Great Mod, recent I found an complication with the Mod "Death Inventory Keeper", each time I die with the Key in my Inventar the game crash.

This is a incompatibillity between the Mods! Both alone works fine and after moving to Death Recovery Mod the Game doesn't Crash on Death anymore.

Screenshot or it didn't happen...Seriously though, it's been forever since I touched this version. I never managed to crash it though.

Good job! :)

So... Apparently the game doesn't like it if you try to purposefully drop the key you just made xD My game just crashed haha

Although, it may be because I had 2 bags of holding and 2 keys even though each key was tied to each bag that was placed. All I know is I pressed "O" on the Key because I was trying to focus on one bag at a time and I was wanting my Item Collector to pick it up. Next thing I know, I got a crash notification haha

For those interested, I did release a version where the weight of the bag is effected by the contents. The amount of weight and the total amount of slots are configurable via configs. It is NOT craftable, so it's up to admins/solo players to find a good place to put it(boss loot for example).

You should run this one or that one, not both.

Enjoy.

My husband just pointed out that the icon is a mimic! I had not even noticed.

xD That's fantastic!

I'm just surprised so many people actually get the reference :)

While Bag of Holding may be inaccurate in terms of true d&d, artistic interpretations?

Either way, I'm glad you like it.

This mod needs more positive ratings. The one-way transfer makes gathering resources and loot an on-your-way kind of endeavor rather than a focused, lengthy task. I do not have to toss things that I know I need as I'm running around; I can simply send them home to put away later.

Additionally, as I said, this item works as a one-way transfer of items and resources, making this both not instant access to all of your valuables and not quite a "bag of holding". The lack of super cheese factor is a great bonus!

And...as muuuch as I do enjoy DnD...I think the name "bag of holding" is actually doing this mod a disservice. Like I said, this item doesn't actually function as the item it gets its name from, and that might be keeping people away as it that concept is verrry OP.

In any case, I love this mod! It really does need more thumbs up!

Great mod.

Yeah I figured it would be accessed just like any structure I have access to, maybe I'll die/spawn and see if that straightens it out.
Quellcrest  [autor] 26 MAR 2020 a las 6:53
I really disliked the idea of having to place down the structure to do it.

I'm currently playing around with others ways to do it. If I find one I like I'll add another version to this mod.

"I know I cannot receive, only Transmit, but once I'm at the item (at my crafting area for example) I cannot 'open' the bag to transfer the items back to my inventory. "
Other than being pincoded, it's just a box that has basic structure access, meaning you need to own it somehow(personally placed it or in the same tribe).
Cracksocks 26 MAR 2020 a las 6:43
I'd like to ask, why have it send it anywhere though, why not like a container you place down anywhere, stuff things in it, pick it back up & continue or even a foot skin (there aren't many utility foot skins... that I've seen anyhow.)?
Cracksocks 26 MAR 2020 a las 6:41
I really do like the idea, a sort of personal version of the S+ Item Translocator
Cracksocks 26 MAR 2020 a las 6:39
I know I cannot receive, only Transmit, but once I'm at the item (at my crafting area for example) I cannot 'open' the bag to transfer the items back to my inventory.
Quellcrest  [autor] 26 MAR 2020 a las 6:05
Lol. A tempermental item...that would be fun.

It's a one way bag. You can send stuff, can't receive. There's a short video up top demoing it.
Cracksocks 26 MAR 2020 a las 3:49
How does one retrieve the items from the bag? I get no option to open inventory, (as I assumed one would get) Perhaps I got a teen bag and it doesn't do as it is told.:steammocking:
SOBEK 25 MAR 2020 a las 1:57
Just saying , impressive mod :)
TyrantLyzardKyng 24 MAR 2020 a las 18:49
I watched it and understood the current functionality, but wasn't sure if you could have multiple bags & keys to those bags. It would be so awesome if you could do that! What I would think would work is the key checking the weight of the bag (back at your base or w/e) and adjusting it's own weight accordingly (minus it's weight reduction). Finding different rarities and those bags having better/worse properties would be beyond anything I could ask for and would be so awesome! Hope you can at least get the former working.

On a side note: you are quickly becoming my favorite new modder, sir! You have added 2 mods I have wanted since I started playing years ago, all in like one week!
Quellcrest  [autor] 24 MAR 2020 a las 18:36
There's a short video, it basically demos the current functionality of the item.

In short. It's a structure with a linked item. You use the item on other items and they are moved into the original structure. They're not on you anymore, at all.

You can have multiple keys linked to multiple bags, but only 1 key per bag. You could have multiple bags, each with their own key, but they'll look the same and have the same name(the keys, not the bags). Would be pretty confusing.

I am investigating a way to remotely access the inventory. If I get it working in a 100% reliable kind of way, I'll definitely do something different. ie: Find the bag in loot, the rarity determines the capacity and/or weight reduction of the items inside.
TyrantLyzardKyng 24 MAR 2020 a las 18:08
Going to try this out in a bit. But can you have multiple 'bags'? Like a resource bag, an ammo bag, etc. And is it possible to make it so we can remotely access the bags from the inventory item? Like clicking 'use' on the key will remotely open the bag? Finally, if you can do that last bit is it possible to make it so the weight of items in the bag affect your character's weight, but offer a (say 50%) reduction in weight to items in the bag? I ask these questions because I have always wanted a mod that adds what are effectively a bags system similar to World of Warcraft or other MMO's, to extend our inventory carrying capacity in a somewhat realistic way.

Ender chest but in Ark
>:3 I must have
SOBEK 24 MAR 2020 a las 15:39
Thanks for info :) Good luck on outer projects :)
Quellcrest  [autor] 24 MAR 2020 a las 15:29
It's a glorified storage box. It has no bonuses for spoil timers.

It definitely works on singleplayer/dedicated and should on non-dedicated as well.
SOBEK 24 MAR 2020 a las 15:25
Btw. What with coop play ? How mod work/or not on small non dedicated servers.
SOBEK 24 MAR 2020 a las 15:19
Hi. One thing. How long bag can hold primal meets or rare things like flowers or mushrooms or outer items with short carry time ?
