to improve the map you could add pre-spawned NCP's such as citizens or police through the town. However, be careful if you do this make sure the map doesn't get laggy.

How would I improve this map?

First I would remove all physic props and entitys (Like the weapons in the garage).

Next I would optimize the map, I can run this map on max settings at under 20 fps.

I would also add more combine tech to this map and a darker skybox texture or cloud layer

Other than that it's a great map and i hope it will improve at a later date.

I have a GTX 950, and this still gives me lag. Not as bad as my last card, but still.
I doubt you care at all, or if your that map maker, but why the hell does this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing lag?

Isn't this also based on the old HL2DM rp map rp_city17_031? I noticed a lot of sections were borrowed from that map, not that it matters since the creator has vanished. Very nice map though, kinda nice to see a classic map during the day.

I have a high-end gaming PC and I was getting ~15 FPS all around the map. It really needs optimizations.

Thanks for the feedback! i'll look into more enterable buildings.

I notice a large FPS drop when I look at the middle of the Town, there's an archway connecting two buildings together in front or near the trainstation, it leads to nothing except a wall, I think you should allow that one building to be enterable, other than that from my personal experience. I think this would be an excellent HL2-RP Map/Sandbox.

I'll test it and give you a review as soon as possible.
