so as far as i can tell, anything in source.
you should treat 1 unit as 0.75 inch if its on desktop, otherwise everything will look super small.
if its vr you should treat 1 unit and 1 inch, (the desktop stuff looks super big in vr)

it just sucks

Saw this today and I wanna ask. So where exactly is the player's camera placed if we're Gordon Freeman? Is it accurately placed on where his eyes are or maybe somewhere close to his eyes?

Can you give me link to that viedo on youtube where you showing the difference in HL:Alyx? I can't find it and scale really interests me.

oh yeah source 2 is 100% 1:1 for sure. I just uploaded a video on my youtube showing the difference in hlalyx. Another video coming soon about gmod vr scale. but it is really clear source 1 should be treated as .75 due to how the artists designed everything. Internal engine 'calculations' make no difference in the actual game world. In gmod VR I spawn in a PHX 1x2 plate that is almost 6feet long and scale my height to be around there, that makes maps feel the correct size for me. Obviously if you are 4.5' IRL you dont need to make yourself taller in gmod haha

The page should stay at 1 = 0.75. The actual scale is technically 1 = 1, but scale is about what feels right. 1 = 0.75 feels a lot better than 1 = 1 in non-VR. In VR though, you need 1 = 1. It's not Source 1 vs Source 2, it's non-VR vs VR. (Try gmod VR and HLA non-VR)

But what does this mean? What's all of it in centimeters?
