one book for all would be a nice option to have for those who seek it, otherwise I'm loving the mods serv.

only issue is 1handed so far when read have to manually set the skill to 100 via console command or else it gives a exp boost and enchanting due to the green buff name
other then that its very well done.

I prefer to have only the alchemey, smithing and enchanting books, because those area a pain to level. However if you just want to fuck around all the books are good.

Do you think you could make 1 book to have all of these perkless books into one?
It would just be easier then having to subscribe to each individual mod. :steamhappy:

Read each individual "Perkless" Mod's Description. They each tell you, but they're all in Riverwood.

Dreaminway Sep 23, 2015 @ 1:43pm
Man if you want it easy just toss a books outside helgin and be done then. I highly doubt placing the books in relavent places would be 'confusing'. Shoot theres powerful wepon mods that have you go to such places to get them. It's rather well liked as it makes them less cheaty and more true to perpose.

Plus like said they don't have to be quest tied. Throw a book in a hidden chest near the outside to the dark brotherehood. have one laying out in the wiold my the alch shack, place a book in the riften sewers. none of these are quest tied, it's just a matter of running to the area.

Though it be cool if some of them were, if only the 'intro' or just whatever means gets you inside the place. I do that right off before even going to riverwood in some of my paythroughs.

@Iron Block Games, I think I'll stick with a dungeon as I've promised people that along with a single book, a sword, a boss and dragon priest mask. I'd like to keep the book fairly easy to get to and putting it in places which require quests to get to would be too confusing for some and others just want to max their skills quickly to mess around. Changing too much will mean I'll need to redo everything, which I don't really want to do and I don't have time to do.
Dreaminway Sep 22, 2015 @ 4:52pm
Or just not do the dungeon as I said. Place the books into areas that are relavent. You play a thief/assassion, you'll likely be joining the dark brotherhook and thives guild. Place the books for them in or around them.

"Yes I am wanting to become a thief, join thives guild. Oh look a book on lock picking... I now know everything I need."

Just, keep the books apart, and place them somewhere that is relavent. Like say the alchament shack for alchame (or near it sense some mods edit it to be liveable) . Smithing near say the sky forge etc. That way we can pick up what we want, sounds silly that thered be a single book for everything.

There is nothing bad ebough having more then one book. My character may be a thief but he is also a book worm, picking up every book he can find to add to his collection. Plus if people don't want to carry around the books, they can just drop em and leave.

SERV3  [author] Sep 22, 2015 @ 2:38pm
Good point. I need to redo the dungeon as it's a bit too linear anyway so I could make separate paths to get different skills (e.g. stealthy path for archery) or unlock sections of the main book. The single book will have a menu system so you can choose which skills you'd like, if not all of them. I'd like to keep a single book though to save the player carrying around several books.

I could place the dungeon entrance somewhere harder to get to (possibly around Markarth) which the player wouldn't normally come across in early game as I agree this compilation would seem too OP if the book is easy to get.
Dreaminway Sep 22, 2015 @ 11:59am
Do me a fav. Please don't plop it near the start. So many mods plop everything near or by riverwood. From player homes to cheat items ti quests. I know lot of people place them there as that's where you start and its 'easy'... but I much rather have you need to work to getting them. If you want something OP damn well work for it.

I really also don't want an all in one book. If I'm making an archer, only the archery and light armor books be fine.. or a thief sneaking, lock picking, pick picketing.. Thus why I said maybe make it like a tresure hunt. Chests hidden in the brush, or on dead boldys that someone may have tried to rob but later died of the wounds.

Yes these are cheat mods, but why can't you have a little fun with it? 'you want to stealth? find the hidden chest by the dark brotherhood' or maybe IN the dark brotherhood. Dump them some place relavent to what you want to do.

SERV3  [author] Sep 22, 2015 @ 11:33am
@Iron Block Games, I'm working on a compilation mod which contains all of these books as one and will have its own dungeon with a boss, perhaps with an entrance in Riverwood which isn't obscured by common city edit mods. This will solve problems with city edit mods. I have considered moving them out of Riverwood, but I originally placed them there as it's one of the first places you go to so they will be quick to find.

P.S. If you're unable to find the other books, try adding them to your player's inventory with the console.
Dreaminway Sep 21, 2015 @ 3:29pm
May I make a suggestion? Could you perhaps move them out of a city? I ask as I do use a city edit mod that changes up and add's too all the towns and thus, some of the books can't be gotten. Only one I found was the archery book as that house and barrels is largely unchanged.

Maybe also you could scatter them around a bit, and not have them only in Riverwood? Like maybe there's a dead body stashed in the bushes and he has a book on him. Or in a chest mostly barried in the ground as if someones trying to hide these books.

Just so it makes it a little more fun to try and find these thing's, and town mods don't conflict.
SERV3  [author] Sep 17, 2015 @ 2:18pm
@MrFerax, try verifying your game files (Right click in library -> Properties -> Local files -> Verify...) then launch the game and let the launcher synchronise.
Ferax Sep 16, 2015 @ 3:20pm
@SERV3 Yeah they aren't there. Workshop must have an issue or something wiht my skyrim.
SERV3  [author] Sep 15, 2015 @ 10:34am
@MrFerax, that's strange. Can you see the mod files (called Perkless...) in the Skyrim\Data folder. If it's not there the workshop isn't working so I'll need to send you the files. If the files are there then make sure they are enabled (ticked) in the 'data files' window.

@[SS|O]NetworkerChris, There is a smithing book. It's called Perkless Crafting (at the top of this collection).
Pope The Majestic Sep 14, 2015 @ 4:09pm
Willl there be a smithing book as well?
Ferax Sep 14, 2015 @ 3:36pm
@SERV3 yeah it says it is completed and finished synchronising and it still doesnt work
SERV3  [author] Sep 14, 2015 @ 10:04am
@MrFerax, the mods may not be downloaded properly. You may need to wait for the launcher to say 'Finished Synchronising Subscribed Mods' before you press play to ensure it has been downloaded.
Ferax Sep 13, 2015 @ 6:05pm
im subscribed to all of them but it doesnt show up in my data files and in game either
