You can do that by yourself. By default, the axis of the triangulation are x and y (horizontal on a map).

If you put e.g. the y antenna 10 blocks above the center antenna (instead of 10 blocks in front of the antenna), then your "x" value is now the altitude value, while your "y" value is still the horizontal distance.

ok thank you. i just spaced them out my 3m and they are working better. I know you dont play SW much anymore (from lua site) but could you possibly make a version that also tells you the altitude of the target also? that would be nice if could be done

Be aware of floating point limits.
If you use huge antennas, the distance between the receiving antennas should be a bit larger, and if the sender antenna is too close (bunch of meters) it will show the distance as zero.

anyone else having trouble getting this to work with any other size of antennas? i change them to the huge and they wont send distance or it wont let me change the frequency

In case you tried this with video antennas, and IT DID NOT WORK:

please increase the spacing between the 3 receiver antennas (the game cannot handle such low numbers)

Slash0mega, i tried to make a system to triangulate beacons. but the frequency of their pulses are not variable what so ever. they switch frequency every like 100 meters if i have to guess. wouldnt be possible. antennas on the other hand, a very accurate signal level. thanks so much pony for making this. ill be sure to use it.

oh wait, i think this is somthing else than what i need, i was trying to triangulate beacons, but i think this just triangulates user built antana.
