Report a translation problem
To answer a few of your questions:
1: I've done numerous tests to try to get Lucy and other entities to spawn instead of Rex but everything I have tried has caused the game to pwait, which leads us to believe that the gamemode lua looks for very specific model files (even the Lucy files renamed Rex aren't accepted.) If I can figure out some way to get Lucy to spawn successfully I may push it in a future update.
2. Keeping Rex from spawning until L3 will probably be the most probable nerf. I have tried putting a spawn timer in but because of the loop format it'll be immensely difficult at the very least to implement. Will do more testing when I find the time.
3. I like the Kill button idea, I'll look into this as well.
While testing this I had some additional thoughts I wanted to ask you about:
- Is it also possible to also spawn Lucy instead of Rex?
- Maybe bind Rex to level 3 since he is pretty OP during in early game?
- Or enable some sort of cooldown in between his spawns (say 60 seconds)?
- Also while playing I thought it might be useful to add a kill button to Rex in case a player needs him back at base asap
All in all, its an interesting idea and I was positively surprised to see this pop up. Nice work!
