Edit there was not 33 serial number stamps. Typo, There was three stamps on the frame. 1 ID Plate in cab, ID engine plate. Number of stolen tractors and they went thru chop shops parted out and parts sold for Glider Kits. .
LarryA May 1, 2020 @ 1:06am
Hi KCS Tyrpicaly back in the 60s and 70s the ICC numbers was "Not" on the tractor. Why you cannot find the pictures with ICC numbers. ICC numbers was put on the side of the tractors after de regulation. B4 de reg. DOT varified ICC number. Designated by unit number. Carried in the permit book. Unit number was required to be on the left and right side example conv painted on the hood or air cleaners. Not Always. Names on doors Not Always (Independent or Wild cat. DOT would ck Permits if questioned. Varified Base Plate, unit number, state permit, Bingo Card, DOT questioned the numbers varified the serial number stamped in the frame left side by fuel tank. 3 3 stamps on the tractor. The last 4 numbers year of MFG date. Some independents Not For Hire. On Paper purchased load and then sold load at destination. ICC exempt in that case.

The absolute hardest thing about these older companies, is trying to find photos with the detail Im trying to accomplish with these paintjobs that Im doing, sometimes, its spending more hours doing research, than actually doing the paint work. Also trying to find carriers actual mc and icc numbers, old state fuel tax stickers, permit plates, bingo cards, state permit numbers, etc. its almost impossible to find, but sometimes I get lucky with it
KCS4366  [author] Apr 30, 2020 @ 5:51pm
Im also currently working on another pack to add to the Greeley, Co group. Ive already have a couple of them painted in the Shupe Bros colors and Im gonna make Tri state commodities also, and make that an addition for this upcoming pack
KCS4366  [author] Apr 30, 2020 @ 5:47pm
No one stops to help anyone anymore. That is the road code I was mentioning before. The first couple of years when I first started driving, it someone broke down on the side of the road, many drivers would call to that trucker thats stranded to see if he needed help. There were many times Ive seen myself, and experianced a break down, and before I knew it, 4 and 5 other trucks would pull on the shoulder to give a hand, a part someone may have they would give it to you to get you going or at least get you to the next truck stop to get it fixed
KCS4366  [author] Apr 30, 2020 @ 5:47pm
Thanks for all the kind words about my work, Ive made it a goal to bring all these old companies no one knows anymore, and the ones that have heard of them or worked for them. I cant explain in words the joy it brings me, to bring these old memories to life in ATS for everyone to enjoy. The younger generations will never know or understand the friendships and the road code that older generation had. I drove for 15yrs myself and started driving in the early 90's, Ive made many friends that I still talk to today that still drive, and all of them tell me, its completely different since I stopped driving.
LarryA Apr 30, 2020 @ 11:51am
Long and short of all this rumbling: Gary Steinbecker pulled the tractors off Monfort and leased to W.J.Digby. If you see a newer tractor that Gary owned it will have a WJ Digby on the door and Monfort will be removed.
LarryA Apr 30, 2020 @ 11:38am
Further explanation. ICC had there own jurisdiction per state. Controlled by state DOT. If a independent or carrier did not comply. DOT notified ICC. The driver of the tractor was issued a ticket. The load had to be transfered to a carrier had authority. The unit was impounded. Carriers used the ICC to control freight movement. Carrier paid 80%_90% of gross revenue paid the load insurance. Tractor trailer and bob tail insurance plus federal, state road and fuel taxes was paid by the trip leaser. A shippers responsability to gurantee a carrier had ICC authority + insurance for that load to be transported from Point A to Point B. Wild Cater did not comply. Had No names on the doors. Never crossed a port of entry or scale. Base plate was off a wrecked tractor example 359 72 Pete base plate for 74 359 Pete. High paying freight over load it. Cheap freight dont pull it or add LTL to the load.
LarryA Apr 30, 2020 @ 11:05am
May help with name explanation. Prior to De regulation. Per ICC. Name had to be on the door had the ICC authority to pull example meat from Greeley to point B. Curtis, Digby, Monfort had the ICC authority tied up 4 meat loads. If you cut a trip lease had to put the name of the carrier on the door. In the log book had to enter On Duty Not Driving 30 minutes for cutting the lease plus truck inspection. Must be signed by safety and or CEO. That is why there is two names on the doors. ICC authority $$$$ could be contested by other carriers. Had to prove need in court. ICC haul a certain product from point A to point B on a designated route. PIE & Consolidated Freightways had Grand Father Authority gave them a blanket authority when ICC was first started. Back in the day. Any product or commodity not in its original form required ICC Authority. Produce and Livestock was exempt as an example. De Regulation cost the trucking companies to go belley up.

Have A Great Day and Please be safe.

W900a Truck #455 paintjob revised to correct color
KCS4366  [author] Apr 27, 2020 @ 12:37pm
not a problem, yup, I live here in southwest louisiana, no, not too much covid on this side of the state, Im one of the "essential" workers where I live, as a machinist at a refinery, but I drove trucks for 15yrs prior to me switching occupations back in 2008.
A older freightliner FLA or peterbilt 352 would be ideal for some of the frieght packs Ive been releasing. Ive been patently waiting for smarty to release his GMC generals also, I have many paintjobs waiting for it too lol
easy_stevey Apr 27, 2020 @ 11:54am
Great !....thanks for your work.....doing a great job. You in the states?...much Covid where your at?...Im mid-late 60's, had heart attach 3 yrs ago...sooo...been only getting groceries pretty much...im in that risk group for now...Take Care..:>) I'm trying to get Harven to make another 75-81 cab for the freightliner...and....maybe....a 1978 352 Pete Coe..:>).....keep twisting his arm..:>)
KCS4366  [author] Apr 27, 2020 @ 11:46am
cool deal, I'll revise it when I get home from work today. The tank straps can be chrome with the current w900a like it is
easy_stevey Apr 27, 2020 @ 10:17am
I got out my American Truck Historical Society magazine out and looked there. The "Jesus is Lord " is on the doors on the dk brown top stripe. The words on the sleeper is the " Steinbecker Bro "......BTW...the tank straps are chrome....maybe the straps to be chrome is the truck modders change?
KCS4366  [author] Apr 27, 2020 @ 9:53am
looking at the photo, I can see it on the sleeper, but I noticed there is the same style writing on the door, right above the Monfort logo, you wouldnt be able to tell me what it is also?
easy_stevey Apr 27, 2020 @ 9:41am
I apologize..i just looked at all your attached pics.....you have the actual pic there....I think it still could be darker chocolate brown...my opinion..:>) .....if you still want to play with it. Also....on the sleeper sides they had " Jesus is Lord " ...in white, if ya want to get really critical...I would like it..be awesome... You'll see it in the pic.
KCS4366  [author] Apr 27, 2020 @ 9:39am
I appreciate the info on that, I couldnt completely tell from the photo I had, it will be fixed, (not mad at all), I already have issues being sure on some of the colors due to being partially color blind, so someone that has seen it firat hand, always helps with these old companies, Id rather be as close as I can to the original as I possibly can. I did see some writing in the photo on the sleeper, was that Steinbecker Bro. on it?, if it was, I'll try to get the font and put it on there also
easy_stevey Apr 27, 2020 @ 9:28am
Cool....the Steinbecker Bro. color scheme.(leased to Monfort ) ....to be honest ( and not to make you mad at me..:>) )....the dark color on cab , fender small pin on hood, chassis, tanks steps were a dark chocolate brown .the small pin on fender was white.....for the record.....:>)......anyhow...looks awesome...thanks for the fix and x-tra paint..!!!
KCS4366  [author] Apr 27, 2020 @ 9:24am
its dependent on the mod I use whether the paintjob comes out glossy or not, Ive noticed, probably something dealing with the UV. The K100e that overfloater came out with, paintjobs would look flat, no matter what I did before he updated it the last time, now all my paintjobs for it are glossy unless I make the paint job flat.
Hopefully with a future update, the modder that did the w900a will address some UV issues that I messaged him about
easy_stevey Apr 27, 2020 @ 7:43am
I'll go check it out...:> ) Huge thanks...:>) I have a question for ya....I'll use the w900 A vs vipr2 pete.....on the kw the paints are kind of like flat where as the pete is glossy...i always wondered the difference in modeling is? Seems to me too that when you color a trailer that the color looks a little different than the tractor....maybe it's just me...:>) Again...thanks for your work on this !
KCS4366  [author] Apr 26, 2020 @ 8:05pm
added another w900a paintjob into the pack, also, adjusted the circus paintjob on the w900a for a temporary fix, till I can get the UV fixed because some parts are over lapped on the template and UV, so things are getting painted unintentionally. As soon as I get a fix, it will be fixed correctly
easy_stevey Apr 26, 2020 @ 2:28pm
No problem...its all good...:>)))
KCS4366  [author] Apr 26, 2020 @ 1:26pm
I knew about the tank straps being colored like that, the template is a little quirky, but I was planning on fixing it, with the next update I do on this pack,I have another paintjob to add to it for the A model KW. I wanted to paint the entire frame orange for the W900A, but Ill have to dig into the model for that, but I will get this fixed, it bugs me too lol.
No worries, youre not bothering me at all, its just taking me a while to get these updated, between the Version update and fixing these little issues too
easy_stevey Apr 26, 2020 @ 12:15pm
Sorry...one more thing ...forgot to mention...the chrome tank with painted straps....half white and half black......if you do change to orange...these would be orange as well...orry to bother again..later...:>)
easy_stevey Apr 26, 2020 @ 11:58am
I'm using the v1.37....:>)...with the Colo map in the wind....mabe youmight be interested in a couple of other Greeley biggies......Shupe Bro.......and Tri-State Commodities....basically the same paint scheme....if your interested, i can give you the colors..Stay Safe....thanks...
easy_stevey Apr 26, 2020 @ 11:51am
Don't know if you remember me,..anyhow...i'm the retired driver that drove for Monfort back in the day. I'm trying to see if the modder of the w900 A can add a spot so we can make a changeable frame ( chassis) ,and battery box (leaving the chrome front cover..:>)...) These were orange on the original A models. There was a couple ( the Tri-State Commodities bunch out a Greeley...as i also drove for ).. had the Double wide..but 99.9 % was the single. I new one fella who put 2 singles together...looked pretty cool..quite different...Don't know....but is it possible to just change the chassis an cab steps to orange? THANKS for the GREAT correct paint...really appreciate them...now...if VsTerminus will get the 1693 Cat going again....i'll have a huge smile..Take Care ! :>)

I do not hear anyone else complaining about my skins, and apparently, most others can figure things out, better than you I guess, if yiu dont like the way I do my stuff, dont use it, simple as that, Im gonna do it the way I do it because it works, and apparently works for many.
Yes I know the default reefer is the wrong era reefer, but most of the time I use default trailers because they work without any problems, yes I lock out many of the options AND lengths of trailera because, my skins are based on actual photos, again, if you dont like it, dont use it. Also the ratings I get because little kids dont get their way with my mods, suchs as locking paintjobs, locking trailer options and such, idgaf what the ratings say, if you dont like it , again, dont use it. I get many comments aside from comments here, most are liking what I do, some are not, but again I dont care
P3_Super_Bee Apr 11, 2020 @ 8:35am
Why can't you do the skins for trailers like everyone else? Would love to use Overfloater's Refer units with these, as the defualt refers are lame, not to mention wrong era. But because of the way you do skins. Can't be used..
KCS4366  [author] Apr 9, 2020 @ 7:45pm

KCS4366  [author] Apr 9, 2020 @ 5:38pm
The trailers are standable, they are not in the scs standard trailer tab, open the tab at top left corner, it the trailer viewer, scroll down till you see _moc, click it, it will display the first monfort trailer, go to the paint job tab, the others are in there
grneyedtrucker Apr 9, 2020 @ 3:45pm
@KCS4366 I'm not finding the skins for the trailers. I've checked all 3 45ft refers but not showing up. I even checked the 48 footers but not there either. Skin looks great on the W900A. Keep up the great work.
zacharyh910 Apr 8, 2020 @ 9:58am
Could you possibly do a Jevic skin for the FLD 2.1, K100, and FLB. All trucks are on the workshop. I don't know if you do trailers, but if you do, could you do a matching trailer?
Coldstream Apr 7, 2020 @ 9:48am
i love the skin are you going to ass more trucks i hope i love this skin
KCS4366  [author] Apr 3, 2020 @ 10:13am
hopefully before its all over with, we will be able to make that run from greeley to the point and back when they release the DLCs going through all those states
Lobster Apr 3, 2020 @ 9:48am
Nice, not many anymore, know what the Montfort lane means. I used to get told all the time on the CB back in my cow hauling days, bull wagon your gonna get in trouble out there in the Monfort lane. Love the work, thank you for sharing!
LarryA Apr 3, 2020 @ 5:16am
The circus wagons primarily ran from Monfort Greeley/New York Hunts Point Market. 1385 Miles 24 hours or less. Left lane was Monfort Lane. Monfort got the Nebraska Permits pulled shut down Monfort Transportation. Prior they were put on a Log fitness for log violations. Inspected at terminal by DOT every 30 days.
easy_stevey Apr 2, 2020 @ 10:22pm
