I think the behavior will be much better if you use this official TTS hotseat mode than anything I might hack together. Of course, if there is a reason to want to avoid that mode that I'm not aware of, just let me know!
Also - officially backed!! Had a great time playing this with more friends today
I have a quick question - I see there is a 5th player in a bag but I'm not 100% sure how to play with the 5th player? Do I just create a hand and set it up and play without the scripting? (That's fine by me!! I just wanted to check if I was missing something...)
Again - this is awesome and I've really enjoyed it so far. 99% likely I will back the game in the next couple days...
When you start up TTS, you host a game (solo, multiplayer, doesn't matter). It will ask you to pick a game, and you may see Distilled in the "Workshop" row. If not, you need to click on Workshop and look at the other things you've subscribed to. It should load the set-up and ask you how you want to play. There are two rule books on the virtual table to help you learn to play the game.
Hope this helps!
Thanks!
1. It needs to be 3 total sugars. As long as there is a grape in there (and 2 more fruit, in the case of Brandy Cognac) you are good.
2. Good question. On the last page of the rule book, it talks about how you can claim multiple solo goals. It depends on the type of goal. For instance, you could sell a Cognac, and get a goal, and then also claim a goal for earning a certain # of points or $ in a round, and that previous cognac could count towards that. Remember, once you claim a goal in a row, you CANNOT go back down - your barrel moves up to that row and leaves others behind.
3. If you mean that you'd move a facedown goal to be above a completed goal, then yes, you'd flip that new one. Thanks!
Did notice a save game glitch, the Recipe cubes don't save on the recipe card. Other than that had fun! Seriously considering backing on KS.
1. For signature recipes, ex. VS Cognac in my session; what would be the minimum sugar count to be valid? it says 2+ Fruit, AND 1+ Grapes. As long as one of the sugars is Grapes, is the minimum valid count 2 or 3 total sugars?
2. In Solo, following goal rules, is it possible to claim a large number of goals in one round, or is there some per round limit I missed?
Theorycrafting example: in a single round chain starting row1; claim Distill aged, Sell 8+sp, Earn 8+sp (into row2), Earn $8+, Collect 2 diff labels (and onward into row3?)
3. In Solo, if you use the Goal Swap on a completed goal, would this reveal any cards above it at its new location?
Otherwise, great work, on the game itself and the scripting thereof~ Additional Solo setup scripting would be welcomed after character select, for the goal board (removing regions, shuffling then spreading cards).
