I've beaten the official campaign and other custom maps like the whole Rush Rush series, but they're a bit of a different format. I like to be able to build out my base and kind of establish a defensive line while scouting/clearing, but some maps in this campaign kinda force you to play a different style and it seems too difficult to actually get ahead of the curve sometimes, at least for me. I've put hundreds of hours in before trying out these maps so that's probably why its more difficult for me to change up my playstyle.

I do think this campaign is overall significantly better than the official one, so thank you for all your hard work and I did really have fun with it overall. The story is actually really interesting. Luckily I could just watch Kensei play the maps I couldn't beat so I could keep up with the story.

Sorry to hear you struggled with the difficulty. It is hard to cater for 100% of players. Not sure how far you've made it with survival mode and the official campaign, but TAB is inherently hard and the game design is the enjoyment of learning from mistakes and doing better the next time, but it’s not for everyone. If I ever come back to map making in TAB I’ll look to add an even easier difficulty for those looking to just follow the story. Thank you for playing and the feedback.

Too hard for a novice player, even with calling in the extra titans. Waves just get too big too fast and i'm stuck spend too many resources defending instead of clearing the map. Made it to the "final wave", which is obviously not meant to be beatable. Probably not gonna try again since that took a super long time and honestly wasn't really enjoyable for me since I kinda knew I wasn't getting anywhere. If you come back to making maps, try to make the "easy" mode a little easier, this is like the 4th mission I've had to skip because of difficulty.

2023年6月11日,等你跟新30年前,已经等了很久了。个人建议,可以把游戏原剧情模式里面的英雄模式,加入进来,这样游戏不会那么枯燥,还可以加一些其他游戏模式,如果要是一直都是发育造兵守家,玩多了就比较枯燥了。:steamhappy:

Wow, "boolean" variables actually store a string instead of a boolian. That information is just a little bit important!

@ramboing - it's all to do with custom variables (CV). So I've named the morale CV as "MC", which you choose at the start of the map. Then certain events only trigger if MC > X. It's the same for all the other variables. So some menu's only show based on certain decisions which will execute a change to each custom variable. You can also have formula that can change CV such as the biosphere energy which I called "bio1" and this can be inserted into text like so: {bio1}

You can also have Boolean custom variables. For example the train system I created does this. For example for the car1C custom variable I created it starts as "Wood" but if the user selects Stone then it changes the CV to "Stone" which can be inserted into text as {car1C}

Like I said the last map has 100's of scripts so it's a bit of a spider web once you've been away a while. I might get time in a couple of weeks to do a video if that helps.

@ramboing - I'm pretty sure the energy cost to repair the biosphere is Day# x Difficulty, where easy = 1, medium = 2 and hard = 3. So on day 6 on easy it will be 6 x 1 = 6 energy. On day 18 on hard it will be 18 x 3 = 54. I know it's harsh, but it's the last map and well some people are just too good at the game! But hopefully there is a difficulty you can manage to enjoy.

And yes there are about 100 custom variables and a lot of buttons and menu trees. Which is why it's hard to dig back in after years away to see how I did something :D


@2154099p - the 3rd campaign is not currently being worked on. If the main game developers return to fix some bugs and release the final assets to the editor then I will return.

Like for the morale one, you can just set the button text to "Morale is currently {Morale}", but the other button texts are more complicated and your variables can only be numbers.

A more important question POBmaestro if you're still around: When making the opening setup window, did you have to make buttons for every possible combination of options? How did you get the button text to reflect the current choice for every option?

@ramboing I am still around (just). From memory it's 6d 12h +/- 12h. Best bet is to just leave Mccauley at the console so he's not in harms way. Hope you got on alright.

I don't know if you're still around, but I'm curious what the triggers for the biosphere are exactly. I just had it ask for energy and there was no way to get back to the console in time, so I restarted, vowing to be at the console at 6d 16h. But the next time, it happened at 6d 6h.

头被打炸了……简单的难度比去年高了一个大档次,不过,总的来说作者还是辛苦了,毕竟这只是一系列自定义战役,无法兼顾各个难度是没办法的事情
回到游戏,虽然和去年相比多了敕令,贸易,火车等能力强化,但地图的角度上去年那样出生地附近只有一两个口需要防守的“绝对安全区”少了许多(点名批评主权之国,一不注意就漏了一个可能进怪的口子)
后面的19,20章看的出来作者想要整点花样更多的高级功能,但是编辑器的支持不是很理想
属实被游戏本体限制了(再说一次
啊,虽然感觉还有挺多话想说,但我已经被主权之国打的菠萝菠萝了 只有今在昔在那样的单口超大可建区能治愈我

全通最高难度(除了主权国)整个系列难度都不大..同样最高难度,主权国比最后一章难太多太多。
终于全通了最高难度,剧情还行,作图很棒,尸潮压迫感很到位。作者很喜欢在这种源源不断的僵尸潮。赦令有些问题,有些图开局不拿石油兵简直打不了,民心也不好涨。有些图资源短缺严重(食物,石头,铁)。易货系统太Imba了我喜欢,可惜后面几个图都没了0.0。最后感谢作者、翻译、配音等其他大佬让我玩到了十分精彩的游戏

Thank you very much. I just finished playing your campains 28 and 29 years later. I believe you done the best job this game could wish for. So much better then the games campain. I love it. Good story and challenging maps. A must for every gamer.... :D

I really like how you improved the level design over time, lots of details all over the place to give each area character. While i also like how the devs designed their maps, their mission design was rather dull. This is really how i wish the campaign would be. can't wait to see what you can do when the map editor update hits, if you are still mapping then :)

@Kefka - thanks for all that feedback and glad the campaigns made you happy even if there are some really challenging maps! The beauty of the morale/directive system is you can use it to make maps easier if you so choose. Ideally people don't abuse it but if you are struggling you can just set your morale high and call in Titans using the Fracking/Heavyweight Directives. I do have ideas for a 3rd campaign but I won't start work until the fabled editor update arrives...

I have been playing the 28 and 29 years later campaigns constantly! I'm about to play this last level, and I just want to say, that I have loved every minute of it. (except the valkyrie mission) But it's been so good, so amazing, so much fun, that when I think of They are billions, I think of this as being the proper and official campaign, not the half baked and rushed official campaign that doesn't have any story or dialogue beyond "play more maps".

I just want you to know how much I have absolutely loved this whole experience, you've done an amazing job and I would be infinitely happy if you decided to make more maps. Even if it's not a whole new campaign, maybe a few side branches of the story with different characters would be fun.

Anyways, thank you again, You've made my last 2 weeks very happy!

Just finished through the campaign, why you got to make me choose at the very end?? awesome story nonetheless and I hope you enjoy your much needed break! Kudos to Soapp for the assist with the Titan and making it accessible to those across the Ocean. If you do make a part three, sign me up to play again! @Yulia11 - Ava is immune due to synthesized radiation treatment as a child, but McCauley is seen as the only perfect product as he is a blend of Ava/Johnny's DNA, synthesized radiation and the Mass itself. It's possible however that with McCauley as the Intelligence a method of having Ava join with the Mass could be found.
