Thanks For the input update

This mod does not affect her appearance. The images above use Bella's Better Female Faces ( http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=2812 ) and Caliente's CBBE body mod ( http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=2666 ).
knightowl1142 Jan 4, 2014 @ 9:52pm
I like the mod could you possibly give her longer hair? Thanks
Arod Snaux  [author] Sep 4, 2013 @ 9:15pm
She has all of the "married" conversations that a female dark elf has... which is to say not many.
♡ snuff puppy ♡ Sep 4, 2013 @ 3:12pm
Oh... Okay...
But can you at least make her talk like we're actually married? Because I really did just get Hearthfire right now. Like, about an hour ago. I don't want some sort of a disfunctional family.

"Mommy, why do you call Daddy "Guardian?"

"Because that's what he is, honey."

"But you're married Mommy! I thought married people called eacho-"

"SHUT THE OBLIVION UP YOU LITTLE SKEEVER DROPPING."
Arod Snaux  [author] Sep 3, 2013 @ 7:27pm
The nudity issue with her isn't related to this mod - I've seen it happen even when this mod is off ( I use AFT now rather than this mod, which was my first mod).

Aranea wears a custom outfit and has always had clothing issues, although the situation seems to have gotten worse in the last few skyrim patches.
♡ snuff puppy ♡ Sep 3, 2013 @ 4:02pm
So, we got married, and we moved to Breezehome, but whenever I go home after a long day of brutally murdering the last of the dragon race, she's in her underwear. I tell her to put some clothes on because I brought a guest home, but when I leave and come back, she's naked again. I took away the marraige clothe to see if that helped, but, alas, she still lacks common decency.
Also, since we're married now, "guardian" gets annoying after awhile. I'M YOUR HUSBAND. NOT JUST SOME HERO OF A DAEDRIC LORD. Gawsh. Anyway, could you make her talk to me like she actually loves me, because it's really putting a damper on things. What will my children think if I ever get Hearthfire? Just a bug and suggestion. And some extra random nonsense.
DemmieRepkin May 9, 2013 @ 7:01am
ok
Arod Snaux  [author] May 9, 2013 @ 12:23am
It should, unless that mod only works for specific npcs.
DemmieRepkin May 8, 2013 @ 8:49pm
well i serve the daedric lords but i'm more of a hermaus mora type of guy than azura well it depends is this mod combatible with marriage mod to have and to hold
Arod Snaux  [author] Mar 24, 2013 @ 1:10pm
Killer Keo rings a bell, pretty sure that's the one. Although my new favorite female armor is the Shredded Triss set which you can see in the screenshots of the flying Broomstick mod... it's what the Wicked Witch of the West would have worn if she had Angelina Jolie's body.
Daedra Guy Mar 24, 2013 @ 8:24am
i think the glass armour is called Skimpy Glass Armour Using CBBE, its by Killer Keo
Arod Snaux  [author] Mar 20, 2013 @ 9:25pm
Doh! that was the one. I just think of it as AFT.

I've used both UFO and AFT and found AFT to be far more stable. the few things UFO does that AFT doesnt do can be managed by other mods.
Moist and Scugpilled Mar 20, 2013 @ 7:33pm
Huh. Very interesting!
Also, I couldn't find a mod called Advanced Follower Tweaks, but I found Amazing Follower Tweaks and its definitely amazing. Is that the mod you were talking about?
Arod Snaux  [author] Mar 20, 2013 @ 5:33pm
Yeah actually any headslot item that has an AC of 3 or higher will work... I usually give her a steel circlet or small crown. She'll put it on and get naked, and after that you can put anything else on her you want.
Moist and Scugpilled Mar 20, 2013 @ 1:09am
Ah, okay. And about the clothing glitch, I accidentally found an ingame fix for that.
Just... Give her a dwarven helmet. It sounds weird but it works. Give her a dwarven helmet to cuddle and she'll wear anything you want her to (Head items have to be superior to the helmet of course).
Anyway, thanks for the advice. :)
CmdrCritic Mar 20, 2013 @ 12:50am
ok thanks anyway
Arod Snaux  [author] Mar 19, 2013 @ 6:32pm
@Issac Ursaga: sounds like a conflict to me. You might be better off uninstalling my mod and using the console commands above to add her to the marriage faction, which is really all this mod does.

As for changing her level, the best way is to install either UFO or AFT (Advanced Follower Tweaks). UFO is more popular, but I find AFT to be more stable and a little more intuitive, especially when it comes to Aranea, due to her clothing glitch.

@Ricardo: No clue... walking backwards isn't the Radiant bug, I've never even seen it before. Maybe it was some other mod you installed?

@Daedra guy: ugh its been too long but I'm pretty sure it's from the CBBE Skimpy Armor pack from Nexus. If you go to the CBBE page I think he has a list of armor mods there, it would be the vanilla armor replacement.
Moist and Scugpilled Mar 19, 2013 @ 9:23am
For some odd reason, after installing this mod and loading a save where I've had Aranea with me for quite a while, none of the changes seemed to have taken effect (I'd changed her essential setting through the console months ago). Is there any way to change her level to the appropriate one with the console, or some kind of fix?
CmdrCritic Mar 7, 2013 @ 7:24am
may be totally unrelated but I had one of my characters marry Ysolda and something happened that I have been dying to get cleared up, what happend was she kept walking backwards after I saved her from bandits and would keep walking into things or away from me when I started talking to her. Could someone please tell me what happened here becuase I don't have a clue and would like to know whether or not its connected to this radient AI bug or not.
Daedra Guy Mar 2, 2013 @ 3:24am
How do I get that glass armour in the screenshot
Arod Snaux  [author] Feb 25, 2013 @ 10:50am
The whole marriage system is bugged and sometimes you simply cannot marry a person... but here's a checklist just in case.

1) Drop any Amulets of Mara you currently possess in a chest.

2) Go to Riften and buy an amulet from Maramal (he's usually in the pub). If you've already bought one from him, go back and grab it from your chest. This is essential, since buying the amulet from him is what activates marriage.

3) Put that Amulet on. Even if you have it on already, take it off and put it on again, it's a skyrim bug that sometime forgets you have it on.

4) Tap ~ to enter the console, and click on Aranea - you should see a hex code for her appear in the middle top of the console area, indicating she's selected.

5) Type "addfac 19809 1" followed by the ESC key and try talking to her. At this point she should comment on it.

Arod Snaux  [author] Feb 25, 2013 @ 10:38am
Ok I'll try to explain the basic clothing problem first. Aranea has a unique robe and for some reason she REALLY likes to wear it. The core problem with her is that it's a hooded robe, and Skyrim thinks she's wearing a hat. In addition to the marriage thing, this mod attempts to fix that bug.

To dress her when she's a companion, you need to give her your armor - it MUST have an AC higher than 10 (I think) and THEN give her a helmet or circlet that has a high armor class - as high as possible. Then she'll take off her robe, get cold, and put ont he other armor.

She's the only follower than seems to have this issue.

This bug can also be fixed if you install Amazing Follower Tweaks (which I recommend over UFO), because you can force her to wear anything.

Bronthwill Feb 24, 2013 @ 9:02pm
so what do i do if i have already completed the quest and she will not marry me? I dont quit understand from what you wrote in the description. Love the mod bro, i have been so annoyed with aranea not using the items that i gave her, now she can so thx bro good mod.
Arod Snaux  [author] Dec 10, 2012 @ 6:47pm
@ fleetcenturion: Not possible. All this mod does is add her to the marriage faction. It will not affect followers in any way, except for the afore mentioned bug where she refuses to put on her new outfit.

Most likely you have not finished the questline in her favor (ending with the White Star, not black), or you have another mod which jacks up followers (there are several).

Worst case, download Amazing Follower Tweaks and use that. It allows you to make anyone a follower, even children and quest PCs.
fleetcenturion Dec 10, 2012 @ 1:19pm
She will not follow me, and neither will any other follower I try and recruit. I think your mod bugged the follower function.
Arod Snaux  [author] Nov 15, 2012 @ 5:40pm
Seems to be a bug in 1.6 and later... I'll look into a fix.
Chosen Mimes Nov 15, 2012 @ 12:28pm
I too have the problem that when she isn't following me she unequip all her clothes.
Arod Snaux  [author] Sep 21, 2012 @ 5:51pm
It's likely a conflict with another mod, or you might also have a Stone sign chosen that blocks the bonus, such as the Lover's stone (there's two others at least, but i dont recall which ones they are).
Bananarchy Sep 21, 2012 @ 5:23pm
I am married with her and I don't get the 15% when I sleep.
Also, when she's not following me, she just unequip all her clothes / armor.
Arod Snaux  [author] Sep 10, 2012 @ 5:01pm
She can be found at the Shrine of Azura, on top of the tallest mountain slightly south of Winterhold. Follow the path leading south from winterhold until you find a broad swath between two mountains on your right; walk up between them (there's often a troll), and walk 3/4 of the way around the base of the mountain to the south, looking for a way up to its peak.

Keep your eyes peeled for the shrine marker or Azura's statue on the mountiantop, which is the largest statue in Skyrim. In addition to trolls, the path takes you near several special encounter spawns and the hunting area of a nearby dragon.
Exterminator Sep 10, 2012 @ 11:50am
where do I find her

Arod Snaux  [author] Aug 11, 2012 @ 11:48pm
Looks like a small issue with 1.7, the poor girl is naked! I'll look into a fix before she gets a little too perky...
Jack b Nimble Jul 22, 2012 @ 3:58pm
ah thnk you no more console commands to make this work
Arod Snaux  [author] Jul 7, 2012 @ 11:42pm
@akuholy: I believe it has to be a bed owned by you or your spouse for the comfort effect to kick in. There are also several powers and abilities which, when present, replace the buff... I know one of the standing stones does this, for instance. I know for sure however that its not this mod preenting the buff, as it works for me and other users of it.

As I've mentioned several times, the entire marriage system is and always has been buggy as hell. I suspect it was a last-minute thing they hacked together to up sales hype and never really tested well.
akuholy Jul 7, 2012 @ 9:20am
I've married aranea, but i do not recieve the "lovers comfort" bonus after sleeping in a bed when she is present, only "well rested".
Chocolate Goose Jun 15, 2012 @ 1:31am
ty :)
Arod Snaux  [author] Jun 15, 2012 @ 12:24am
This is a known bug with all NPCs in the marriage faction - sometimes they just vanish after the wedding scene. It may also be related to the 1.6 patch, which apparently is causing many more bugs in the game than it fixes.

All I can suggest is to load a save game prior to the wedding and try again.
Chocolate Goose Jun 14, 2012 @ 1:00am
I married her and after the wedding she dissapeared :( not back at azura's tower or anything ;_;
Arod Snaux  [author] Jun 13, 2012 @ 11:18pm
Not if you make the black star. I think she only grunts at you if you do.
cambe89 Jun 6, 2012 @ 1:15pm
thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!i can finally marry aranea!
SquishyMage May 31, 2012 @ 2:28pm
can you still marry her if you make the black star?
Arod Snaux  [author] May 6, 2012 @ 6:59pm
Yeah, I always seem to end up using her as a companion. Tanks get in the way, and the only other mage with strong offense is Mercurio, who spams chain lightning... not too good of an idea if you are fighting a dragon near a town.
KaitlyneV May 5, 2012 @ 4:17am
First comment on Steam and just wanted to say, I've liked this NPC since I met her and now I can have her all to myself. *rubs hands together* All for Silous.
TheGreenman Apr 18, 2012 @ 8:16pm
@ Snaux
Oh no complaints here about her being nude... I had a custom mage clothing mod set up for when I got her as a companion anyways. We've been kicking ass and taking names since I finished the black star quest.
Arod Snaux  [author] Apr 18, 2012 @ 2:05pm
I posted a version last night that includes a reference to update 1.5 and reasserts that she is marriagable. Try launching the game and make sure my new version loads before you hit Play. If that still doesn't work, see if she is carrying a wedding dress and 2 blue robes. If she's not, then some other addon is overwriting my mod, and you may need to adjust mod load order. Ive seen that happen with "Folllower fix Lite".

If all else fails, open the console, click on her, and type "addfac 19809 1", then talk to her. That's absolute brute-force to add her to the marriage faction. If THAT still fails, then there's nothing you can do until Bethesda fixes their bug.

I feel your pain, I'm currently having the same issue with Mjoll, even though I've done her quest and all the right steps, she still wont ask me to marry her. Beth broke something in the last patch - they fixed this same bug with Lydia, but now it's popping up in all the other NPCs.
