as for the nogai thing. we'll see but as of now we can't even update the mod to work with the latest version because we are both very busy with our real life problems.
They arrived in Dagestan after a series of unfortunate events. In EU4 they start out in the steppes east of Astrakhan, which is historically accurate. They allied themselves to the Crimeans and, together, they raided the Russians and Polish-Lithuanians to their north. After the Kalmyks invaded their homeland, most Nogais fled to Crimea where they were welcomed by their brothers. They settled north of Kuban and in Yedisan. When the Russians came knocking and invaded Crimea, they were forced to flee again. Many fled into Bessarabia/Dobruja and to Anatolia where the Ottomans took them as refugees. Others fled east back into the steppes. And some went south into the Caucasus, settling in Dagestan (basically only the province of Tumen in your mod.)
So basically after the Russians conquer the Crimeans, you could set an event to fire in which Nogai refugees flee into Dagestan where they settle with the Kumyks.
I teamed up with Molox and we'll together integrate our mods to make the ultimate Caucasus mod
and maybe add Flanking bonus too.
They were arguably the best horsemen in the world. The non-modded 5% was an insult.
You can use "Kabardian Noble Cavalry". But I do think Seshkue idea is cool too.
Sure, I'd love to give you some feedback!
Also, this mod is still very W.I.P. I don't quite know the balancing of these things, so it would be great if you could let me know if these ideas are too strong.
Also, I know a bit about idea modding, what can I help you with? :)
If your question is in regard to the icons for national ideas: they are normally based upon the modifiers that they are connected to. To change those modifiers, you have to go into your eu4 install directory, then open common\ideas\00_country_ideas, and go to the CIR tag, and then you're free to do what you like.
