Carthage does not seem to have some of the new government reforms most tags have, such as the Military doctrines and organisation
beardofaaron Jun 18, 2024 @ 6:22am
what is the tag for Donatist?

Reloader  [author] Oct 17, 2023 @ 9:35am
@FalloutGod48 this behavior is unintended With Kingdom Collection Core running, you should be able to form it before admin 10 at the costs of splendor/mana points. With Kingdom Collection Core downloaded and enabled, this should be fixed.
FalloutGod49 Oct 4, 2023 @ 4:01pm
can you make a change so you don't have to have dip (or was it adm?) tech 10 to form, I need to form as soon as possible because I'm making a custom map and I need Carthage for it.
RuberMuncher Jun 4, 2022 @ 1:36pm

Ignore comments below :) This workshop page now features the latest 2.1 version of the mod. Make sure you also have the Kingdom Collection Core active!

Is it still possible to get new jewish faith?
Niconicotine Aug 8, 2020 @ 9:09pm
A GREAT mod indeed! I wonder if there will be a gradual revival of Phoenician culture through events in later game? I think it enhances the immersion somehow. (I have only played for about 80 years so not sure about the late game) Besides, I'm not actually quite familiar with Carthage History, but I think maybe you can design a unique government reform for the re-born Carthage? As a Phoenician city-state and being famous for their trade, seafaring and colonization, maybe a unique government reform tier which focuses on these issues will be a good idea??
Terra9827 Jul 13, 2020 @ 4:01am
always thought why it wasnt even formable in the first place
Reloader  [author] Jun 21, 2020 @ 2:00pm
@Vlasy Thank you very much :) I'll fix it
Vlasy Jun 21, 2020 @ 1:29pm
I got a bug in missions. Dominate Genoa trade note. the sea region it told me to dominate was actually next to sea region(to the left) where genoa trade note located. And instead of name of trade note it tells "Null" i think its b'cos sea regions dont match. I wonder is it only me? i dont use any other mods that can mess prov's or sea id's.

what's the country tag for carthage when it's formed?
Jeremicus Africanus Jun 18, 2020 @ 6:28am
And Carthage should be able to create before 10tech because it's boring to play another country that's long.
Jeremicus Africanus Jun 18, 2020 @ 6:26am
I think in ideas Qarth Hadasht should have bonus for mercenaries and construction cost, also flag shuoldn't be yellow and purple. Plis change flag.

Not ENTIRELY sure about this, but for anyone else who may be encountering problems with this working with Lux in Tenebris I believe this mod has to be behind LiT in your load order as LiT overwrites all decisions. (Also I think you need to own and core the province of Tunis before the event comes up.)
Lord Greenthumb Jun 1, 2020 @ 7:51am
Carthage is great, the option for more pagans is an added bonus.
Reloader  [author] May 25, 2020 @ 11:36am
@Apricotine I've actualy looked into it because I was curious. It does work pretty well. But LiT moved Tunis into the Arabic culture group which does NOT meet the requirment to form Carthage.

The next update will also allow it for Arabic countries. Please considere an upvote.
LOLDiamond May 25, 2020 @ 8:34am
@Apricotine No crap, Sherlock

@bronpix08 Hannibal is long dead but you can play his descendants e.g. "Hamilcar Barca"
bronpix08 May 11, 2020 @ 10:33am
can you make hannibal barca like 5 fire 5 shock 3 manuver 2 siege?
ajacksonian May 10, 2020 @ 9:35pm
The reason I ask is that modder had traced the remnant population of the Carthaginians to a few places: El Rif, Mallorca and a province opposite El Rif on Iberia. You had choices of an independent Merchant Republic in El Rif, a vassal of the Sunnis in Iberia or a vassal of the Byzantine Empire on Mallorca. The game mechanics for that mod are not well balanced for the religion, and the stuff you can build makes for an OP Merchant Republic although it did adhere to Carthaginian building principles and infrastructure. I think the challenge was to make the superstate, as the OP elements would be balanced by the sheer scale of the endeavor in CKII.
Reloader  [author] May 10, 2020 @ 5:54am
@ajacksonian I do not know this mod. But I'd say the balancing is vanilla-like.

@Doomed World There is a mission to rebuild the Cothon/Harbor.
ajacksonian May 10, 2020 @ 2:57am
Is this mod similar to the Dido's Legacy mod for CKII? That one was a bit OP, but it did feature making a Carthiginian superstate which was interesting given its size.
Doomed World May 6, 2020 @ 6:53pm
A dicisions to rebuild the harbor of carthage would be cool
ZZMitch Apr 12, 2020 @ 2:10pm
Cool mod! Is it possible to start the game as Carthage and not have to form it? Would be fun to start as a small Carthage in a Byzantium-like situation :)
Reloader  [author] Apr 9, 2020 @ 8:40am
@Panther I am looking into it. Working on NGC right now.

"Highly compatible. Conflicts only with other mods that use the tag KTH."
Quimera Apr 9, 2020 @ 8:26am
May it be compatible with "Lux in Tenebris" mod??
Francis Apr 8, 2020 @ 3:31am
I think this is very good:steamhappy:
PenguBoy Apr 7, 2020 @ 12:54pm
Great Work dude, say how about a decision to revive the culture similar to the one the roman empire gets, I mean if we have phoenician why not use it, maybe even move the culture to a different group, say Levantine, cuz tbh the lost cultures group is basically useless, unless you get a big cccr modifier
Anyawy keep up the good work owo
Reloader  [author] Apr 7, 2020 @ 4:39am
@Nullex Good to hear 👍I am thinking about adding some mechanic where you can choose to empower the oligarchy or the clan (dictator style).

@Nullex, @Lithunoisan Hussars I am thinking about adding a new religion in a big patch, Canaanite is another very interresting idea.

I am working in my other mod "North German Confederation" right now
Nullex Apr 6, 2020 @ 7:59pm
Ahhh, after yesterday's patch, I found a quick fix to the problem. Turns out I just had to reinstall the mod again haha!

I have no complaints, just words of encouragement for ya dude. It would be nice to have a different government form though, functioning similar to a Merchant Republic that retains some kind of semblance to a federation.

For religion, Canaanite seems to be the proper one. It could function similar to Hindu/Orthodox, allowing the player to select the buffs they want. Still, I'm looking forward for what you have to create. I don't want to restrict the mind behind this mod afterall, keep up the good work!
Lithunoisan Hussars Apr 6, 2020 @ 4:43pm
there should be a custom religion
Reloader  [author] Apr 6, 2020 @ 5:50am
@Nullex, @Nuggz Thank you very much for both reports 😊I fixed non-Dharma players not becoming a republic. If you have an ongoing savegame, you get a special decision that will allow you to become a republic

@Nullex I sadly couldn't figure out, why you didn't get the new national ideas. You did get the new "New Traditions & Ambitions" event, yes?

@Nuggz There is a new decision that lets you disable the decision to form Tunis.
Nullex Apr 5, 2020 @ 8:06pm
Good day to you Mod dev, I've seen your Mod in Reddit around 2 days ago. Needless to say, I was hooked into the premise your mod is centered around. The missions tree, even on this mod's initial stage, feels fleshed out already. Kudos to that!

I found my Sicily game cut short shortly afterwards culture shifting to Greek, not because I was bored. I stopped because I realized that I don't have the NI's of Carthage when I clicked the decision. The government is still a monarchy too, but I guess it happens. I disabled all other mods (including graphic ones) and the problem is still there.

This is a great mod in the making, and I hope ya take the time you need to make it better ^^ Thanks for this mod, and goodluck!
Nuggz Apr 5, 2020 @ 5:40pm
also, for some reason, Carthage still gets the Decision to form Tunis
Reloader  [author] Apr 5, 2020 @ 1:35pm
@Nuggz it's gonna be fixed in the next update (it didn't work for non-dharma players)
@TheDemonOrToad123 yes, look at "how to form Carthage" under discussions
JAMINMAN!@#$ Apr 5, 2020 @ 6:20am
Can i be a catholic Carthage?
