Oh ok. I wasn't sure how similar Circassians and Ubykhs were. Well good luck on the mod and in life my friend
Patlichan  [author] Aug 18, 2021 @ 1:24pm
As Ubykh is too similar to Circassian and Abasgi cultures and would be a single province culture it has not been added as seperate culture and has been integrated into Circassians. Ubykhs in history were very well integrated in Circassian society and the last president of Circassia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qerandiqo_Berzeg) was an Ubykh. Vast majority Ubykhs today consider themselves as a Circassian tribe anyways.

as for the nogai thing. we'll see but as of now we can't even update the mod to work with the latest version because we are both very busy with our real life problems.
Venboven Aug 18, 2021 @ 10:57am
oh, also, one more thing: Could you add the Ubykh language? (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubykh_language) It was a language in the Northwest Caucasus family similar to Circassian and Abkhazian. The Ubykh people lived along the coast around Sochi, and governed themselves as a council representing 13 noble families. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubykhia

You should add an event for the arrival of the Nogai tribes!

They arrived in Dagestan after a series of unfortunate events. In EU4 they start out in the steppes east of Astrakhan, which is historically accurate. They allied themselves to the Crimeans and, together, they raided the Russians and Polish-Lithuanians to their north. After the Kalmyks invaded their homeland, most Nogais fled to Crimea where they were welcomed by their brothers. They settled north of Kuban and in Yedisan. When the Russians came knocking and invaded Crimea, they were forced to flee again. Many fled into Bessarabia/Dobruja and to Anatolia where the Ottomans took them as refugees. Others fled east back into the steppes. And some went south into the Caucasus, settling in Dagestan (basically only the province of Tumen in your mod.)

So basically after the Russians conquer the Crimeans, you could set an event to fire in which Nogai refugees flee into Dagestan where they settle with the Kumyks.

I feel this should be mentioned: The mod is being worked on and updated live. Some fundamental changes are being made, so you might encounter minor errors and inconsistencies.

Announcement:

I teamed up with Molox and we'll together integrate our mods to make the ultimate Caucasus mod :gauntlet_ww:

Thank you for your kind comment
Drimokeo Aug 7, 2020 @ 10:29pm
Also just to clarify I'm talking about base game lacking content; definitely not the mod
Drimokeo Aug 7, 2020 @ 6:27pm
Very cool mod! Circassia and the neighborhood is woefully lacking in content and flavor atm (apart from having worse cavalry combat ability than the default Caucasian ideas for some reason). Can't wait to see what comes next!
Patlichan  [author] Aug 4, 2020 @ 5:10am
Thanks for the awards guys i appreciate them a lot
Patlichan  [author] Jun 28, 2020 @ 1:53pm
Totally agreed, I already made it %20 and was honestly thinking of %25. %5 is just a plain insult. Irl Circassia defeated Crimea countless times, but in vanilla, it gets instantly rekt.
Circassian Exile Jun 28, 2020 @ 1:16pm
Make the cavalry ability bonus for Circassia: 25-35% imo:
and maybe add Flanking bonus too.
They were arguably the best horsemen in the world. The non-modded 5% was an insult.
You can use "Kabardian Noble Cavalry". But I do think Seshkue idea is cool too.

This is so cool, and adds depth to a severely overlooked region in EU4! Great job - looking forward to more

lol was wondering why they never really made it unique as it clearly deserves to be. I wish a few good months ago as I was playing them this would have been a thing. It's a work in depth done here for sure, with balance I only might add that it shouldn't be that strong at start but rather have good rewards given through missions/events related to Circassia. Good work what else can be said :D
FinePhenomena May 24, 2020 @ 11:17am
No problem at all!
Sure, I'd love to give you some feedback!
✪ shrood May 24, 2020 @ 9:31am
As a Circassian this mod made me really happy. I hope you can improve it to the best:)
Patlichan  [author] May 23, 2020 @ 1:02pm
Hey thanks for that!

Also, this mod is still very W.I.P. I don't quite know the balancing of these things, so it would be great if you could let me know if these ideas are too strong.
FinePhenomena May 23, 2020 @ 10:38am
This is fantastic, and long awaited, too!

Also, I know a bit about idea modding, what can I help you with? :)
If your question is in regard to the icons for national ideas: they are normally based upon the modifiers that they are connected to. To change those modifiers, you have to go into your eu4 install directory, then open common\ideas\00_country_ideas, and go to the CIR tag, and then you're free to do what you like.

Не к чему придраться,мод сделан прям хорошо. :goodidea:
