade items like nuggets and jewels. Just had an option to name a black opal, but naming it didn't seem to change it's value (although didn't get popup mentioning new values). Since trade goods have no stats to improve or any sort of linkage to relic powers, does naming trade goods do anything?

That will work. Also if you install Sifrah, as noted in the mod description, you'll always get a buff if you do well in the minigame.

Naming items don't seem to give any bonus stats, not a sample pool size problem cause i already try with name wish 50 items and all dont have bonus stat. Name bestowing dont give relic mod anymore?

Grants the player an opportunity to rename an item
You can simply wish itemnaming for the simplest version of this wish. kill and influence will treat the naming opportunity as if it was inspired by killing or having an interaction with the specified thing(s). For example, itemnaming:Madpole to name the item as if you just killed a Madpole, or itemnaming:Q Girl to name the item as if you were inspired by Q girl.

@whenwe.serbie.65: You never have an opportunity other than an opportunity for a specific item. There is no way in which it would ever "roll over" from one to another. Each item has a separate chance of eligibility. (Which is why you sometimes get the choice among more than one.) You are not losing anything you ever had.

love the mod to bits, i just have one very small request- can you make torches illegible to be randomly named? waiting several level-ups just for the pop-up to say "You swell with inspiration to name your torch!" was almost insulting.
